The good: the quiche, with shrimp, is outstanding. The bad: service. The servers are very unfriendly, especially when the place is rather full. Instead of telling a customer that he or she will be served ASAP, "I only have two hands..." is not what a customer wants to hear. We tip better than most and expect less than most. My wife and I are "rapidly" approaching eighty- years- old and the last thing we expect is being disrespected by the service in one our favorite little restaurants in Miami, especially when some thing like this is said when you have invited others to lunch with you.

we did not get to try the food because we were so disappointed with this place that we walked out, I have seen better atmosphere at the food court. for the price of food I would prefer to not have my wife sit on a old wooden bench next to the kitchen, also being ignored did not help. p.s. the floor was so slick that my wife almost fell twice. all this at 6:30pm before the crowd started. Went to Carabas and had the most delicious food and the best service I have had in a long time (he got a 30%tip

Dont come here and eat the mussels unless you are prepared for food poisoning. I had lunch here, then started violently vomiting all night. 30 hours of misery. I will never go there again. The Board of Health should shut it down. Then when I called and asked for the manager, they were supremely uninterested. All they have to do is buy fresh mussels -- not keep them forever and foist them off on the unwary consumer. STAY FAR AWAY! 1/12/08

Cafe Pastis used to be a beloved favorite, but my most recent visit was a bit disappointing. Food wasnt as flavorful or nicely-executed as it once was. Service is friendly and occasionally absent, as with many French restaurants. Decor is starting to show its age. All-in-all still a pleasant neighborhood spot, but the kitchen is slipping a bit with its quality and attention to detail.

The food is superb but if you are uncomfortable eating you dont have a nice food experience. Unfortunately they dont have air conditioning in Miami which is a big mistake and you sit in wood bench which is hard and not comfortable at all. The owner needs to spend money and he would make a killer. I love french food but would not come back there.

Manager (male) is very rude with no patience to listen to anyone. Said less then two sentences without finishing the reason for the call, said he wasnt interested and hung up. Very unprofessional and horrible way to do business. Will not recommend to any family, clients, partners or anyone else. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Best French Rest. in all Miami. Bouillabaisse is to die for. Mussels with a nice bottle of wine will make you feel like you are on the cote dazur Don’t try the Roasted Duck because then there won’t be any left for me :) Order it with fries. Tart tatin will top off everything perfectly.

Although its small, this restaurant is quaint and cozy. They offer great lunch options, especially the sandwiches made with bread baked by a bakery only a few storefronts down. Dinner is even better. One of the best bouillabaisses that you can get outside of Marseilles.

This is not a fast food restaurant, do not exspect fast food quality or time. Its little France in south miami. Been a long time since Ive had escargot and believe me its so worth it here. Wonderful with the French Bread. Lamb shank to die for! Yum
