This place is a home run, everything you could ask for, good drinks, live music, sushi, and pool. The only thing I found a bit off putting was a man that approached us while playing pool took my order for a drink and wasnt aware there was a special so the price was wrong even though Id ordered 2 while eating dinner with another waitress. I was drunk at the time and might not have caught it if I hadnt already payed for a couple earlier and it gave me the feeling he was trying to take advantage of my intoxicated state by overcharging me. I mean if hes new and the specials werent something he remembered thats fine but otherwise I was kind of annoyed by it since its a weekly special not anything new. Nonetheless Ill be back anytime Im looking for a good time! update: I believe consistency is key and the second time I went here was nothing at all like the first. My sushi was mediocre, the drinks were down right awful (all syrup no alcohol) and 4 of us had to share one pool stick. These trips were 4 months apart.

My girlfriends and I went here last weekend and had an awesome experience. We were dropped off in Soho by our uber and stumbled upon cheap. My girlfriend told the man at the front door that it was my birthday and before I could blink the general manager, i cant recall his name, totally welcomed us and made my night. We got a table immediately and shots for the whole group. There was 9 of us. He went above and beyond providing the table with appetizers and more drinks. Needless to say we had an amazing time and felt very loved. All the employees were super cool and the ambience was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to everybody. Go to Cheap!!

It started out bad, but got better. We were sat down and asked for drinks. We got them and the syrup was out on the Ginger Ale. We ended up getting Root Beers instead (we dont drink). Then, we sat FOREVER waiting to order. However, when she finally showed up, the service was great. Everything was prepared quickly. We both ordered the Bistro. It was not exactly what we expected, but ended up being OK. Granted, its known more as a bar, so Im not going to go berserk on the food. It was kinda loud, but once again...its a bar on Friday night, what do you expect. I liked the service after the initial wait. The food was decent, but was prepared very well.

Just a note to those who are thinking of buying their Groupon today...You will wait forever for a table and the service is not attentive. I purchased a daily deal for them months ago and tried three times to use it and wasnt able to due to the lack of service at the front and the lines. Also, there is no street parking but they have parking in the back for $10 which they will give you a coupon for 1 drink. The drinks are not worth $10! I was very frustrated and now I am sitting with a coupon for the value I paid for but probably wont be able to use it. Sorry, but I will pass on this Groupon knowing what I know now!

I have several reasons for why I will never return to Cheap. The first being the terrible management, starting with Denise. This woman couldnt manage to find her way out of a dry paper bag. Drunk with her own power she screams at the top of her lungs at the other bartenders from across the bar, while pounding shots. This woman should have never been put in the position of managing ANYTHING aside from a bottle of liquor. Nevertheless there was one highlight. One bartender, Lindsey, tried her best to make our experience pleasant, despite her embarrassment.

Ive always liked this place but tonight was very disappointing.....we dined and ordered food and drinks and all is asked for, was to play my favorite song, star boy. Idk if it was the dj or the manager on duty., but where is the customer service these days, its not like I asked for an outpdated song, and its not like people were dancing, which nobody was, its was a simple 2 min request. Will I recommend to all my girlfriends in Tampa for a place to grab a drink and request a song,?! After this experience, absolutely not....

Ive been several times to Cheap in SoHo, and its always been a great time. Food is consistently good, along with fresh made sangria, and good music. They have many offerings, from sushis to steak, I personally prefer their brick oven pizzas. Their menu caters to all tastes, from simple to finer dining, along with the prices too. They serve food late, till 2am or so. Great for a first date. Also at nights it gets a bit crowded and turns into a little more of a bar. Great fun, the girlfriend and best friend approve!

The trick to Cheap is to go when they have their specials...which is nearly all the time. The manager Brian really takes care of his customers and all of the male servers weve had, especially Spencer and Steven, were fantastic. Carlos is our favorite bartender- he really knows his stuff and is genuinely interested in the patrons of the bar. All around a fantastic experience- we are definite repeat customers!

I go to cheap once a month for the last two years. I have yet to have a bad meal. Food is always great. Stand out dishes for me are the sushi selection, wings, pizza and short ribs. Service is usually very good. Dont be suprised to see the owner there busing tables and workout his tail off with the staff. If u want to avoid the loud crowd and louder than normal music just make sure u go before 10.

I thought it was a pretty decent place. The sushi I ordered was great. Had the Volcano roll and it was the best volcano I have had in my lifetime. The parking was a little of an inconvenience since it is South Tampa but to their credit they do have a Valet Parking Company next to the restaurant at a $5 charge. Overall a pretty good experience

BE CAREFUL!! Somebody stole my bank card information and used it at this place!! Dont know how they were able to buy and pay for food 2x in the same night with out a debit card or credit card???? all i know is that i had my card physically with me at all times and i live in Orlando!! So go figure somebody must know somebody on the inside

Its a bit pricy but has an eclectic bar atmosphere. The bartenders and wait staff have always done an excellent job when Ive been there. Its a good place to go if youre not sure what youre in the mood for since the menu has a variety of tastes. I recommend checking out the specials they have during the week.

Recently went for an early dinner with my family. I enjoyed the environment and was surprised by the food...higher quality than expected. I was most impressed by the service of both the staff and owner/managers. Very friendly and attentive. Look forward to eating at Cheap with greater frequency.

Nice mix of people, good drinks pretty good sushi and actually was cheap ! I went on a Saturday night they have a dj good music. The decor was awesome , different ! Table Lamps hanging from the ceiling, cow hide bar stools and booths . Good place to have dinner and then stay and party!
