This is a review of the service at the location on Purdy Ave, and not the food. The food was actually pretty good. Now the waitress we had ... wow, typical French rudeness. If youve seen Finding Nemo, all I can do is compare her to Dora. She first forgot that we ordered a soup. Then when we reminded her, she was like "what soup?" with attitude instead of apologizing. Then she brings out our dessert crepe before the soup. Then she forgot that we ordered a 2nd dessert crepe, and when we reminded her, she once again was "what other crepe?" with attitude. Then she tried to blame it on the cooks. Sorry, but its the waitress job to make sure the order gets in! Cooks cant cook what is not given to them for orders! Then she forgot to take our Living Social discount off and had the nerve to add an 18% gratuity on. She also flung our check at us without any apologies and "thanks, hope you come again". Wow, all I can say about her is ... what a dumb, rude French b*tch! I hope she gets fired, as this place had good food otherwise!

This place is an oasis in oppose to many restaurants in South Beach which are violently trying to get you inside their premises. Thats probably the reason why is this place away from major tourist streets, but so worth checking out. World traveler decor is beyond charming. Staff is pleasant and not overly attentive which is also rare at South Beach. There is a nice little sidewalk seating area which is away from all the noise from busy and crowded Espanola way, but still a block away from it. Great way to feel the vibe of South Beach without the crowd part. Crepes is the word for A La Folie. Savory or sweet, youll just enjoy it so much. Overall, a must if youre on South Beach specially at night after a long beach day.

La Folie is a lovely french-inspired cafe at the end of Espanola Way on Miami Beach. A cozy, casual seating arrangement (indoors and out) expands in the evening to include a delicately lit patio that creates an inviting, albeit quaint, ambiance. It is quite unique for the area, as the prices are fair, the menu is simple and true to french cuisine, and the taste is fantastic. I recommend La Folie for breakfast or brunch. A personal favorite of mine is the OEUFS COCOTTE – PROSCUITTO – GRUYÈRE. The portion is rather small, yet still filling and exceptionally delicious. Couple that with fresh-squeezed OJ (or mimosa) and a cappuccino. To start with your coffee, try the tartine (french bread with butter and jam).

I went to Miami Beach with my wife for a short break, and found this place from the internet. This place is sitting in a very quiet street from the noisy Lincoln Rd, with elegant and cozy European deco and music. The Crepe is authentic, identical to the Paris, the taste is above average and the price is inexpensive at all. If you want to have a relaxing afternoon with some authentic taste of French, this is definite the place to be. The only down is the smell of the backyard ruined the atmosphere outside, Inside is nice.

Quaint cafe on beautiful Espanola Way. Ive been coming to A La Folie for nearly 9 years now, on and off, since I moved to Miami Beach about a two blocks from the cafe. Its very peaceful and calm in the morning, morning busy in the afternoon, and bustling and vibrant in the evenings. The food is always good. The staff is generally friendly. The local kitties abound and add to the charm. Its a great spot on Espanola and I hope they stay around for years to come.

Wonderful little french bistro with great outdoor patio atmosphere day or night. Tucked away on Espinoza way, at the end of the street past the more touristy/busy tapas places / cafes. This is the last restaurant on the street, so you might miss it if you only hit the first 2 blocks of espinoza way. Service is friendly. Great for a quieter relaxed lunch or dinner, or just a drink or espresso break in the afternoon. Food is delicious and reasonable priced.

My wife and I just had our wedding reception at A La Folie. There is no way for me to compliment them enough. The value, service, quality and ambiance were simply perfect. We have been eating here for years when visiting or living in the Miami area and it has always been a favorite of ours. Cannot recommend it enough for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Also, if you want to have an event in Miami Beach--do it here.

A bit of France in SoBe..delicious coffee and the crepes - ooh la la! If youre expecting American service, you may be disappointed, as it is very french. Which is a good thing, as they dont mind if you linger over your coffee all afternoon. If youre in a rush, go to Starbucks. If you want to relax and soak up the atmosphere, you can sit outside here and people watch while you enjoy your coffee at the cafe.

Hier ist es ein wenig ruhiger und entspannter als in den Restaurants herum. Wir hatten Sandwiches, die wirklich sehr lecker waren. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und feindlich. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The place is great, good atmosphere, good food, price properly. One of the few places in Miami where the tables for 2 are small. You can have a nice conversation without having to shout across a huge table. Best service ever, you can have a cup of coffee and no waiter will bother you with silly questions, or nobody will question for how long you stay. Try the morning croissants

We enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. Its small, quaint and unassuming. Great food at a good price. The French onion soup was awesome! Veal normande crepe was excellent as well and very filling. At the very end of espanola way so it is quieter and away from the busy tourist parts. Would definitely recommend. Service was average not great, nothing to complain about.

Gorgeous little avant garde French cafe. Food is that of a five star restaurant with relaxed, hipster-esque vibes, but with a genuine quickness and charm. Highly recommend if you are looking to escape the cacophony of Espanola Way techno restaurants at night. Love the atmosphere and the staff is plenty friendly. Crepes are to die for, and the rest of the menu is on par.
