Three Colors Asian Kitchen is a Chinese takeout joint located in a mostly empty shopping center near the intersection of Lower Roswell Rd. and South Marietta Pkwy. (South 120 Loop). The restaurant has been around for years. Ive always wondered why its called "Three Colors" and asked the owner. He told me he didnt know -- he purchased the restaurant from the previous owner circa 2011. I guess it will always remain a mystery to me! For what it is (Chinese takeout), Three Colors is good. Ive had both dine-in and takeout experiences and have been satisfied each time. Though there isnt a huge difference between these types of places, I do give an edge to Three Colors over nearby competitors like China Kitchen (South Loop) and 7 Star (Windy Hill). The food just tastes better. There is zero ambiance and minimal decor inside the restaurant. You can tell this place is designed for and primarily handles takeout and delivery orders. The interior resembles an empty office space filled with tables and booths. Combined, there are about 10 tables and booths. Like other Chinese takeout restaurants, the menu at Three Colors is huge with over 100 options. In addition to Chinese food, they also serve a wings (in several different flavors) and a limited selection of Thai dishes. If you visit for lunch, be sure to check out the lunch specials on the back of the menu. Lunch combos include soup and an egg roll and are under $6-7 each. Dinner versions of these combos are typically under $9-10 each, as are most other entrees on the menu. A good value. Some dishes I like and recommend are the Mongolian beef ($6.25 lunch, $8.95 dinner) and Singapore mei fun noodles ($8.95). Both are flavorful and delicious. Technically speaking, there is nothing Mongolian about Mongolian beef. Its slices of beef (flank) cooked with onions and scallions and a generous portion of a savory brown sauce partially made out of hoisin and soy sauce. Its quite tasty and served with fried rice by default, atop a bed of white crispy noodles. The fried rice here has bits of egg in it, which I like. The Singapore mei fun noodles are tasty. This noodle dish is made out of thin rice vermicelli noodles that have been cooked with a curry powder, giving the noodles their flavor and yellow-ish color. The dish is mildly spicy and comes with small tender chunks of chicken, scallion, and onion. Its a filling Cantonese comfort food and one dish I think most people would enjoy. The soups (wonton, egg drop, hot and sour) that come with the combos are par for the course. They come with those addictive crispy fried wonton wrappers. The egg rolls are fine too. All dishes are presumably loaded in sodium, but not so excessive that the dishes are unappetizing. No MSG is used and "healthy" dishes are available, though the options are slim. They are served with brown rice, instead of white rice or fried rice, and sauce on the side. Good, friendly service.

I was trying to try out this new restaurant because of their ratings they came off to be very nice people I called them to see if they delivered in my area which is Franklin Road and they said yes but I had told them that I was going to call them back because I had to make a little money transfer on my card they said that was fine but at the end of the night they block my phone number at first I thought they might have been busy and then when I called on a different number apparently they answer the phone and then the guy admits to blocking my number like if I was trying to rob them which I was going to do no such thing I felt like that was completely uncalled for all because I live on Franklin Road I wasnt making a prank call but I wouldnt waste my time if I was anybody else they shouldnt even get a rating if anything

A lot of food for the money. Flavorful too. Nice packaging of takeout. Polite service when ordering takeout. Decor a bit stark but okay. Unfortunately, the food has either a high salt or MSG content as both times Ive eaten there (one steamed dish/no sauce and another garlic chicken, sauced) my hands and feet were very swollen a few hours later. Too bad as they are very close and convenient. If salt is not an issue for you then give them a try.

By far my favorite Chinese restaurant! Delicious food and very reasonable prices. The people here are always friendly and quick. Everything I have had here has been fantastic. My favorite dishes have been the orange chicken, general tsos chicken, and sesame chicken. I also definitely recommend the Chinese donuts. The portion sizes are large and great for sharing. If you havent tried Three Colors then you wont be disappointed!

I have been a loyal take out customer for a few years. This place has constantly provided fast, and high quality food. When my family wants excellent food we always order from here. Everything is hot when it arrives, always a superb taste and large portions. We love Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, crab Rangoons and tasty chicken wings. I am glad they are in my neighborhood.

My family and I have eaten here countless times both take out and delivery for last 8 months. I have had nothing but good service and the food is very good taste and quality. When I moved here I tried a dozen other places once but the service and consistency keeps me coming back to 3 Colors. Love the 3 Colors Fried Rice, Wonton Soup and Lo Mein.

I have been eating here on a weekly basis for 18 months, nothing but fabulous service, speedy delivery and hot food. Everyone is so nice, and Three Colors definitely recognizes their loyal customers. Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Three Colors fried rice, and the wonton soup are some of my favorites. GO THERE!

By far worst Chinese food experience. Not only did it take them over an hour to bring my food, but they messed up my order. The portions are ridiculously small for the price. You could not pay me to eat here again. No clue how they even have as high of a review as they do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME EATING HERE!!

This was the worst place ever. After waiting over an hour when it finally arrived it was cold. My sweet and sour still tasted uncooked. The portions suck. And that regular white rice. This is not a real Chinese place. Someone said call and complain but I would never eat even a free meal from this place.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in terms of value in the area. The food is delicious and the portions are generous, in addition the prices are great for all that you get. The Sesame chicken is my favorite. I always call ahead and pick up, so I cant speak to delivery. Staff is friendly.

It smells good in there. My cousin tried out the food and loved it! I wished I couldve tried it but due to certain circumstances I was kept from trying it out. When I get the chance to, this will be the first restaurant I go to!! The employees are so hard working in there, tip them more people!

Been coming here for over five years and have never had anything but the Generals Chicken and the Broccoli Beef. Theyre both so good, I cant bring myself to try anything else. They always get my order right and its always delicious. Very nice people once they get to know you!
