My loved one and I went here last night (Friday) and had an AMAZING first experience. I always passed this place on my way home and upon learning that it was a restaurant, I had always thought about eating there. So for date night, I decided that we should come here to eat. I made an online reservation about two weeks prior to the date we wanted to go for which was 7 PM on a Friday evening. On the day we were planning to go, I received a courtesy call around 5 PM to confirm that we were still going to make our reservation that night, which I thought was nice. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly by the hostess and given menus. Since it wasnt too full at the time, the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, (we chose inside as it was kind of humid out) and she let us pick which table we preferred to sit at. Our waitress, Courtney, arrived less than two minutes later and talked to us about the menu and got our drink order. She arrived with our drinks a few minutes later and took our order. I ordered the graft burger and my SO ordered the steak with mashed potatoes, and greens. We didnt experience the long wait times everyone has been complaining about when it came to getting our food. I was actually expecting to wait a lot longer than we did and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly the food came out, looking and smelling delicious and still feeling really, really hot. The food was EXCELLENT! The graft burger came with pimento cheese and sliced jalapenos with a side of delicious crispy fries. My SO ordered his steak well-done and received just that. The steak was nice and tender, the garlic mashed potatoes were super soft and the greens (kale, string beans, and asparagus) as well as the sliced mushrooms were cooked to perfection. And the plate came with small pieces of apples thrown in there too, which we thought might ruin the taste, but it actually mixed in perfectly with everything else. Our waitress, Courtney, was very friendly and came to check on us often to make sure everything was okay. And the atmosphere was very dark and cozy which I personally loved. I read a review on here that said that minorities were not treated as nicely as others. Thats not true. My SO and I are not Caucasian and we were treated very, very nicely with plenty of smiles and friendly conversation from everyone who worked there. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back to enjoy some more of their delicious menu!

Farm fresh, local, thoughtful, deliberate selections in the upper-middle price range. |||||||||| Staff: Typical wait staff. Nothing that I would consider amazing but certainly friendly. The manager came over and checked on the food and was genuinely interested in our thoughts. I did not have the pleasure of meeting the owner (was hosting a farm dinner...super cool concept) but I will make a point to next visit. |||||||||| Service: The service was a little slower than expected; however, it was not a concern. You almost expect something of this caliber to be a little slower than normal. We chalked it up to a little extra care in what they are doing and continued our conversation. |||||||||| Portions: Reasonable portion sizes that seem to be geared toward a 3-course meal (app/main/desert). If you want to get full on a $10 main course then this is probably not the place for you. |||||||||| Food: One word I love to use to describe this food is deliberate. Every flavor is there for a reason. There is passion and thoughtfulness behind what is put on the plate. You can taste the difference that farm to table makes and it is certainly worth the extra little bit you pay for it. |||||||||| Drinks: Typical bar staples with some upper end liquors and beers. The wine selection was nice with some rare finds for OTP location. Their specialty seems to be whiskey which they have a rather extensive selection of ranging from your more traditional bar staples to some very rare bottles (ex: "Pappy" Van Winkles Family Reserve, 20yr). I talked to the bartender and he said that they are constantly trying to rotate in new, different, selections. |||||||||| Price point: We went with 4 people. The ladies split a bottle of wine and us gentlemen had a cocktail. We split 2 appetizers, each got a main course, and split 2 deserts. Price tag was $180 before tip. (approximate $10 app / $20 main / $10 desert - plus/minus $2-$4). |||||||||| Overall I was amazed at this place and will certainly be returning. They rotate their menu relatively often so it is very possible to go two times and see a completely different range of selections. A++ from this guy (and Im a fat guy so you can trust me).

I eat out and when I do its generally a nice place because I can appreciate paying good money for a good meal. This place is a complete waste of your money do not waste your money nor your time. Arrived just after 6:30 never saw waitress till 650, the hostess attempted to try to help with the drink order but had no knowledge of the beer selection. Finally the waitress showed up and we were able to place our drink order in addition to an appetizer order which included local salad with strawberries, proceeded to wait 30 minutes for a salad when it showed it was literally hot and extremely salty. Upon returning it and receiving another one 15 minutes later we laughed at the menus description of strawberries in the salad when you literally get one strawberry the size of a dime, there goes $11. He ordered the hanger steak($22) I ordered the roasted chicken($20) the hanger steak was supposed to be cooked medium it was well done and tasted like its been boiled so tough. My roasted chicken was literally a drum and thigh... but for some reason the lady next to me got the same meal and got a breast... I cannot believe I paid $20 for a leg and thigh. The potatoes that accompanied my meal tasted like they had been sitting in a hot window for at least 2 hours they were so hard I couldnt even chew them. We were asked on several occasions by waitresses if our meal was okay and we responded its fine we just want to go, there was no attempt from the manager to rectify the situation when it was clear we were very disappointed, we returned the salad and we clearly didnt eat our meals, in addition we spent over two hours in the restaurant waiting for meals and service. Maybe I would have been okay with it if my meal for two people that included two meals a salad one beer and one wine wasnt $75.. this place is a waste of your time as well as your money do not go here you will walk out disappointed and feeling slightly robbed. Being a resident of Grayson I would drive out of Grayson to go to a better restaurant its not worth it, spend an extra 5 minutes of your life to drive to a better restaurant. Oh and finally what is with all the Flies everywhere its literally disgusting!!!

Service - 4 Star Ambience - 4 Star Food - 2 Star Drinks 2 Star Overall - 2 stars We had driven past this joint a few times and had talked about trying it, but somehow always forgot about it when it came time to make a choice for dinner. This past Friday we remembered and after doing some research found out that we were able to call-ahead and make reservations; which we were pretty stoked about since it was fairly last minute. After reading some reviews on here we were a bit hesitant since they seemed to be fairly mixed, but none-the-less, farm-to-table is typically a good experience. Upon arriving, we quickly found a parking spot, were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. Our server notified us that they were celebrating their five year anniversary on this night so they would have complimentary appetizers and champagne next to the bar. We tried some of the dip and bread that they had which was very good ... unfortunately, that was the high point. We both ordered a drink, I got a beer and my girlfriend a mixed bourbon drink. Both came out in a reasonable amount of time, however my girlfriends glass was only half full - which wouldve been ok for a straight bourbon, but not a mixed drink. She also complained to me that it tasted like Nyquil; I tried it and had to agree ... my beer was ok. No, she did not send it back or complain to the waiter. We ordered the salmon appetizer (which was dry) with honey, and some various other toppings; the taste was very sporadic. It seemed that you never really knew what the bite was going to entail, and in this case, that wasnt in a good sense. For the entrees, my girlfriend ordered a lobster roll and I got the ribs. The lobster roll was extremely bland which was rather disappointing and the ribs were very overdone - burnt in some areas, dry overall. Unsure if well return, if we were to go solely upon this past visit ... no. If our decision was based upon some of the review on here, it would be a coin toss.
