Update: Visit this place when Im in the area and it never fails me. Owner is always attentive to make sure everyone is being taken care of. Ambiance is lively and upbeat. Service was quick and food was well done. Wells seasoned to bring out the flavor. Had the Tacu Tacu with sautéed chicken. Cant go wrong with this one. Come by and you will be happy. Update : I come to visit this place often when Im in the area for business. You an always count on the owner to greet you and make you feel at home. Food is consistent and flavorful. My new favorite is a Tacu tacu con pollo saltado. It combines two of their specialty plates in one. It is filling and always leaves me happy. Top it off with some Inka cola and you have food nirvana! Stands out from the rest Have come here a few times, even though there are many Peruvian food choices this place stands out for its food and its service. The food was well seasoned and the portions were generous for a lunch meal. I had the half chicken special and the sautéed chicken and they were both excellent. I notice that the owner is very hands on and knows his customers when they come in. I saw how he took the time to greet and chat the guest.. The service provided shows the results of his hands on approach. This is something I have rarely seen in other places. The prices are reasonable and the place is busy though the Plaza Is full of other places to eat. Great place to try.... Good food good service.. Cant ask for anything else.. .

Came here with my family in late December. Some stuff you can make at home but stuff like Jalea and Lomo just comes out so much better when you have restaurant style materials and kitchen equipment. So we ordered 3 dishes, let me go over them one by one. The Lomo saltado, which is basically sauteed beef with fries and cilantro and onions and other tasty. It was juicy and delicious and I barely shared since it was so good. And I love the juice from meat spilling over onto the fries to make them a bit moist. The Jalea mixta, a crunchy mixture of fried seafood and fried yuca and onions and cilantro and other vegetables, was also amazing. It didnt come with lemon, but they gladly provided some which made the dish all the tastier. The trick here is to make sure you spread the onion/cilantro all over the fried seafood and eat it together so you get that flavor that meshes perfectly together. The Pollo a la Brasa (rotisserie chicken) is a amazing compared to regular rotisserie chicken from anywhere else, definitely delicious and with a distinct Peruvian flavor. That being said, compared to Pollo a la Brasa Ive had at other peruvian restaurants, its a little too dry. Overall, I love this place, and its probably my 3rd favorite Peruvian place around town.

We used to often get food for takeout. The chicken was really good. We hadnt gone in over a year (live far) and went there this past Wednesday and I must admit, it was probably the WORST service I have had in over 5 years. I may as well have gone to Pollo Tropical. I always tip 15-20% as is customary and even 25% in exceptional cases. In this case I honestly was only going to leave 2 dollars for a $50.00 bill. I had to myself, pour my guests drinks and pass out plates. We arrived there relatively later on in the evening, but this was pretty bad. To top it off, they included the tip in the check! Its no wonder the service is terrible. When they reward the servers for terrible service. However, I typically wont even take the time out of my day to write something, but this specific case merited a review of this caliber. If youre going to go there, I dont suggest dining in because you might inconvenience the servers... I wont mention the guys name, although I have it on the receipt, but my suggestion is to have the servers earn their tip and youll retain customers. I was embarrassed in front of my guests and will not likely ever go back. There are many other Peruvian places that are equally as good if not better. I hope this helps.

Excelent food and service. Dan.

I went to this restaurant last year, as a Peruvian, I normally go to differents restaurants in Miami and Broward to find the real Pollo a la Brasas flavor. However, I could not find it here, to be fair the food was kind of good but not good enough. I think that would be awesome for some distracted/newbie palate but not for a peruvian who has lived and grew in Lima. But the SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE, the worst that I saw in years, the waitress, with colombian accent, she wrote down our order without taking the time to explain the specials (we were 4 people the only peruvian there was me), the food took forever and that was because she started eating 2 tables behind us, we had to bother the other servers for refill our drinks or bring more napkins, the food was brought to our table by a co-worker of our missing waitress, and she only came to bring the check. I am not planning to go again, I saw other comments about the service, this is a very delicate issue that the owners should resolve immediately.
