] grew up at the big Varsity in Atlanta. My parents dated there before they married in 1948. I was born a year later and we ate at the Varsity at least once a month until I left the area in 1974. They are famous for their Frosted Orange drink, pimiento cheeseburgers (you must ask for pimiento cheese), chili dogs, French fries, delicious fried onion rings, and fried peach pie! The fried peach pie is frozen, dropped in grease to cook, not quite as yummy as the old days, but still worth the price of admission! We ate there Thursday and I honestly thought Id died and gone to heaven. . .

Myself and my family go to the varsity quite frequent. we stopped in today at the one on 400 in Dawsonville an ordered 4 large frosted orange. We paid for a large and I asked a boy why are you giving me a medium Cup. He replied this is the only way we serve it this is a large. Ill look on their website 319 is for a large and this is 2nd time this happened I guess that is one way to raise the profits we will not be returning to that store again

Worst food Ive had in a long time the quality of hot dogs and burgers suck, the chili is dry and bland the onion rings are a greasy mess the fries were ok I guess. Yuk dont waste your money. I wish Tommys Burgers would come out here.

Clean, red black ugly georgia colors ( per the tennessee fan). No food older than 24 hours. Service was good, no ebonics, just broken english. However, with Fox Mews showing on the tv while I eat, just went from four stars to five.

The hot dogs are to die for. We come here every time we are back in Dawsonville. While its great to hit up the original Varsity, this allows you to get the same good food without the business of the original.
