So this place is genius. The premise isnt that different than any other small town ice cream place. They have some soft-serve ice cream machines and they offer are variety of treats like milkshakes and ice cream cones. (+1 for having crunch coating for cones!) What makes them stand out is how they combine the soft-serve ice cream with other ingredients to make a bunch of generously sized sundaes. Strawberry Shortcake sundae with real strawberries, cake, and whipped cream. Bananas Foster sundae with carmel, bananas, candied pecans, and whipped cream. Those are just two of the highlights from well over a dozen signature sundae combinations from which I have yet to find one I dont like. The biggest problem is if I can get through all of it without needing help or getting type II diabetes. The also have mixed treats (think Blizzard) with different add-ins, baby cones for the kiddies, and doggy ice cream with a treat for your four-legged friend. Parking can be a problem. They are a victim of their own success. But the line usually keeps moving and if the weather is nice, who cares. Seating is outdoor only. There is a small shelter with two tables and seating around the edge if you want to get out of the sun or the rain. Open from around Memorial day to Labor day, they signal the start and the end of summer. Stop by while you can and enjoy the best treats around.

This place has the friendliest owners and very generous portions. We moved from Pataskala and our local ice cream stop charges more and portions are smaller. The Dairy Hut also stays open longer than most. If there are customers they stay open, never been made to feel like we are keeping them from something. The owners also come out and greet their customers to make sure they are happy with their food. We live 45 min away but make a special trip for this ice cream place.

This place has been around longer than I can remember. It have become iconic in this quaint little town of Pataskala. Nothing like some Ice cold soft serve. They also have a great lunch menu. Part of the local Chamber, and the local Mayors favorite place to grab a bite. I personally recommend the Turtle or Buckeye Sundae and the shredded Chicken sandwiches.

Dairy Hut has the sweetest people that work there ever! All the girls are super nice and respectful. I think it is so nice that the owners are letting all the staff go to the street fair!! Treat employees right and they will work harder!! Way to go!!

Food and ice cream is good but at times the line is super long and I understand the classic small building but it would be great if they could expand the building to have more people purchase there food and get it at a faster rate
