This used to be my favorite restaurant....up until our past 2 visits. The food has went downhill, the staff is not attentive and act like you are bothering them in order for you to get any service (for instance - asking for clean silverware for 2 out of the 5 people we were with) ALSO; for a place that advertises on Henry County lease access for homemade tortillas AND they have neon signs for homemade tortillas INSIDE the restaurant...MAKE SURE YOU READ THE LITTLE 8X10 PRINTED SIGN POSTED AT THE HEIGHT OF A 2 YEAR OLD!!!! You only get homemade tortillas IF YOU REQUEST IT!!! After all, wouldnt most people prefer store bought, tough, bagged tortillas?! When I asked why I had store bought with my molcajete dish; I was told that I past the sign on the way in, where I should of requested it when ordering. This place used to be top notch, now just cheap and cutting corners. P.S. - Dont expect for everyone in your party to get their meal at the same time so you can eat together.

So we (family) have given Castillo Real 5 chances. So why 5? I always believe that any day can be a bad day and that includes eating experiences, besides, we have limited choices in McDonough. Anyway, each time we have tried this restaurant, the service has been slow, orders wrong and the food just marginal. I will acknowledge that the time before our last, the manager waived part of the meal (the reason we returned). The last visit was Memorial Day. The service was somewhat timely; however, the food was awful and I got ripped off on my second Texas Margarita. When you spend $12 on a drink, you should not get stiffed. We will never go back to Castillo Real... although we gave them several chances.

Fantastic family owned I have always followed them and love their food and employees Always smiling and that is great as having hard day at work nice too see people smiling making you feel welcome Food was great and my service was up to par I have came with large groups and must admit we order lots food and drinks and we understand serving group this size takes time to get all food out together and drinks We have patients and understanding serving group this size and dont mind waiting This is the only place we go to in Henry County Keep up the good work you all earned my hard earned money

Sat and waited for 30 minutes while they had tables open. Was told by hostess that she cant seat anyone at open tables because kitchen was backed up. We would have loved to just eat chips and salsa at one of the open tables instead of sitting without drinks or chips. Hostess was just talking to her friends and not paying attention to what was going on. Sat a party that came in behind us before we ended up leaving.

Waited for 30 minutes with 5 tables open, only to be told by hostess that they "cant sit us because the kitchen is backed up." What does the kitchen have to do with the 5 open tables? Would have gladly sat and ate chips and salsa while we waited for kitchen to catch up. We left before we got seated. Wont be going back.

Great place to come fall back, relax and chill. If you werent in the mood for Mexican food when you get here, you will soon after you enter as the food is excellent, the service and staff are great and the Texas Fajita is to die for. Great food and atmosphere, a MUST stop by if youre passing through McDonough. ✌
