As someone who has lived in both Thailand and China, I can honestly say that this is the best reproduction of genuine Thai cuisine that I have found back home in the States. The Chinese menu is also superior to other establishments in the greater Atlanta area and the dishes are prepared using genuine ingredients that you will find in Thailand, China and Japan, not ones that are just popular with our American taste buds. Also, Im always astonished at the low prices for these dishes as compared to other similar establishments, especially the lunch menu prices. The sushi is prepared with care, the soups are hot and fresh, and the rice and meat dishes are prepared to exact perfection. Many of the staff are also native to each specialty and are impeccably professional and courteous, like you will find in restaurants in their respective homelands. It is a warm trip back down memory lane for both my mind and my stomach every time I visit.

I dont know if these other reviewers have ever had a decent meal out, much less good Asian food, but our experience at Ably has been terrible on three different occasions and for a variety of selections from both the Chinese and Thai menus. The food is greasy, the spring rolls are filled with unknown contents, the chicken coconut soup was a ridiculous bowl of flat broth with a few gnarled tidbits, and it seems like they must add sugar to absolutely everything. If youre desperate for Asian cuisine in this county, opt for Peking Palace. Its a bit better but still a disappointment. If you want the real McCoy, drive down to Atlanta. Dont waste your hard earned money on Ably.

Sushi chef David is back! The asian food here is as good as Ive had just about anywhere and Ive been around. The depth of flavors in the Thai dishes especially is just wonderful. Fresh, aromatic and very authentic. I also know from someone that works there that their standards are very high. All food is super fresh and the kitchen is squeeky clean. Jasper is very lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber. Oh, ignor the negative reviews. They just cant be real. Ive eaten at Ably 30+ times and only a couple times was the food less than fantastic. Even then it was still the best asian in Jasper. My suggestion is to try the Thai or Chefs special dishes. Enjoy!

Just moving to Jasper, Ga. , we read reviews of Ably Asian Restaurant, and couldnt wait to try it. My wife and I went for lunch, our expectations high after reading reviews, unfortunately we were both disappointed, while Lisa gave her egg drop soup a fine review, my hot and sour was O.K. at best, but very disappointing. Lisa got Masaman Curry chicken and I got Spicy Basil Chicken, two of our favorites, the chicken in both tasted strange, the vegetables were undercooked, and the sauce left much to be desired, we were very disappointed, on the flip side the service was quite good, but be advised this is far from great. I will give their sushi a try though.

We ordered takeout from Ably last night. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and my wife ordered a California roll for herself and sesame chicken for our kids. About a hour later my stomach was hurting but I thought it was possibly a coincidence. We went to bed and about 2a.m. my wife woke up puking and about 4a.m. I woke up with a horrible stomach ache. Luckily my kids are fine. I will never go back. 1st time weve ever had food poisoning.

I am so happy that I can drive 20 minutes to Jasper and order sushi that surpasses the sushi I would get within an hour and a half in any other direction. The service is genuine and friendly. The food is flavorful and there is a plentiful selection of dishes, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. My favorite is the sushi. Ive bee visiting this restaurant for five years and have never been disappointed.

People like Lynn who wrote the review below are people who are never pleased with anything and think that 5 star restaurants are rampant across the country. Please dont let people like that make your decision for you. I have eaten at Ably for several years and the food is great and the people are wonderful. It would be a great choice if you are in Jasper.

Everything we ordered was amazing! Hot and Sour soup is a must! The sushi is very fresh and I ordered Panang Curry and it was of the better ones I have ever ordered. We finished lunch with Green Tea ice cream. The staff was great and we didnt wait long at all for our food. We will definitely be back.

Always delicious always a kind and patient staff and we are always satisfied. The fresh rolls and the tuna tar-tar are my favorite things on the menu while my husband always wants to try something new. Never disappointed - plus they serve Thai tea.

Ive been eating at Ablys for a long time. Their hot and sour soup is simply amazing. They have great service and a friendly staff. If I could somehow give them a higher rating I would, because they have never failed me.

The cooks use my favorite herb, Thai basil. The menu offers dishes you dont find at all the strip mall Chinese restaurants. I am a vegetarian and always have trouble deciding what to order; so much to choose from

How is this lovely, upscale restaurant located in the Jasper mountains in a strip mall??? Dont let its looks stop you from eating here! Service is flawless and the food is consistently perfect! Sushi is fabulous!
