I have no idea why, but their pizza is noticeably better than anywhere else around, including other Mellow Mushroom stores. We literally drive past the Mellow Mushroom on HWY 92 just to get to the Shallowford store. Dont let the looks of the place fool you (It sits in an uninviting, lonely, half empty strip-mall). This is the best pizza in town my by a mile and the waitstaff is extremely friendly. Mellow Mushroom Shallowford has become an integral part of Friday night ritual. P.S. There is also a great little package store run by a friendly old couple, a couple doors down at the end of the strip where you can pick up some beer or a bottle of wine to wash down your pizza.

08/24/2016 Still eating there and have upped my rating. Try the steak sandwich. Always excellent pizza. But the waiter, a dude, has been there forever. Time to move on Dude. We walked out one time... yes, we are back again, because the pizza is that good, when the waiter let our pizza sit on the counter for 15 minutes (not an exaggeration), waiting for the waiter... Thats You Dude! ... to take it to the table. This is the only place I know (all MMs) where you MUST fail a drug test to get hired. Been going to them since the first on on Spring ST. Go TECH! I still love you Windy, B. She was a waitress there.

MEllow Mushroom always does a great job - and if for some reason you arent satisfied - usually they make you another pie -- great pizza for Marietta - a little SLO - but then again things were that way back in the 70s man ! Retro hippie thing going on - you boomers will feel right at home - this is the way we remember the pizza and the service --

Great people, great pizza, decent beer selection, nice family-friendly atmosphere. Prices are creeping up, however and specialty pizzas are straight up overpriced. If you go easy on the toppings its a pretty good value and the large salads are huge so you can split those 3 or 4 ways. Not a huge dining area so on busy nights the wait can be long.

Mellow opened in Atlanta GA back in 1974. They combine the best ingredients, a real pizza oven, and hand toss every pizza. No assembly line here. The pizza is simply the best pizza you can buy. The staff is wonderful and always in a great mode. Order the perfect pizza with a cold brew and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

Everything there is awesome, including the servers and the pizza chefs. Our favourites are the Buffalo Chicken on a blue cheese base and my kids love the pepperoni pizzas and calzones. The Greek salad its a staple for me and the Cobb for the missus. A good beer selection usually tops off a great night!

WOW! Great service, great food, great atmosphere!! I enjoy grabbing a calzone for lunch or ordering a large pizza with the family. The place is small and decorated a bit dark, but it makes for a fun place to eat and chat. The staff is friendly and always serve with a smile.

The pizza and toppings are high quality and it remains in my very limited pizza rotation. My only issue is the toppings are so sparse. If Im going to pay $3.25 for portabello mushrooms, I expect more than a single sliver per slice.

Had the #1 Lunch Special. Upgraded the salad to the small Greek with a slice of pizza, drink included. I love eating here because the food is always good. It is a cornerstone of the community.
