This joint really had alot of character but we went expecting more authentic mexican food and what we got was so-so food that was microwaved prior to being served. The nachos reminded my husband and I of nachos we used to get at the skating rink when we were teenagers. The wet burrito was ok but you could have gotten the same thing from the frozen section at walmart. The girl at the counter was leaning on her hand on the counter and looked bored to death and obviously didnt want to be there. The coke was flat and there was also a musty smell in the place. Over all, the only thing I liked was the home made salsa. We definately wont be going back, a waste of our money.

Im not really sure how this place got more than 2 stars. Im not from this area. I realize it is not an authentic Mexican restraunt...but how am I paying $7 for some people to microwave my food, stick it on a Styrofoam plate and give it to me slapped together? Ive gotten a meal at an authentic Mexican restraunt for $7 and they actually cook it and everything is handmade. Rip off. Taco Bell is a better option. I actually got a sick stomach after I returned home.

I first ate at this restaurant in 1992. I was introduced to the wet burrito by my foreman and it was awesome. It is not Authentic Mexican, but look at the name of the place. Come on now. I recently was re-married and decided to see if this place still existed so i could take my new bride there. And there it is, exactly where i left it 20+ years ago. Food still exactly as i remembered it. My wife loved it as well. Cant wait to return.

I literally just ate there. Cold food. More Taco Bell than Mexican but I would take Taco Bell over this any day. You cant really call this Mexican food when theres a taco truck around the corner that serves Mexican food made by Mexicans. Theres also Dog House which is not too far from there and has always made me smile. I only ate here because the taco truck was closed. Would never eat here again or recommend any one else eat here either.

!!!!NO STARS!!!! Racism still exist ! Me my son and my fiance went there to eat this afternoon. And the young kid got my order wrong. and when fiance went back in to let them know the kid gave her a nasty attitude and magically dropped A rag 3 feet from where he was standing. And a young girl started laughing. We will no longer be eating at S&S TACOS. )Mexican( 10/25/14

Dont let the appearance fool you the food is great and the service is even better. The first time I tried this place I asked for cheese instead of beans on the taco blanket, everytime since they remember what I like. I love the taco salad, my husband gets the wet burrito dinner. Its perfect, fast service, not fast food quality.

9/2012~~Camping in the area and looking for a restaurant. All the ones suggested by the campground were closed so ended up eating here. Very tiny place with 3 tables. Food wasnt bad..taco salad good and hubby ate a burrito which he said was ok. Not many choices in Ruskin and we like to eat at local places not chains.

Best Mexican food ever-Love their Tacos and will be trying something else when we come back to Ruskin for two weeks on 20ths of July-these beat Taco Bells Hands down-) Just wish we had something this good in Ohio-but we get our fill twice a year when on vacation in Ruskin-) See you soon-)

I am new to the area was told they had good mexican food. The beef for the tacos is greasy. I honestly felt like they just scooped Luke warm food on to the plate. Will not go again! Many other mexican places to choose from in the area. This is american mexican at its WORST!

We did not care for the food. It wasnt bad food we just didnt like the flavors. we had a wet burrito combo included refried beans & rice, added a taco being a taco joint . Staff was great!

The place is small, but their burritos are quite tasty. Not what I expected, its texmex, which is a far cry from So Cal mexican, but it fills the stomach nicely. Better than Taco Bell.

One fact to know~ they only serve beef...no chicken, etc. & it is a small menu, small place & isnt authentic latin food~it is more like tex-mex.
