I just moved to the area and was looking for a go to Jamaican restaurant. Im Jamaican and an avid cook and have a pretty high standard in terms of authenticity, freshness, and flavor. I tried a few Jamaican restaurants in the area and was bitterly disappointed by how bland the food was. This restaurant, however, did NOT disappoint. I approached them will low expectations, but praying that I would not be disappointed, yet again. I got the sampler which is a little of everything for $20. It includes jerk ribs, jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, jerk wings, rice and peas, and cabbage. Let me tell you: every single item on my plate was delicious. They were all well seasoned and balanced. I paid particular attention to the oxtails because most restaurants just throw on some salt and browning on the oxtails and call it a day. With these guys, you can tell they used various spices and a tomato base to give the it depth. And the rice and peas. You can taste that they go all out and use coconut milk which gives it such a nice flavor. Ive definitely found my go to Jamaican joint. The customer service was great. The food was great. My only complaint is that the food was closer to luke warm than hot. Ill excuse them this one time, though, because I ordered less than an hour before closing and were probably preparing for closure. So, I highly recommend this restaurant based on this first visit.

Its the craziest thing! I have lived in this area since 2002 and have passed this place at least a thousand times or more, (no exaggeration) and I have NEVER stopped, but always wondered about it...until one day I mentioned to someone that I wanted Jamaican food and was on my way 50 mins away, to Stone Mtn to this little place I knew about that has pretty good Jamaican food and delicious wings. Then out of the blue they asked if we knew about Scotch Bonnet on Campbellton Rd (which btw is much closer). I told them that I had passed there numerous times but never stopped because I thought it was either hit or miss. They insisted that I give it try and went on raving about how good the food is there. Now after reading all these comments, I definitely have to give it a chance. I just know Im going to be hooked. I cant wait to try it! Ill be back soon to write about my experience! Thanks everyone!

Maaaaannn! The food here is GREAT. An appointment was delayed and I found this spot for lunch. Sat at a bench under the port outdoors to wait and eat. All I needed was an ocean and some sand. Friendly staff gave me a sample of the Jerked Ribs....OMG...YEP! THATS WHAT I WANT!!! and gave me updates on the ribs that were cooking fresh...no problem I had time and it did not take too long. I received a huge plate--- definitely got my moneys worth! Hot and tasty. Couldnt finish it all and ordered 1/2 chicken to take home and shared that and the rest with the family. I will be back even if I have to drive totally across town. I encourage anyone that loves good Jamaican food ---give this spot a try.

Very disappointed! I ordered the grilled jerk sausag on a bun. For starters i specifically went out of my way to have the guy taking my order ensure that the sausage was indeed grilled. So as i stood there for over fifteen minutes smelling that awesome meat on the grill i just knew my sausage was going to be delicious...imagine my surprise when i get in the car open my bag and i have this nasty $6.50 BOILED sausage! Irritated i went back to the counter and asked if i could have a sausage that was grilled he then looked at me and said "it was" which of course was a flat out lie. I decided not to argue but instead leave a review and never return. They have lost a customer for life.

Food is good but watch out for this OLD MIDGET MAN behind the counter. There is an old man short with an ugly face working behind the counter. I dont know what is issues are but hes rude and has no sense of costumer service. I bet he does not own any of the restaurant and surely dont wanna be there. So he transfers his unhappy sorry old behind on customers and rudeness. But the young guys working there and driving the trucks are cool tho. I want to eat but respect is everything, besides there are plenty of Jamaican restaurants around town. I sincerely would not go back there if that old man still working there.

Scotch Bonnet is a good place to pick up a great Jamaican food when youre either on the go or on your way home. Operating from an old hitch trailer, painted in the traditional yellow and green Jamaican national flag colors, SB serves up great authentic Jamaican dishes. With generous portions ranging from traditional jerk chicken, Curried Goat to Red Snapper (prepared upon order- call ahead), this popular drive by restaurant serves very tasty meals thatll keep you coming back for more. Be sure to put this place on your places to eat. Its truly worth it.

When I tell you I was shocked, I was literally shocked. Ive been going to another Jamaican eatery for a while; twice a week to be exact and this is now my new spot. The Jerk flavor was out of this world and the cabbage compliments it very well. As I sat and ate, the owner very kindly walked around and thanked everyone for coming in to dine individually and gave out hearty samples of chopped BBQ Jerk chicken. Not only was he gracious, but he was very personable. I will definitely be back.

After spending months looking for a good Caribbean restaurant. I finally found a true diamond this place is awesome. Lets start with the menu whatever your in the mood for they offer it and the portions are huge. I tried jerk ribs...yes jerk ribs, jerk chicken and oxs tails. Every plate comes with rice peas, cabbage. They also give samples if you asks this place is the bomb. If your in the Atl area please stop and grab a bit.

I have been a patron for 3 years. Lately the food has been terrible! I thought maybe this was a one time thing. Had takeout there yesterday! The oxtails were hard, tough and tasted like it was soak in lighter fluid! The rice and peas tasted like it was out of a box! My sister called the manager to complain. He was rude, mean and obnoxious! He declined to give his name! Truly bad customer service!! Will not return!

Very rustic. The smell of the food and the woods fire grill took me back to Jamaica. I had the curry host and a beef patty. The curry had a good kick to it but not overwhelming (non spice lovers may disagree, though). Very solid. The patty was good but could have been a little fresher. My wife had the ox tail. That was also very solid. The portions for both were very generous. This is my new go to place for Jamaican food!

The worst Jamaican food Ive ever eaten. They need to remove the Jamaican sign and shut that gut truck down. The curry goat and oxtail combo I purchased was awful. It was not tender or appeared to be cooked through and the rice and peas was soggy. I couldnt not eat any more than 1 bite. It was raining so hard that I couldnt bring it back and demand a full refund! Never again would I eat there! Its a no from me!
