Went here for lunch at 1:30pm on a Friday (prime lunch time). The store was empty and the staff was unattentive to the point of being rude. They also couldnt answer any of the questions I had such as, "Can I make my own personal Chop Chop with everything I want and not what was selected for me on the menu?" I ordered a chop chop with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce and white rice which is called a supreme chop chop I believe. I knew there was going to be a problem as they had 10 uncooked chicken breast on the grill but the grill was off or on super low. They had like 4 breast on the very top rack and one on the counter. The made the chop chop and I paid for it with a drink. I sat down and started to eat and as I orignally thought the chicken was room temperature cold and I was going to keep eating but the tomatoes were unripe (greenish and bitter) and I couldnt do it. The chop chop had no flavor, even with sauces and salsa. I brought the food back up to the counter and I said I wanted a refund but just charge me for the drink instead. Most of the staff could not speak English, which is probably why they couldnt answer my questions about the menu earlier, so they brought over one younger girl that could and she told me the lettuce and tomatoes were cold which is why the chicken was cold. I explained again and pointed to the chicken sitting out on the table and the few others on the top part of the grill not getting any heat and then they decided to give me my money back. My meal was $9+ with a drink for the small chop chop. How this place stays in business is beyond me when there are so many great alternatives such as Chipotle, Tiajuana Flats and Pollo Tropical (in busy hours when the chicken is fresh)? I will never be back to Chicken Kitchen and corporate needs to do something about the rude staff at this location and their bland menu.

Everytime I go to the University location in Pembroke Pines they donthe have teriyaki chicken. Ive gone in there 4 times in 3 weeks and they never have it. JUST TAKE IT OFF YOUR MENU. YOURE WASTING MY TIME!

The Chop Chop is a South Florida classic. Get the curry mustard sauce it is delish. Also request it with skin for extra crunch and flavor. This location is clean, spacious, etc.
