If youre interested in excellent beer choices, outstanding pub fare, and fantastic service, look no further. The beer list is a great size, lots of variety with a great sampling of local and imports. There is also full bar service. The food is excellent. My son had the burger with chips. I had the Bangers and Mash with turmeric cabbage, we shared orders of House chips, and Carrots & Parsnips (with curry ketchup). The banger and mash was very good, sausages were cooked very nicely, the turmeric cabbage was good, the Mash was too thin for my liking. The Carrot & Parsnip chips were outstanding and the curry ketchup perfect. Reasonable pricing as we both had pints. The service was exceptional time from order to table was great and they were busy when we first arrived. Enjoyable place. While small it feels really "pubby".

Quaint and a proper public house. This place is a YES Parking wasnt too much of a hassle. Seat yourself, we chose outside. Theres no smoking allowed outside near the seating, thankfully. The menu is small but worthy. We had the fish (Atlantic cod) and chips, grilled (fontina) cheese and chips, and the toffee custard. Everything was quality and very good. The grilled cheese is actually two sandwiches, though if already eaten one before I snapped a photo. It comes with a sauce that tastes like a bowl of chili. Really complementary. The dessert was phenomenal. The toffee custard was topped with vanilla gelato, caramel drizzle, and chocolate flakes. Price per person app $11-13 with drink. Service was fast, thorough, and organized. We really enjoyed the experience! Recommended!

"The Royal Snobs" we were a group of 5, very diverse, that wanted to watch the world cup inauguration. we had called and were told that they were going to show it. we got there and had to beg to get the channel changed which was showing golf. Then, they wouldnt put the volume up because the only channel showing the ceremony was not an english speaking channel. the waitress was rude, she literally threw our menus on the table and was very antagonistic. The food was good and the atmosphere got better thanks to the rest of the people that went to watch the game. my recommendation: go somewhere else first and leave the Royal Snobs as your last resort.

This place lives up to its name: its a laid-back, cozy British pub in the heart of the vibrant Five Points neighborhood of Athens. The service is prompt and the drinks are delicious. I do wish there were more vegetarian-friendly options, but perhaps thats not the British pub way. :) I opened a business in Five Points a few weeks ago and the Royal Peasant staff was so excited and encouraging. They even brought us free lunch one day--turns out fellow small business owners totally know how easy it is to overwork and forget to eat.

Rude Bartender Last night. Hey, heres a TIP. Rude brunette woman who was working the bar 1-9-16 at night. If you want a TIP drop the attitude and serve the patrons. Remember your job is to Serve the customer. Your a server so serve. We took our business elsewhere. We wont be back. P.S. We know your owner. I am sure he will be pleased to hear about our negative interaction with and your putrid serving ability. Thanks again for your poor service and weak attitude.

I have been going there for a year and was told this most recent time that I had not been tipping enough. my parents are from Europe, I was raised to think 10% was enough. The waitress I had been paying for a year came over and informed me that the restaurant owner wanted her to "tell me" that we were not appreciating the staff "enough". in the last year I have spent approximately 1500.00 in this establishment. I will not go back.

The service is great! The atmosphere is great! I had bangers and mash with my buddy. My friend had the patine. It was good decent sized meal. The service is great to a point of giving suggestions of what to eat or what should we drink depending on what we are looking for. Overall, very cool, chill place. A plate usually costs around $9 and the drink are usually around $4, which is really not that bad. :)

Love this place!! Great food!! Love the quaint atmosphere. I recommend the royale burger! My only complaint: one of their waitresses has such an insincere demeanor while serving you kinda brings down the customer service. I wouldnt tip her too much. Ive been served by her almost everytime Ive been there and have never enjoy her disingenuous attitude. But still really good food!

The Royal Peasant has been a favorite of mine for years. This is a great spot in Five Points to drop in and have a pint with friends. The food here is also great - I highly recommend their burgers and chips. If youre looking for the most authentic fish and chips in town, Royal Peasant also has you covered. When its not sweltering, the patio is really nice!

My son and I had a wonderful lunch there today. He had the bangers and mash and he said it was delicious. I had the fish and chips which was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Sorry I forgot her name. This is a wonderful pub and whenever I make it back to Athens Ga., I wil go there again. Thanks for the great service and delicious food.

The Royal is not a big place and for that reason almost always crowded and loud from patrons engaged in conversation. It is very popular to meet friends, have excellent beer and food including "fish and chips", variety of burgers, and todays specials. Two options... in door or outside seating. Highly recommended.

A small British-style pub, the Royal Peasant offers an appropriately limited menu of pub fare, many of which are interesting takes on traditional British pub fare. They have an excellent selection of draft brews. The service is friendly and prompt. The outdoor seating is heated! Highly recommended.

Little soccer-themed English-style pub with a canopied outdoor area in the heart of Five-Points. Killer pub food -- burgers and fish and chips. Great beer. Bike friendly. Ive dined at all the fancy places in Athens and this is still my favorite place to grab a bite to eat.

This is probably my favorite place in Athens. Great Eauropean style atmosphere and great authentic food. I eat here @ least once a month. The location allows for the interest in other places like Earthfare and Two Story Coffee. The bangers and mash is a favorite.

Its a great place to try if youre looking to break food boredom or just want to try something new. Great patio but slim on parking. Our waitress was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Enjoyed my time here and will be returning.

Loved the place from the get-go strictly for the soccer-themed décor. And then the food came - both types of curry I tried were exquisite, and our server was top-notch. Not too expensive either - well be back next time were in Athens.

Great venison stew. The fish and chips are good too. The main complaints are that parking is a problem, the merchants in the area do not like to share. Guess they havent heard of going several places in an area to conserve energy.

I had the fish and chips with an original sin hard cider. Everything including the service was excellent, this place is great, its one of the places I repeatedly go to and would absolutely recommend it to friends.
