New to the area and our first experiences with the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant at 7777 N. Wickam Rd: After grocery shopping at Publix, my husband and I would frequently stop by and order soups to go, but each time we were treated impolitely. The ladies who took our takeout oders made terse comments about our inexpensive orders and were overall unfriendly. They acted as if we were bothering them. They failed to realize what excellent future patrons we would be. We are excellent tippers and frequently dine out. Anyway, we liked the soups, and since we live close by, we decided to ignore the past attitude, return, sample dinner, and eat-in. The results are as follows: Food hot and good. Soup hot and good. Hot tea good. Crispies for soup, stale-not good. Attitude still present but better.( because this time we were odering their most expensive meals). That evening, the problem was the disturbingly dirty utensils: A thick grease/grime build-up could be seen and felt. It was tacky to the touch. Ugh. My soup spoon had dried food on it. It looked like dried egg. The tea spoons had a thick build-up of greasy grime. Twice I requested clean spoons, but each time the waitress gave me dirty spoons. It ruined my appetite. We are disappointed with this establishment. Now, we are searching for a new chinese food restaurant - one with a better dishwasher and a friendly staff...no matter how small our orders are.

I am a fan of Chinese food and I know when I experience great food. Let me strongly suggest that people deter from this establishment. The place looks clean, but the food was disgusting. The wings were overly battered. The fried rice....well Im not sure if it was fried rice and the cookies lacked crunch. I was charged $11 and I expected a bang and instead I received received a did. Smh....Highway robbery. If they werent closing up, I would have demanded my funds back, but I had already driven off without looking inside, as I was in haste to get back to Tampa. Avoid this establishment.

I am apalled by the service I received at this place. The food and service was horrible. When I asked to speak to who was in charge I was told that there was no one there in charge????? Also the women that may have been in charge was more worried about being fired than taking care of a legitimate complaint. It does surprise me with the other comments on this page that this place is still in business. Although the take-out as been consistantly better than the dine-in, I will never patronize this place again. I will also incourage all my friends and associates never to take the gamble.

Good for a hungry quick fix, but I wouldnt make a dinner out of it. 2.5 stars. The good: Thumbs up to the General Tsos - it had a nice crunch and some dark meat in there. The bourbon chicken was good. The portions are very large. The bad: The won tons tasted like lasagna noodles with a tiny drop of meat in diluted won ton water. The egg rolls were pretty dry. The lo mein was very slippery; the ribs appeared to be real ribs (they werent all stained red and crusty like some) but the grease factor was off the charts. Bellybombs. Makes you feel like death afterwards.

Nice staff and clean establishment, but stick with the appetizers and/or "some" soups, as the entrees tend to be overdressed with heavy sweet sauces, which in turn, essentially eliminate the taste of the dishes main ingredients. Large portions all around, so take into consideration when ordering. We tend to stick with the Crab Rangoons, Fried Dumplings, Egg Drop Soup (I like to add a few splashes of soy sauce and hot sauce to taste), and the Hot and Sour Soup (less the Wonton strips, as they tend to always be on the stale side).

There was nothing to like about it. The food had a funky taste the egg rolls were old and nasty. The won ton soup was the worst I ever tasted. The food was the most disgusting stuff I tasted in my life. Stuff in rice I could not identify. Would not recommend this place to my dog.

The food is excellent and is far better than the food you get at a buffet. They are simply outstanding. I have never ever had a problem with this restaurant. The dishes and utensils were always clean clean whenever I visited, and the staff has been very friendly with my family.

Several times we found employees or employees family members sleeping on the benches in the booths. Staff ignores seated customers in favor of take-outs. Wasted 45 min in wheelchair waiting for our order. Went away none the wiser. Never again!

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to try it, but I bit the bullet and found the food very good and I will definitely return. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed the meal. Id rate it 4-1/2 stars!

For a small strip mall restaurant this was a very good experience. The food was very fresh, served hot, and very well prepared. Service was outstanding. Prices were very good too. Would go again without hesitation......

Best tasting Asian food in Brevard . Everything is made fresh so it doesnt taste like it came out of the freezer section at wal mart . If you dont like their food youre an idiot :-)
