If you dont want to read all of this, skip to "THE CHICKEN" *The Location* Poorly lit, depressing, and I noticed a large barrel in the middle of the kitchen that looked like it had been storing used cooking oil for about a decade. I really dont know what was inside, I can only tell you that it did not belong. *The Food* Worst Chinese "food" I had in 20 years. I ordered an Orange Chicken combo platter. The rice was fine (and literally the only thing edible), the egg roll I had tasted a little funky. I cant really describe the taste, but it was just off which I thought was weird because how can you mess up an egg roll? They usually buy these per-made and frozen. "THE CHICKEN" OK, OK, OK... I know its common to poke fun at Chinese restaurants how the chicken really isnt chicken because of the general poor quality but... This time Im really not sure what it was. The size of the "chicken" pieces did not exceed the size of a small gumball (very, very small). When you bit into the "chicken" it was 80% breading. IF you did get any "chicken" it was very tough and difficult break-down in your mouth. At one point I was trying to rip the pieces apart with a plastic fork and it was so rubbery, I whipped a piece at my niece and took out her eye, and she was in the other room! That is how much resistance this "chicken" had. -- My brother also had chicken (Gen Tsao) and had the exact same issue. Also he bought us some crab rangoon. It wasnt crispy like it should be and just a triangle of grease with some crap in the center. * The Customer Service Experience * Total joke which I expected, we called in and were very polite. The person handling the call offered absolutely nothing except claims that they sell plenty of chicken and never receive any complaints. They just kept defending the quality of the chicken. No form of apology whatsoever. * The Next Day * I felt very sick to my stomach - no surprise. So, Im not one to complain unless something is really wrong. China 1 should be named something like Toilet 2 because you will painting porcelain for about 24 hours after consuming whatever it is they make there.

I order take out from China 1 a couple of times a month because its convenient not because the food is anything special. Last week I called in an order of Shrimp and Snowpeas. I picked it up, took it home to eat and I noticed that the shrimp were very overcooked, there were very few snow peas and the the container was 3/4 full of mushrooms, carrots and a bunch of other crap that I dont eat. I called them and told the manager about the problem. She said she remembered the order and the reason there were few snow peas was because they were short on snow peas and they substituted other vegetables. I told her that they should tell the customer about any shortage of ingredient when the order is placed. I told her I wanted a refund or my next order comped. She said sorry, she cant help it if they run out of product and she offered to give me $2.00 off my next order or a free egg roll. I told her I would never come back and I would do whatever I could to inform others of how they treat their customers.

Wanted to give this place a try and read a few reviews first. Most of them were good. However, I wish I would of read the first bad review more thoroughly. Did not want it to hinder my decision and own review, since everyone has at least one issue. Now that I find out after reading , the guys got sick after eating this food, I sure hope I dont. By far the worst Chinese food ever. Ordered the chicken and almonds.. you get 60% celery. Watered down, flavorless and very little of anything left in container. Was not impressed with the rest of the order either. Very disappointed and felt ripped off. No wonder these guys are making a killing. Would you like some chicken and almonds with that celery? Will never return and will definitely tell all. Hope you like your review .. chalk it up for another Shmoo... " China Celery 1" for main ingredient !!!

Been coming here for over 10 years. The lady at the front always recognizes me and treats me like family. Food is always great, no matter what time of day. Most importantly is the service... they are always friendly and we frequently talk about our families and what we are up to. Great little place to get some good Chinese food.

I can feel the presence of the dark lord strongly when I step foot into China 1. He beckons me from the smoke clouds of incinerated pig carcasses; I can imagine his claws, long and suggestive. I have the desire to paint a glorious pentacle with duck sauce, and await his arrival in its midst. Set me free.

This place has improved over the years and most who comment say the food is great. I opted to write this review since Im also about to place and order...for pick up. So for you folks who didnt approve of its decor its not really for dining in but they do have seating.

Ive been eating here for years. You will honestly not find better chinese food in the area for the price. They dont glop on thick gross sauces--instead the sauces are light, tasty and fresh. Dont pass up going to this place

My regular Chinese place closed without warning. Tried here based on 5 stars....agree 100%. I got lucky & found my new regular Chinese delivery on the 1st try!! Food was great & prompt delivery with correct order.

This place gave me food poisoning on Monday, dont go there! I dont know what they are doing but they arent doing it right! I had to miss days of work because I still cannot stay out of the bathroom, its horrible!

I am in sales (on the road) around the tampa bay area and I think China One is the best Chinese food around if you want a delicious, fresh, quick Chinese food meal. Im never disappointed.

Do not order from them trust me.... dis honenst and mean ... if you get your correct is ok with tons of msg but most times its wrong.... they cant understand your order so good luck

We order out at least once a month from there. They always make our food exactly like we like it and substitute soda for our egg rolls, as we are not fans of eggs rolls at all
