My wife and I decided to try out Amazing Thai on Valentines Day. We have driven by it several times but never stopped in. I will preface this review by stating we have tried Thai & Japanese food at several of the local spots: Kikos, Japan Inn, Moon Thai & Japanese, and iSushi. Our waitress was very cordial and quick in taking our orders. We both ordered the Chicken Pad Thai lunch portion. About 4 minutes after we ordered, the food was on our table. For those of you who have ever gone to an authentic Thai/Japanese place, none of their fresh food takes 4 minutes to make. Our first impressions were "wow, the portion size was very generous for lunch." The was a very interesting aroma arising from the dish. I wouldnt say that it smelled spoiled, but its a scent not common with that type of food. We dug in and couldnt believe how much the dish tasted like noodles, ketchup, fish sauce and sugar. The server came to check on us and I asked her if the dish was traditional Pad Thai. She said they only use traditional ingredients and if we went to Thailand thats how the dish would taste. That was news to me. Weve had Thai & Japanese food in different cities across the U.S., and the traditional dishes typically tastes the same. She didnt bother offering us a different dish. After her explanation, we became worried about the two special rolls we ordered. One was the Beverly Hills Roll and the other was the Hot Mama. The rolls were beautiful. Whoever put them together did an excellent job with presentation. Unfortunately the rolls were not fresh. They were both pre-made. Good luck chewing the rock solid cream cheese in the Beverly Hills roll. There is some kind of "white fish" in the Hot Mama that doesnt taste like any white fish Ive ever had. She walked by and noticed that the majority of the food was still on the plate and wondered why. I answered honestly and explained our disappointment. She responded, "Im sorry you dont like our foods but your tastes are more for those American places." How funny. Weve eaten at upscale places and hole in the wall restaurants with nothing but Thai/Japanese staffers and the food has always been great. I wont be eating at this place again. Do yourself a favor and save your hard earned money. Kikos on University Drive just north of 595 is really good. So is the Japan Inn on University Drive just south of Sunrise Blvd.

I have been going for several years now, and I always get the rolls. The server that I normally have, an Asian girl with long hair, is usually pretty rude. Even though she knows me by now and I always tip well she is still acts like Im putting her out by ordering from her. The reason I keep going back is for the American sushi chef who is hands down one of the best in the area, plus hes very friendly. Today they had an Asian sushi chef working and his rolls were tiny and not wrapped tightly, so they all fell apart. When I told her about it she just nodded and handed me my check where she still tacked on an extra dollar for ordering cream cheese on a roll, which she didnt mention beforehand. Sometimes there is a young girl that works there that is extremely nice. It all depends on the day you go, but I am trying to figure out if I should keep putting up with the service, or try to find another sushi restaurant, even though the food is hard to beat.

How anyone can give this place more than one star any time recently is beyond me, Ive been coming here for years, it has gotten worse and worse, the food is okay, not horrible but if you ever eat in or choose to wait forever for take out, service is horrible, the owners clearly dont care, Ive watched the elderly, pregnant women and kids wait forever just to get water, never mind the food, the waiters stay on the phone taking phone orders sometimes or sometimes they just sit around folding stuff, so this is when its busy or empty meaning 1 or two tables. They never apologize for the wait and they dont care, I can see why amazing Thai massage them change names to amazing bistro instead. Take out is over an hour to pick up if I have to eat there I just call forty minutes ahead. I think my family and friends will eat at Thai Thai going forward this place is just ridiculous, its a further drive but quicker and better service

I agree with the name, Amazing food. The crab rangoon is made with what seems to be a little bit of curry, which sounds weird, but it is absolutely delicious. The dynamite is made with fish, not conch how I like it, but it is the best tasting dynamite I have ever tried. Definitely one of my top favorite places. The service is also good, every waiter we have had (which is probably all of them) was really nice. Update: Beverly hills roll and the nigiri are also delicious :)

Love this place got three of my coworkers hooked on the noodle soup with pork belly. Its so flavorful and tasty the noodles are fresh its totally delish. Ive tried most of the menu the rolls are pretty good my fave is the tuna crunch roll. Oh and the tiger tear salad is amazing but I usually ask for the sauce on the side cause sometimes it can get overwhelming. The service is personable cause its usually the same three people working the dining room.

Nice but a little pricey. TVs are very distracting. Even on a rainy Tuesday night the Amazing Bistro was fairly busy, but we were still able to get a booth. Id rate the atmosphere at a 6, losing a couple of points for the annoying TVs. The food was good, and tasty. Service was good and the hot cloths at the start of the meal were a very nice touch.

Used to come here every weekend. Food USED to be good and service USED to be good. Tonight, half the table got their food and finished before the other half even got their meals. There was only 4 of us n we only ordered 4 rolls. Nobody offered to refill drinks and it wasnt even busy(NO surprise there). Really disappointed. Not going back.

Just moved into the neighborhood, trying to figure out a late Friday night dinner to pick up and remembered this as a recommendation by a friend. Staff was friendly over the phone, very attentive on property, clean and relaxed atmosphere but more importantly the food was great! Cant wait to come back to try other dishes and sushi!

I ordered for delivery and was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Before I even opened the bag it smelled like rotting fish, and it was true I could not eat the assorted sushi at all. I stomached the California roll however I am hoping I do not get sick. I order Tom Yum soup and it tastes like burnt stove grease, yuck!
