My wife and I went for an early dinner one day. The beer menu was not anything special, some local and some hard to find. But nothing that you couldnt get at any other bar or liquor store in town. The kicker is that the beers that are $5 at any other bar in the area were $8 here. I was kind of blown away at the price hike. The pizzas we "meh". I expected a lot from a pizza that was called the cuban pork. It was very underwhelming and under seasoned. It was missing salt and heat. My wife got the mediterranean pie. The shrimp were dreadful. They should have been grilled with a lemon butter sauce, instead they were boiled in unsalted water and put on the pizza wet. We know this because under the shrimp was some water. All in all I cant say that I would recommend it. Both pizzas were very disappointing especially for $14 each (10 inch), and the beer menu was not what I expected from a restaurant that is called Pies and PINTS...

My husband and I decided to give Pies and Pints a go 2/19/15. There was a 90 minute wait, but we managed to find 2 seats at the bar within 5 minutes of arriving so we decided to have dinner there. Our bartender was impeccable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in her suggestions about what beer to try and food to order. She told us we could get a large pizza with 2 different specialities so we got the classic pizza and the Margherita. The pizza crust, toppings, cheese were incredible; probably the best we have had in Lexington. No question the quality in these ingredients! Their gorgonzola dressing is fabulous and great to dip the crust in too. We had such a positive experience, that we went back 2 days later and placed the same order. Our second visit was as fabulous as the first. We have already invited 2 other couples to go back with us this weekend.

I went to this establishment with a group of Co workers and disappointed by the service. First off my pizza order was incorrectly put in incorrectly and brought out to us. When ordering i specifically stated no mushrooms and when the pizza arrived it was the wrong size and had mushrooms on it. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that she saw the 1 piece of mushroom but bought it to the table anyway. She then goes and gets the manager who comes over and says who has the allergy. I spoke up and her reply was "we didnt know if it was an allergy or a dislike" My problem is if I specifically requested no mushrooms it doesnt matter if its a dislike or allergy. Very disappointed in this type of service and will not go back. Wondering where mangement was trained in customer service.

Visiting Lexington from out of state so tried restaurant recommended by a friend. Ordered chicken wings and Margherita pizza. The wings were different w dry rub and no traditional sauce. They tasted ok but some were burnt. The pizza came and I thought they brought out the wrong order. Asked server "is this the Margherita pizza? And the answer was yes it is. There were no slices of fresh mozzarella or fresh tomatoes or basil leaves. Instead it looked and tasted like a cheese pizza with shredded basil leaves. I have had the real pizza in all major US cities and sorry Lexington this aint it!! Either someone made the wrong pizza or pizza joint didnt know what a real Margherita pizza should be. The crust was decent. Either way for $23 it was a major disappointment and mistake!!!

The name pretty much tells it all! With plenty of options for pizzas & brews, the options are limitless - at least in one visit. There are also other menu items as well. I dropped by this place for the first time during Pizza Week 2016. It has a very cool atmosphere, with variety of seating, exposed brick walls, and plenty of televisions to catch sporting events. And not to mention, its very centrally located across from Triangle Park, Rupp Area, and other shops and hangouts; some located in the same building. Whether your catching a game, or just want to have a great pizza and a drink, this is the place!

I think I got food poisoning from this restaurant. About 3 hours after I ate there, I developed the signs and symptoms of food-borne illness, and Im still sick 24 hours later. I reported it to the Public Health department. My guess is that the spinach salad that I ate wasnt washed-- I requested the spinach salad with no dressing, and it was the driest salad Ive ever eaten... I seriously doubt it was washed. Ive reported the incident, and hopefully the health department will visit them and set things straight. I liked the restaurant-- had fun while I was there-- but I wont be going back. :(

Went here about a week ago with my husband and we loved it. It helps to know about their reservation process -- get an app called "The List" and you can track how many parties are ahead of you and time it pretty right so you dont need to wait a lot; this place has been PACKED OUT lately. The atmosphere is really nice and the food was great - pizzas both exotic like at Mellow Mushroom and classic flavors and toppings too, well made and tasty. I was also struck by how nice the bathroom smelled, which is a quality I dont think Ive ever noticed in a public restroom before.

Weve eaten at this restaurant more than once. They have the best gluten free pie around in my wifes opinion who has an intolerance. Unfortunately we decided to take out this evening and my wife wanted the pulled pork nachos and I, looking forward to trying the regular crust pizza, got the margherita pizza. Her pork nachos were overcooked and my pizza was terrible. Had good fresh basil taste, but thats it. Speedway pizza beats what I just had. so disappointed. The two stars are for previous, satisfying visits. But we wont count this in our "go to" anymore.

Stopped in for a light dinner. We enjoyed salads and the rosemary flatbread (drizzled in balsamic, comes with tasty goat cheese). The small salad is definitely big enough for 2 people and wont leave you overstuffed if you share, who knew you could get full on vegetables? If you enjoy sweet wine try the domaine du tariquet sauvignon blanc. Its sweet but not too sweet, $6 a glass. Our server, Josh, was very kind and knowledgeable. Pies and pints is definitely on our list of go to places when we come back to Lexington!

The pizza is so-so, but the real treat is the beer. Great craft beer selection and you can have a beer while you wait for your table! How awesome is that? I was really surprised when I ordered the Pine and Swine and asked for a bottle of Sriracha. The waitress went out of her way to see that I got a bottle. The only downside to this place is cost. Definitely not an everyday place, but its okay for every now and then dining. Disclaimer: Im living on a college student budget, so ymmv.

Pizza was pretty good- not excellent, but no complaints. The complaint was in experience. It took me almost 2 hours to get out of there during non-rush hour (3:00pm). I never figured out who my server was. They did give me a small discount which I appreciated. They were nice, but it was insanely hard to get my order taken, get napkins, refills...etc. The woman I was with had he same experience last time she went.
