So I went to this place on 6/15/16, I was excited to see that there was a Caribbean Restaurant in this area. So when I went in there was three women at the counter, two younger and one older. First of all there was no type of greeting when I walked in or even when I approached the counter no one still said anything until I stood there and pointed at someone and then finally someone took my order. The younger female that fixed my plate had the WORST attitude ever!!!!!!!!! While she was fixing my plate she was talking under her breath with an attitude to the other female because I was asking what were the different dishes in the pans. I feel like if Im spending MY money to help your business out you should train your staff to be more pleasant. So needless to say, I told whoever was at the register to forget it because I dont want to spend my money with people that allow there staff to be rude and be disrespectful. I feel like this is how the black community fail with one another because we dont know how to treat one another. Hopefully the lady talked to her staff about giving that 100% customer service when I walked out and told her nevermind because Im not spending my money with someone that cant find a better attitude. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO NOONE

2nd experience. I wont divulge my first visit and why it took me a year to go back. Anyway... However the portions have shrunk significantly. We ordered oxtails and got about 4 pieces in a box. On top of that we purchased $80.00 in food to go. My fiances meal was not ready (they said 10 more minutes) so my girlfriend and I sat at a table waiting and started tasting our food. The cashiers were staring and whispering. We were wondering what the problem was since the bill was paid. The lady came over to inform us that we couldnt take out our food while we were waiting. Since some other person would come out and get upset if they saw us eating. I was amazed. We either had to get plates to stay or leave! The tables were all empty! Are you kidding me? For $80 Ill go somewhere welcoming. On top of that they act like youre begging for the food. No customer service skills.

I would never go back. Staff was rude. Lied and told me they were out of patties, only to have me change my order to jerk chicken that I had to wait for about 15 minutes. The next thing I know another server was getting another customer behind me some patties they were supposed to be out of. My server after realizing that there were patties after all had the nerve to ask me if I still want the patties after she made me change my mind to some jerk chicken I was not at all impressed with. I could have done a better jerk chicken in my own oven at home. To me, if youre not gonna use the drum and smoke that chicken the authentic way ah best yuh nah badda. Just slapping grace jerk seasoning and putting it in the oven isnt giving it the real yardie taste. And to make matters worse, they told me I couldnt order a side of plaintain. Really? What nonsense.

I was a faithful customer until...the Jerk Chicken stopped tasting the same. It tastes like the bottled up brand. Secondly, the service is absolutely awful. I would order plate and patty and they would forget patty. This one instance they told me they were out and did not bother to check to see if or when new ones were coming out. The lady in line with me told the cashier saw in the kitchen new ones coming out and she ignored her only to rush me out and take her payment. Also, they used to allow any gravy on rice and peas and now they do not allow that at all. Lastly, like the other reviewers have stated the prices have gone up and are ridiculous. Fortunately, they are not the monopoly in the neighborhood anymore. I am taking my money elsewhere.

The customer service and employee training is extremely lacking and this is BY FAR the slowest store in the Gwinnett area. Absolutely unacceptable, when theres already prepared food (in the front part of the kitchen area) and a full staff (at least 6 people just up front) the service should NOT take over 25 mins and even when you finally get your food the cashier and other staff have NO sense of urgency, so expect to wait at least 10 more minutes to just cash out. Unless you have an hour to burn PLEASE reconsider and go to another Jamaican restaurant. However objectively speaking IF the restaurant is COMPLETELY empty (which never happens because there always a line, BECAUSE SERVICE IS SO SLOW) then the food is definitely above average.

Where to start I had multiple experience here.i will not suggest any go here..Or waste their time money or gas..The owner miss ionies her attitude is unpleasant.i spoke to her about the customer service I received from one her employee and also about my food and her response was once the food leave the store their is nothing she can do.i clearly stated I understand that I am not returning the meal but I didnt not get the correct order..She didnt offer a courtesy meal next visit or anything her response was I am sorry to loose u as a customer but their is nothing I can do. That the owner speaking to me like that so I am not surprised why her employee are so rude n unprofessional.

Great food & patties..BUT the service is horrible. 1. There is always a wait of 15 or more minutes, even of there is 1 person ahead of you. 2. I usually go for the beef patties and still have to wait for. 3. I always call 1st to make sure they are available b4 I go b/c you would think that they would bake enough beef patties for the lunch hours from 11- 1... NOT. 4. The servers watch tv & coversate with each other while preparing your food. 5. It takes them 10 - 15 mins to complete 1 order. 6. I cringe when I have to go here. Sometimes Id rather go to Mr.Chin on memorial for the good & fast customer service.

I cannot believe it. My friend and I bought 2 lunches to go, but we both decided to eat some of our lunches in the restaurant. So as we sat and ate one of the servers came up to us and told us we could not eat from "to go containers" in the restaurant. Needless to say we were both shocked and embarrassed. We paid full price for our lunches and even offered to pay the tip. That is the stupidest,dumbest and most inhospitable rule Ive ever experienced in a restaurant. If you need extra gravy in a small plastic container they charge .25c for the container. Not very customer friendly people.

NEVER again, NEVER EVER, EVER NEVER. I cannot believe this place is still in business. They are the rudest people I have seen in my life. they run out of food, staff is rude for no reason & they have you waiting. *I drove to Mamas Paradise on Satellite Blvd., this place was Worth the drive. Mamas Paradise on Satellite Blvd is awesome, great customer service & a ton of food for the price. I paid $9.99 for a large curry chicken. Please try *for the record I have no stakes with either restaurant, I like good food with good service. Ionies Island Kitchen & the staff can kick rocks.
