I tried last night and today to call in a carry out order to my local Olive Garden here in Athens, Ga.. Both times I was put on hold and forgotten. I decided today to go in and order the carry out in person just to see what was up. After I placed my order, I waiting for it to come out. During that time, two people called the carry out line and were placed on hold. The phone was never picked back up. The callers eventually got frustrated waiting and just hung up. And, by the way, there were workers behind the counter whee the phone line was blinking. They were NOT busy. They never even bothered to look at the phone. Also, the person who put the callers on hold was also just walking around and talking with co-workers behind the counter and never picked the phone back up. They just ignored two customers. That was just in the 20 minutes that I was there.Thats 6 customers an hour on average. How much money is that? Not to mention " word of mouth "damage. Way to go Olive Garden.

Olive Garden has gone down hill since last I ate here. My sister, son and I had lunch here this week and both of our entrees were just awful. The pasta and sauce tasted like a frozen meal and came with hardly any meat on it. For a $12 lunch entree I would expect a fair portion of meat!! Our food took forever to come out, so long that we asked for to go boxes right when the food came because my toddler had been sitting for so long he was so ready to go. The waiter tried to up sell us multiple times, including trying to get my sister to order some cocktail special they had (shes pregnant! And it was noon!). Lastly, they have you pay on a tablet now, and after they run your card they hand the tablet to you so that you can add a tip. Our waiter was pushy and had already slid the arrow to the 20% mark! Guess he assumed Id leave him that much, nope, I slid the arrow down to 15% and I wont be dining here again!

We have eaten here several times before and usually limit our visits to the summer time to be able to eat outside. The restaurant is kept as cold as the HVAC system will operate. Extremely unpleasant to have to deal with a blast of cold air that always chills the food before it can be eaten. This time we decided to try in cold weather thinking they must have heat on. We asked the greeter to please seat us at a warm table w/o cold A/C. She said no problem saying the temperature was always to cold. She seated us beside the fireplace. Sadly the fire was show only no heat at all and the cold A/C was on full blast. We waited for a server and after a few minutes we decided not again we got up and left. No one even noticed. Food and service is usually fairly good but until they learn that a warm atmosphear is a plus for their business we will avoid this store.

We gave our name and was told it was a 40 minute wait. When it went off, we went inside and were directed around the corner. We waited again and a woman approached, called someone elses name and walked past us to go outside to retrieve another guest. She took them back and we watched her check in with some other seated patrons. She came towards us, picked up three sets of silverware and menus and again walked past us without a word or any acknowledgement to us, calling someone elses name and went outside to gather other guests. It looked like they were having to use a two-stage waiting system. Wait outside for 20 or 30 minutes and then Ill call you inside so You can wait some more. No thanks... We returned our pager and walked next door to Logans. A shorter wait, and we actually got seated!

Have been there 3 times. Wait staff is friendly, but not always effective. Last night, we patiently waited for 30 minutes to get a table, no issues there. But after we were seated, we went 10 minutes with no wait staff interaction (no "hello, Ill be with you in just a sec", no drink order taken). I used the tablet to call for a waiter (red blinking light), but that was ignored by all wait staff. I eventually called the restaurant from my cell phone, and told the To-Go attendant what happened. She came by and apologized, said a manager would be with us (never showed up), and she ended up being our server for the rest of the evening, despite the fact that it wasnt her job, and did a great job. The food was what we expected, and we were given free dessert.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. For the price I paid it was a disgrace to Italian cooking. The bread sticks taste like extremely salted and parmasean seasoned pretzels. The salad was bland, full of stalk parts of lettuce, and soggy tomatoes. The gnocchi soup was horrendous it tasted like flavored tap water. The pasta with red meat sauce was ok. The sauce was good, but the spaghetti was not fresh. Speaking of fresh, the chicken parmigiana was obviously not cooked to order it had to have been sitting in the kitchen for an hour before it was served to me and kept warm during that time. Would not eat here again.

the service was pretty good. our waiter was nice but the restaurant was crowded for NYE and he was a little stretched out. He was good with the kids and our orders came out correct. the kids servings were a h pod size but I would have liked to see at least twice as many grapes for the sides. there were maybe 8 grapes on each plate. my husbands and my orders were good but the 5 cheese sauce was not as flavorful as last time, almost bland. the sangria was amazing and delicious. this is my second time at this location so Im sure the demerits were just because of NYE dinner crowd. Ill be back.

First time I visited this particular Olive Garden, the food was horrible and I said no more! The staff was wonderful but the food was horrendous. My child has fond memories of other Olive Garden restaurants and really wanted to go to Olive Garden so I took a chance. There was actually a hair in my food and the salad was wilted! Once again staff was nice, but I will NEVER go to THIS Olive Garden again. Closest to me but Id rather travel to get good FOOD and good service.

Our server was Matt. We had a great time. Service was wonderful. Food was perfect for all of us. Everything was served and order just as expected. On time. Hot to eat. Salad wasnt soggy or drenched with dressing. Bread sticks were not their best but in some ways that was good for us because we didnt fill up on bread before entrees came out. Actually everytime we have been to this location everything has always been great. Highly recommend this location.

Wait staff was horrible. Food took over an hour to come out while the salad and breadsticks had to be asked for three times before they were actually brought out. There was a hair on my salad plate that wasnt mine or anyone elses in my party. Manager was less than effective when her assistance was asked for. Honest opinion? Avoid this restaurant like the damn plague.
