DONT EAT AT THE RED ROBIN NEWNAN LOCATION! (IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE) My wife and I had wanted some place to go on Saturday. We had been wanting to try Red Robin and decided to make the drive (32.5mi), from Hampton, Georgia. The hostess was polite, as well as the server. But things went wrong when I started observing the kitchen staff. I am a BBQ restaurant owner and sanitation is something that is apart of training. I have spend 30 plus years in the restaurant industry as a manager and now an owner of a restaurant and I would never allow what was being allowed by your managment staff. Food was being prepared with BARE HANDS!! I kept looking because I saw only one or two using gloves, but the rest of the kitchen staff had no gloves on. I alerted the manager who was expediting that I just saw one of your kitchen staff pick up bacon with his bare hands and place on a sandwich and the other staff picking up food and preparing food, no gloves! I called him over to my table and said, " We came to try Red Robin, but would leave without a scene because you have staff working in the kitchen preparing food without gloves and sharing the same towels to wipe their bare hands!" He did address it immediately but I still saw things that made my wife and I very uncomfortable. One gentleman working the fry station did put on gloves after my complaint but yet wiped sweat from his face with his T-Shirt. Then I saw a guy sweep the fry line and only change his gloves, probably without washing his hands. I saw all of this from where my wife and I sat. If it were a Subway they would have at the very least rewashed their hands before putting on new gloves. I drove past several restaurants to get that type of experience. I can assure you that if I am ever in the Newnan area and need to get a meal, I will not go to Red Robin. I looked around for the Food Service inspection. Well guess what... It was not displayed properly. It had something else sitting in front of it. (wonder why?) Let me guess, maybe the score might have frightened your other guest. There are several things that I look for when I go to a restaurant. The food safety score is what I look for and I always check the restrooms. Those two things usually tell me the rest of the story about a restaurant. However I still wanted to give Red Robin a chance, but I should have left when I first saw the Bare handed food preparation. That is a way to insure that someone will get sick or die. I am amazed that the expeditor did not fix that long before I said anything.

Living in Canton, the drive to this location was 45 minutes. Im very active, into weight lifting and watch what I eat, but every 2 weeks I get my cheat meal. I was literally looking forward to eating Red Robin for 2 weeks. I love Red Robin and know what the food *SHOULD* taste like. From start to finish, it took an hour and a half... For starters, nobody took our meal order until we had already been there for 30 minutes. Then they brought my sons food out 15 minutes before mine. When I finally received my order, my boys had finished their plates. My burger was cold, like the bun felt like it had been in a fridge. There was no BBQ sauce on it, and the cheese wasnt melted anymore because it had been sitting so long. I was so disappointed in this meal I had been looking forward to so long as a reward to myself. I took one bite and put it down. If I was gonna blow all those calories, it wasnt going to be on that burger. Not worth it. The manager could obviously tell something was wrong and came over. I expressed politely what the problems were. She was very apologetic, sent my order back to have it remade, and discounted my bill due to how much of a headache it was. By the time I got my fresh order, I wasnt even hungry anymore after snacking on fries, my kids were climbing up the wall, and I was just plain irritated. I allow myself one cheat meal, not a cheat day. Whatever I dont finish when I sit down at the table for said cheat meal, I dont eat the leftovers. So my kids are just going to eat my burger for dinner. Completely dissapointed in this location and will never be back.

Had the pretzel bites as an appetizer and was beyond disappointed. The bites didnt taste like dough but dense cornmeal or something similar. We asked them to take it back and the waiter was very kind in the fact she took it off our check. However we continued to order our burger with fries which also turned out to be disappointing. The fries came out cold and soggy. Again customer service was great and she had them bring out fresh fries that were warm. Food service very low and not worth the meal. Although customer service was wonderful server wise I am still not sure I will be coming back.

I dealt with the up and down food safety score. Ive dealt with turn over from great wait staff to now. Ive dealt with subtle menu changes. My food wrong. My food with paper cooked in it. Yet, every few months I try again Mind you I used to be a weekly regular. The last couple of years though. Tonight just tore it. Still on the menu was a patty melt. They usually have pretty good ones. I was informed that they no longer make these. Still on the menu. So we canceled the rest of the order and left. This place just cant seem to get it back together. Sad it was really good a few years ago.

The first time I came to this location the service was slow and the staff totally unprofessional. The food was overcooked and I got a plate of ribs that resembled lumps of charcoal, I pointed it out and they didnt charge me for them so I let it go. The next time we were in the area we decided to give them one more try. We went in and no one was at the front to seat us and several employees observed us waiting and didnt even acknowledge we existed. The sad thing was they were not even busy. We left. Worst restaurant I have ever been in and will never go back.

They have great burgers here! I LOVE the Whiskey River BBQ burger. Its my favorite on the menu! And their special seasoning that they have on the table goes great on the endless fries! Although I have never had one, but they do offer shakes and desserts here as well. Its a fun atmosphere, they even have a bar area for adults. The rest of the dining area is family friendly. And from time to time I believe they still have the Red Robin mascot come out and visit the kids (but dont quote me on that). All and all its a good place to get good burgers.

When I saw the sign in front of the soon to open Red Robin at the Avenue of Forsyth, I thought, "Thank You, one of my Favorite places has resurrected from the dead!" All I can say is wheres the Red Robin I grew up with? This place has turned into a low rent kiddie Circus; I dont know if theyre trying to mimic a Northeastern Greek Diner, a Chuckie Cheese, or a Sonic with indoor service! All I know is that the food has become mediocre yet demanding a premium price; NOT a combo worth returning to! I miss the Red Robin of years ago!
