My husband and I always look for local restaurants while we are on holiday. Frankly, I can go to the common Chain Restaurant’s anywhere, anytime. We look for local gems while exploring new towns and we definitely found one in French Corner Bistro & Rotisserie. I’ve learned to trust my husband, he has a knack for finding hidden treasures. Now I would not call us foodies, we generally do not subscribe to trendy fine dining experiences and culinary snobbery. Im not willing to pay twice as much for burgers and fries because of Locale or Atmosphere! We like good food that is as close to homemade as possible. We prefer farm-to-table type restaurants and we really like to support local, independent establishments that do not benefit from name brand recognition. The French Corner Bistro & Rotisserie is authentic French Cuisine and the owner/operators are French, their accent is unmistakable. This bistro has approximately 10 tables inside that can accommodate 4 people each and there is about the same number of tables on the outdoor patio. I would recommend reservations at peak dinner times. The Bistro is open for lunch at 11:00 am and closes between 2:00 pm and 5:30, when it re-opens for dinner. We arrived at about 4:30 and my husband really wanted to try the restaurant, so we did some window shopping until the Bistro re-opened for dinner. We were so glad we waited. As I said, I have learned to trust my husband’s instincts! We were the first ones in there for dinner, and several couples arrived while we were there. From the conversations, they seemed to be locals who visited the bistro frequently. The service was great, but not rushed. We spent about 90 minutes there for dinner. The staff checked on us frequently and our glasses were never empty. Now for the food! Simply amazing! There are multiple wine selections available. I had a French Burgundy wine that was very good. There is also Champagne, California and German wine available by the glass or bottle. The French Bistro is high end, there is no disputing that fact. We spent $100 including the gratuity for dinner for two. Obviously we would not go here every week, but it was definitely worth the indulgence. I would recommend trying their lunch menu as it is a little less high-end. The food was obviously homemade, once we ordered, I heard the steak sizzle on the Grill! I had a steak filet and my husband had lamb, both were fork tender and literally just melted in your mouth! There was a marvelous array of spices, herbs and seasoning used in our foods. I had a blue-cheese salad that was better than any salad I have ever received in a restaurant and I am not even a huge blue-cheese fan! My husband had the butternut squash soup and upon tasting it, it was sweet and silky. This is the kind of food that one would expect in a high-end European restaurant. They offer Fresh baked French bread, market fresh vegetables and local cuts of grass-fed meats. I heard the owner tell another couple that green beans were not available, she had sent the beans back to the market because she wasn’t satisfied with their freshness. The deserts were also fabulous… we couldn’t resist! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those Francophiles out there! My only tip is to dress nice! We had no idea it was such a high class restaurant, so we came in after getting rained on all day at the Zoo! We were wearing jeans, flip-flops and t-shirts, so I felt really under-dressed! However the staff never treated us like the sloppy tourists we looked like! The French Corner Bistro would be perfect for Romantic dinners, special occasions and culinary

Dover Sole- frozen from Europe Salmon- Farm raised in south America Trout- Farm raised in Asia Swai- Farm raised in Asia Branzino- Farm raised in south America Snapper- Mexico and Bahamas We are in Florida, on the coast, and this place has absolutely no local fish to offer. A place this small serving this many kinds of fish? Veal kidneys? From where? Frog legs? Local? Nope. Frozen from China. Escargot from Asia. Chicken from Wal Mart. Steak is ungraded Mexican beef. Lower quality than what is sold for canned pet food in the USA. Disgusting. Do not eat here. EVERYONE ON THE PLANET makes their Cesar dressing with parmesan cheese, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and oil and anchovy. Not this place. Water and vinegar and anchovy. Cheap and gross. Horrible, slow service. Old, spoiled and rancid food.

I had the Lamb with Bourbon sauce and I can say no more than exquisite! The balance in the spices and flavor was incredible. The typical gameness taste of lamb meat was not perceivable, but the deep rich meat flavor was there intricately decorated with an excellent balance of spices and sauce. It has a surprise spice in the sauce, go try it you will not be disappointed. Other in the table had the rotisserie chicken with mushroom sauce and all were complementing the chef on his creations. Very home style ambiance and they treat their customers with great attention and respect. The prices are between $7 and $15 for lunch and average $20 for dinner plates. In my opinion the prices are very reasonable for the dinning experience you will get. Of course if you enjoy great food as much as I do. Von appétit!

The prices are affordable and the food exceptional. We enjoy dining alfresco with our Yorkie and they are very accommodating. We would suggest this fine establishment to anyone who wants freshly prepared tasteful dishes by a chef that aims to please and a staff that makes you feel at home. I personally suggest the Lamb Shank with couscous. We cant wait to go back again!

Worst service ever.. Waitress (owner) was inattentive and we order two sandwiches thats were servered to us 40 minutes after we ordered them. 40 minutes for two turkey sandwiches in a small bistro. Than when told about this to the owner, the attitude was as if she didnt care.. Unacceptable and over priced

Simply the Best. Great French food, relaxed ambiance, French music, quick and great service, authentic French right in the middle of WPB. Love it so much I just called for take out. Spinach Quiche and that fresh salad. Yum. The more you go, the more they know you and the better it gets. Daniel B.

We celebrated our small dinner reception at the French Bistro, it couldnt have been more perfect. The staff was super attentive and the food was impeccable.. I cant stop thinking of the Boudin Blanc. It was definitely an evening with great food, great wine and one to never forget!

If you value your time, do not go to this restaurant!!!! I have been sitting for an hour and I have only ordered. There is no service at this establishment. Skip it, great food but this is a 2 hour event. Not worth it.
