A friend and I thought we would try this "Bar & Grill" out for the first time on 9/18/09 around 8:30 p.m. Service:We were seated fast enough but it went quickly downhill from there. We were repeatedly ignored by at least three of the waitress staff over a twenty minute period, and it wasnt even that crowded. Finally, I had to physically put an arm out to stop one to ask if we could get a waitress. When she did show up another 10 minutes later she was nice enough. The Food: We both ordered the same thing. Hamburger platters with cheese that included fries. The price for what you get is retarded for its size. Seriously not larger around than a McDonalds Patty and LESS than a half inch thick and 8 bucks a pop. anything "extra" you want on it like cheese, bacon etc. can easily push this rip-off WELL over 10 bucks. Price: two meals, four bud lights,32.10 plus tip. -Damon in Tampa-

My girlfriend had reserved a section this past Sunday for a co-workers baby shower and when we first arrived we were told we would have the side room but it was not nearly the space needed for the size part we had scheduled. After speaking to the manager Tim he quickly made a change and we were give ample room for the event. The wait staff were courteous and the food was delicious. I know working in the food service industry you tend to hear more negative and the positives seem to go unheard, thus when we come across good service I always make it a point to make it known. The couple who we threw the party for were satisfied and thats what really counted. Great job guys and keep up the good work. We will be sure to return for the momosa special and pretzel french toast!

My friend and I visited the location on Howard on Sunday 7/12/09 at around 7:45 PM. We were seated outside because there was a comedy show inside that required a $15 cover but we just wanted food. The hostess seated us on the patio. We observed 3 different waitresses handling the various tables. Not one of them waited on us. We kept trying to get their attention but they were chatting with a couple tables. We finally gave up. We notified the hostess when we left and she did not seem all too concerned. This was disappointing for my first time there. With so may choices in South Tampa, not sure why I would want to return.

I have been a customer of the lodge for years and went out on a Saturday evening with two of my friends and got vip bottle service, nevertheless one of the juiced up bouncers came from behind me and choked me out and with the help of other bouncers tossed me from the lodge for standing in his way. I guess this is how they treat vip guest or people who spend 600 dollars on two bottles. This man assaulted me and caused me to black out and when I awoke I was tresspassed. I never knew what happened until after my friends told me the bouncer sneaked attacked me from behind.

This place is disgusting. I went there last night on my birthday, got hit in the face for NO REASON, and got kicked out for being the "aggressor". Mind you I touched / mouthed off to no one. I barely had 2 seconds to assess the situation. The security staff involved seemed ametuer at best. They treated me like I was a threat when they should of hunted down the one who blindsided me. Thank you lodge, for ruining the end of my birthday night, its something Ill never forget. Go to McDintins instead.

Ran across this hip place and loved it. The bartender Maria came right over, introduced herself and shook my hand. Good service is hard to find but great service is rare. Maria recommended food and cocktails. I observed as she engaged in conversations equally amongst everyone at the bar. The atmosphere is very hip, the music was good and the specials were great, but the great service will bring me back to this spot. If you have a chance to stop by this place you will enjoy it!

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed by the Customer Service that the Lodge exhibits. There was a mistake made on my order that was originally take-out. I got back to work, noticed the error, called them back, and the manager personally delivered it to my work place. It was such a nice gesture, not to mention the fact that he was extremely apologetic. I havent met a restaurant establishment quite like this and I will definitely be returning! Thank you for making my day :)

My husband and I tried this restaurant today because we had purchased a groupon for it. Where do I start? The food was way over priced, very small portions for the price, and didnt taste good... plain and simple. Also the sushi was soggy, our waitress was poorly dressed and her attitude was very unimpressive. She acted as though we were bothering her. We would NEVER go to this restaurant nor would we ever recommend this place.

The service was good, and the food was fun and clever. The valet service was reasonably priced and friendly. The bartenders were quick, attentive, and friendly. I had the buffalo sushi which I liked a lot. It was buffalo chicken and celery rolled into sushi with a delicious and clever blue cheese fondue for dipping, and that day it was only $5. I look forward to coming back to try some of the other things they offer.

Went to the night club on memorial weekend and my friend got slipped the date rape drug! Its now Tuesday and her doctor tested in her pee. Thank god we ended up leaving when she felt funny! The doctor said the dosage amount was so big she need to be out of work this week, whomever was trying yo slip her back home gave her enough to have their way. Really should get cameras and up security!! Will not return.

My girlfriend and I went with our dogs for Saturday lunch. Brianna was our waitress. Very friendly and polite. Alot of the staff came by to check on us and too see the dogs. Food was great, and yes I can say that being a culinary graduate from a reputable school. So I think my opinion is valuable. Got food for the dogs, lots of ice water for them. Will definitely be back for more.

Went on a Thursday night with a group of friends. 4 ladies gets the table a bottle of complimentary champagne. So we took advantage of that. The waiter was extra friendly and his jokes help feed into our good time. I dont like Guacamole but I decided to try theres and now I think im in love with Guacamole. Also they have live music which was a great edition

I came for hospitality night and ordered a beer tower between 3 people and was automatically charged a 20% gratuity. So on a $13.00 tab I was charged $5.20 against my will. I tip regardless, but being charged an absurd amount for one drink is unacceptable. I understand charging the normal 18% for a party of 8+, but this is crazy.

Great place for game day! Theyve got tons of TVs, drink specials, good food and a friendly staff. I also went on a Friday night and they were giving away free bottles of Patron - it was a packed house! I would definitely recommend stopping here when bar hopping through South Howard or to cheer on your favorite team.
