Sorely disappointed. My boyfriend and I ate there a few weeks ago and the beer was great and we both ordered hamburgers and they tasted great at the time. We had a horrible waitress, but were willing to overlook it because other waitresses began to take care of us. However, a few hours later we were both struck with food poisoning. For 10 miserable hours I got to relive that hamburger and sweet potato fries. I was so sick that I had to go to urgent care once they opened. I continued to throw up for two days. I called the restaurant a few days after we ate there just to let them know that we had gotten sick from the burgers and never asked for our money back, just simply letting them know so that they could look at their preparation techniques so that other customers would not experience the same thing. I spoke with the manager and he began questioning me that I had gotten sick from their food and thought that it was absolutely absurd that I was even saying that their food had caused it. I doubt that my call went further than him so beware when eating there because there is no way that they have changed a thing. Needless to say, we will never be eating there again.

Ive lived in Athens for over 20 years now, so being a "native" i really wanted to like the place last night but i just cant bring myself to do it. First off, dont sit at the bar and expect great service for dinner. 5 minutes went by before I was even greeted. Started with the Scotch Ale. Not bad. Finally got around to ordering the Bison Burger. Not very flavorful, and the bun was way to thick for the patty and quite dry. Heres the thing that irritated me the most. After finishing, 15 minutes went by before the bartender even got around to asking me if I was ready for the check, end even then i had to flag her down. Im sitting there, with a finished plate in front of me for 15 minutes and cant even get a look my way? I asked for one of the Blonde Ales and my check. 5 minutes later she came back with them both, apologizing for the slowness. According to her theyre still on dial up, but that didnt stop the 6 other people at the bar from getting their tabs before me. Sorry, i want to like the place but the food and beer is average at best and the service just flat blows, and I like to think Im easy to please.

Nice service and cheap beer on pint night (tuesday) are the only redeeming qualities. When I first walked in I was assaulted with the smell of warm summer piss and garbage. Got a flight to sample all 4 of their beers. The flight glass rack smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in months. Im not sure if someone was trying to be clever and serve the beer not as cold as the typical American bar, but if your going to play the temperature game, the Stout and the IPA should not be the same temp. Out of the 4 beers I sampled I would only drink the IPA again. I didnt order food but I sampled some appetizers on my table. Disappointing to say the least. Nothing fresh looking or tasting about it. I heard whispers of new management? If thats the case theres a lot of work to do.

We loved Copper Creek! The service was great- our server took care of us, the kitchen staff informed our vegan needs, and another person (maybe the manager) stopped by our table to check in on everything. We drank the Scottish ale and several others, and loved the beers. We ate the buffalo potato chips with malt vinegar, the hummus appetizer special, a gigantic salad with extra vegetables added, and the pita pizza... everything was so delicious and ample. We werent even planning to eat at Copper Creek, but the appetizers were so good that we ended up eating a ton! We were just passing through for a couple days, and Copper Creek was our favorite stop in Athens!

Girl Scout Cookie shots should taste like a creamy thin mint shot, and for the past three times I have been to Copper Creek, they have tasted like skim milk with a hint of mint flavoring. Some might ask, "What should I expect from a $1 shot?" I expect the same shot every single time, since it is pre mixed. And I have been getting that shot for the past 2 and a half years. We have even asked the bartenders on multiple occassions to mix it up for us, and we will surely pay them accordingly... but it seems they are always out of supplies to make it. Its a shame... Copper Creek use to be my favorite bar in Athens... guess Ill be going to Walkers more often now.

My first impression of the place was not the best. It had a foul odor upon entering, but realizing it was a brewery I dismissed this as a smell from the brewing process. We went as a family and the atmosphere was appropriate for our age group (20+ year olds and parents). We ordered Buffalo Blue Cheese chips and we liked them so much we ordered another one. I personally loved the pub grilled chicken that I ordered. And the Hellas And Steam Beers were great. The rest of the food we ordered was great as well. I recommend this place. 4/5 because it was a great place, but didnt do anything above and beyond.

As a long-time Athens resident, I am proud to be a Tuesday regular at Copper Creek. Though their beer is mostly hit, they are not afraid to take risks and miss every once in a while on an adventurous interpretation of an IPA or ESB. My experience with the food is somewhat limited to their veggie burger which is passable considering the price and the amazing restaurants just doors down. The long-time servers here are just phenomenal and become quick friends with their patrons. I am a little miffed they raised prices by .50 from a criminally affordable $3 per draft but hey, its still worth it.

Atmosphere is good. From the copper pennied bar top to the mood induced low lighting. We enjoy craft beer and they usually have a small selection of 3 to 5 in house brews but seem challenged on boldness. The foods are southern staples and they are presented well. Country fried chicken is tops IMO but I hear the shrimp and grits are great too. Overall it feels like a place you would return to on the regular just because everything seems to keep you here. Service and wait times are very good as well. Cheers!

Both wait staff and management are rude and condescending. The wait staff will tell you that youll be charged one thing and then tack on extra charges when they bring the bill. Management doesnt care either, even after explaining that you were told youd be charged something different. This is the cap on a long string of rude service and subpar food. The beer isnt bad, but Creature Comforts and Terrapin are better and the staff there actually care about their customers!

Place was dead at 6pm on Sunday but we had a very friendly waitress that was a lot of help. Went there for the Belgian Dip sandwich but they were out. Tried their pumpkin ale and it was much better than expected. Bison burger with mushroom and jalapeno was good and chicken tenders were delicious and perfectly fried. Fries were great and dipping sauce had amazing flavor. Too pricey for such small portions but good quality food and cool atmosphere.
