Family and I went in search of ice cream and came upon Super Scoops. Son and I wanted ice cream; daughter decided she wanted a snow cone next door at “Snowballs”. We parked in the Super Scoops parking lot and son and I got our ice cream then proceeded next door to get daughter’s snow cone. As we were walking away a man came running after us and threatened to have our car towed. He stated that his parking lot was for HIS business only. I explained to him that we purchased ice cream from his shop and we were going next door to get daughter a snow cone then we would be returning to his business to eat together outside on the picnic tables. We went on to Snowballs and purchased a snow cone (which was VERY good. Not like a snow cone at all. The texture was just like a snowball!!) Near the cash register there were a sign warning people about the man “Monty” at Super Scoops stating not to park in his lot as he has been known to threaten and tow cars parked in his lot. Now I understand this policy, but come on… we were the ONLY car parked in the lot, we weren’t taking a parking space away from anyone else AND we had purchased ice cream and his business. When we returned to eat our treats on the outside picnic tables, he stared at us form the inside the entire time. What an unwelcome feeling, unlike the Very warm welcome we got at Snowballs. I will not be back. Poor customer service!!

This is beyond the most wonderful ice cream place! The owners are always so sweet and welcoming! Actually, my friends and I were rushing to go get super scoops before they closed and we got there 5 min before they closed and they were still accepting customers. About 10 min after they were supposed to be closed, Monty one of the owners came out and told us they are closed but if we need anything we can knock on the door. A few minutes after that a family walked up in what seemed to be not a very good attitude walked up and knocked on the door then walked away saying "this place sucks" needless to say they are wrong! Then, Monty opened the door and he lady asked if they were open and Monty replied "for you we are" and then they let the whole family order their ice cream anddddd it doesnt stop there another man walked up after Monty locked the door and they served him as well. If this isnt a top notch place I dont know what is!!

Found out that this place was one of TripAdvisors highest rated ice cream places in the US so had to give it a try. It is quite a small place, but they had a good selection of ice cream and also TONS of candy to choose from. My kids got one scoop in a cup and it was more like 2.5 scoops. So theyre very generous with their scoops. The one scoop on a sugar cone was also very generous, almost like 2. I got Moose Tracks and thought it was very tasty. The workers were very nice an smiling. They have seating outside in front and back of the building. They definitely have lines at times but think it is worth the wait. Id definitely recommend it and go back again when Im the area.

We stopped in here late evening with a real sweet tooth. I had a waffle cone bowl with a scoop of birthday cake, and a scoop of pistachio. We also picked up a root beer float, hot fudge sundae and some cool zots fizzy candy I havent had since I was a little kid. The woman behind the counter made everything quickly and was really friendly. We loved everything and will for sure be back!

Has many different flavors to choose from, the people who work there and own it are super friendly, and the location is very near the beach; what more could you want?! I had the apple pie special, that comes with a house-made apple tart, topped with a BIG scoop of ice cream (any flavor you want) plus some wonderful toppings. Loved it!

Best Ice Cream Around. Had ice cream there yesterday and it was so good we went back again today. Many very unusual and interesting flavors, way too many to try even in a few visits. A small cup of ice cream has 3 scoops and is only $3.30. Well worth it. They even make their own waffle cups. Dont miss this place.

Nice family run business that always gives you a bigger portion than you expect. Im not sure service can be friendlier without risking being creepy. This a great spot for working cow, soft serve and candies. Plenty of outdoor seating and within walking distance of the other restaurants I have reviewed.

We went there 3 of the 4 days we were on vacation in the Treasure Island area. Im a bodybuilder so eating ice cream is a treat. I allowed myself to splurge on this place. Super Scoops definitely has some of the best ice cream around. Nice people who run the place. Definitely would recommend trying.

Incredibly good!!!! You cant go wrong with the salted caramel ice cream, but everything Ive tried so far is also delicious. Waffle cones and bowls are made fresh while you wait and the friendliest service youll ever find. Definitely on our list of places to visit whenever were in Treasure Island.

Sorry, but unimpressed. While the folks working were quite nice and there was ample parking and seating, the ice cream had little to no flavor, at least the mint chocolate chip. My daughter had Superman ice cream which had zero flavor. The salted caramel was pretty good though.

The ice cream was amazing, the people were so nice and best of all they were very allergy friendly. Our daughter has a tree nut allergy and they keep one case completely nut free, as well as have other options like Italian ice. We will definitely be stopping in again! Loved it.

We had so much fun going there. Meeting the family thar runs the place, putting a pin in the world map where we are from, looking at all the quirky things in the tiny shack and yes good portions. The icecream was acceptable but the reason I want to go again is the atmosphere.

Im calling bs on the 1 star review. I think that person is delusional. He/she should seek help. This is one of my absolute favorite establishments on earth. Friendliest staff ever and best ice cream ever. They have an interesting candy selection too. Nothing better.

The service was absolutely incredible!!! The staff was so nice and patience. The ice cream was worth the amount and it was very kid friendly. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because the ice cream wasnt the best quality. Other then that..amazing experience

Great little ice cream shop. Best in St. Petersburg area. Fantastic ice cream and the nicest folks you would ever want to meet own/operate the place. Neat and clean. The perfect afternoon or evening spot to cool off during those hot and muggy Florida summer days.

This locally owned ice cream shop smells like a fresh baked cookie when you walk in. (Which means you are in the right place) Be prepared to split the delicious treats though! You get plenty for your money and only a short walk from Treasure Island Beach.

love there ice cream its the best, and a the owners are great , monty and daine go out of their way to be good to people. it hard to believe what kim said there are new people at the snowcone place and their are nice and there is no sign.
