Besito is only getting 3 most very smallest kisses from me . We had margaritas at the bar while waiting for our table .They were about as good as any hole in the wall place not even near the Mexican border. Served in a small old fashion on the rocks whiskey glass. If you had several you could almost save that money and buy a plane ticket to Mexico. I used my cell phone to read the menu so I could not tell you what was really on my plate which was not a whole lot . Well maybe because it was so dark thats why the waiter stepped on my foot twice but he did apologize at least. My food was a dieters delight two very small enchiladas mix of not much in side of them and about as warm as the empty wicker chip basket on the table . I never got the rice and black beans that was to go with my meal . The room is super Mexican romantic and even the staff look the part. They need to turn the dimmer switch up just a little bit and take a look at the portion size and that the guest got what they ordered. I think they should make drinks with fresh limes and fresh orange juice and use the correct glass. The cost of the food should reflect that you get your whole meal and not part of what was written on the menu. I really want to like the place because I love the style of Mexico but they may get a big kiss good bye if the food and drinks are not better next time. The host and wait staff were super friendly and its dark and romantic thats about the best part.

My son and family treated my wife and me to dinner at Besitos for my birthday. None of us had been there before but my son had received recommendations from friends. We did not go there expecting traditional or "authentic" Mexican food ( I have experienced both from numerous eateries and carts in Mexico and California). What we got was a dining experience that everyone agreed was one of the best we have had. The service was as good as any I have ever had. My son noted that he had been in some high class establishments that did not have service this good. My granddaughter told me, after finishing her dessert, that I should go online and give Besitos five stars. My son said that he would be bringing business associates and clients here. Every dish that we ordered was made fresh and of the best quality ingredients. There was not one item from the chips and salsa to the flan that was not absolutely delicious. The combinations of flavors and textures were excellent. No, this was not traditional Mexican food and yes, it is a bit pricey. But you will not be disappointed. I look forward to returning as there are many items on the menu that I am eager to try.

My relationship with Besitos has been an interesting journey, but I feel that over the course of our experiences they have shown themselves to be not just a quality restaurant with amazing (Im not kidding... AMAZING) table side guacamole or delicious drinks (my girlfriend is completely smitten by the new hibiscus margarita), but a restaurant run by people who genuinely care about your experience. Through real customer service, the management at Besitos made themselves stand apart from practically every other dining experience that I have had and truly sold themselves as somewhere that I want to go. In life, things arent always going to be perfect, so for me, what makes the real difference is the heart. Besitos is a restaurant with heart. Take a chance, enjoy the atmosphere, the authentic Mexican food and drinks, and be sure to get to know the people that make Besitos the special place that it is. I would also like to specifically acknowledge Cathy, Alan, and Maha for making our night so special. Thank you all!

After moving to Tampa in July, I have been on the hunt trying to find an authentic Mexican restaurant. Since the recent opening of Besito Mexican at WestShore Plaza, I have finally found authentic Mexican cuisine that I love! The atmosphere is great too, and just as authentic as the food. To start my meal, I ordered the Besito Patron Margarita and the tableside guacamole. Both were absolutely fantastic! The Besito Patron Margarita was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. I am a huge fan of guacamole and their tableside guacamole blew me away. It was fresh and flavorful. For my main course, I ordered the Chile Rellenos con Hongo. Like the Besito Patron Margarita and the tableside Guacamole, it was delicious. My whole experience was awesome and I definitely recommend anyone to go out and try this authentic Mexican restaurant very soon. The servers are helpful, kind and attentive so the experience of eating at Besito Mexican is outstanding. You will not be disappointed!

Ended up eating at Besitos for a friends birthday. We asked for any signature drink and the bartender said no then recommended their Besito Margarita which taste it like Blackberry Schnapps and they claim it its fresh. Ordered the shrimp a la ajillo and was most like guajillo shrimp. Did not taste the garlic at all and finally it came with black beans really? isnt black beans Cuban? No wonder why people get confused with real Mexican and Tex-Mex! They were not my favorite either. I was expecting refried beans like any regular Mexican restaurant. My friend ordered the ribs piquin and sauce was not too flavorful and had a lot of sour cream. They claim being very authentic and although I did see some familiar dishes the execution is way far for being authentic. Its sad seeing these big chains killing real Mexican restaurants that offer authentic cuisine. Sadly this is not an example of real Mexican. My star only goes to service pretty much the best thing of the whole night.

Besito Mexican is an absolute gem! The food, the service and the atmosphere is fantastic! Walking through the doors of Besito Mexican makes you feel as though youve been transplanted to Mexico. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant is very authentic. The food is excellent, fresh and delicious. When you visit Besito Mexican, definitely order the table side chips and guacamole. They are incredible! I ordered two appetizers, both were amazing! Be sure to start your meal with the Tacos de Camarones and Tacos de Carne Asada. For an entree, I ordered the Filete de Res al Chipotle. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked! I ended the meal with Besito Mexicans complimentary churros. They were warm, fresh and delicious just like the rest of the meal. Throughout the meal, the server was very attentive and always had a smile on her face. I really enjoyed my experience at Besito Mexican and will definitely be going back again soon!

Let me start by saying ... What an awesome experience we had at Besito on May 30th 2015. We visit the restaurant for the first time to celebrate my brothers birthday. I was looking for a Fancy spot with authentic Mexican food and thats what we found. The place inside was gorgeous very well decorated, the services was great including our waiter he was very pleasant and attentive. My husband who at the time was in a very strict diet unfortunately was not allowed to eat anything from the menu due to a body physic completions was allowed to bring his own dish and the restaurant allowed to heat up his food and serve it along with our delicious dishes. Was not expecting that at all this really made our night even more pleasant. We also got to enjoy the making of a delicious guacamole and sangria. We are definitely coming back to enjoy more real Mexican food ! ;)
