This is our go to for breakfast, or should I say used to be our go to breakfast staple.We were there on Sunday the 4th of December for our normal breakfast visit and for the second time in a row the quality and attention to the customer and food detail and preparation were just not there .. we thought the last time we were there was a one off, and wrote it off to that ..But this experience on the 4th was the same as the last Not Good! I ordered my usual, the breakfast meat lovers casserole, usually outstanding, but this time, as well as the last were not good. The dish used to come with two pieces of toast, on Sunday it came with one. When I inquired about this the server told me they downsized the dish to one. In addition my meal was hastily prepared and thrown together and it was hot on top, but not all The way through as it used to be. The reason we raved about Butterfields was because of the home town feel and attitude of the owner and staff, and the NON-chain preparation of the food. That is no longer the case. The friendly atmosphere has given way to commercial fast, fast, fast and dont care about quality just turn a table attitude. We will be on the hunt for new place to call our breakfast home..Truly sad, as this was one of the few places we felt that were not affected by the hustle and bustle of a growing Parish/Ellenton area.

Lived in Parrish for many years and decided to try Butterfields. Plaza is a dump and have stayed away because of that. Well, we had a good experience the first time and when we went this past Saturday 4/26/14 with a party of 8 ( our first mistake) the food took almost a full hour to come out. The cook....Owner according to the staff didnt seem concerned that we were upset at watching other people come in 20 minutes after us, eat and leave before we got our food. They didnt even offer to comp something like coffee or a frikin pancake. We had 2 young children in our party who were hungry and they just ignored us. Got their at 10am left at 12pm . Oh, BTW the prices are high bill was over $20.00 for 2 of us. Needless to say ..... Bye Bye Butterfields !

Always awesome service, super friendly and truly adorable/enjoyable staff and management personnel. Heartwarming dining experience with a staff that treats you like family. Savanna is amazing with her customers! Oh, and the food? Always prepared and presented nicely. Generous portions at a good value. One of my favorite restaurants in Ellenton!

We love this place. Great place to go with the family for breakfast or lunch. The morning skillets are the best anf their gyros for lunch are delious! Great mix of greek and home cooking. Place is alittle tight but the service is fast and friendly! Love to go here!

Really want to love this place because the food is great, service is nice, and we prefer to support local businesses. However, this restaurant needs a face life and a deep cleaning. With a little TLC this would be my favorite breakfast joint.

They have a BLT club in addition to just a normal BLT, which is great and very filling. The fries are just okay. Overall, the place is great for breakfast and lunch, but there is almost always a long wait. It is worth it, though.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure! You can tell its family owned, my husband and I witnessed a Spat while we were having brunch in the dining room. Lol. However the food and the service are Excellent!

Got good service, good food, and a good price. Got there and had a little bit of a wait, but the church crowd was showing up, so thats to be expected. Went for breakfast, but will go back for lunch too.

Great menu and food but if you are there for breakfast you have to get the Greek omelet. Nothing better to start the day with gyro meat eggs and taziki sauce. You will not be disappointed.
