Can you say YUMMY! Got turned on to Nona Blue by a friend. From the fine furnishings and atmosphere you would expect painfully high prices. I was ready to pay through the nose. My first visit with my friend was to have a short business meeting over a few drinks. We sat on the attached patio. It was not very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good and I decided I would return soon for a meal with my wife. I took my wife last night - Friday at around 6:30. The parking lot was full and there was a steady stream of people headed to this spot. I thought to myself that we were probably going to have to wait a while and I should have considered reservations. The dining area, bar and patio appeared to be full and several larger parties were already waiting. We were surprised that they were able to seat us immediately. We waited little while for our server and two other people came to take a drink order for us. When our server (Natalie) arrived she was cheerful and apologized for the wait (it wasnt really very long). Natalie answered questions about the menu and took both our appetizer and entree order and offered to delay the entree to allow us to enjoy our appetizer (nice, professional touch). We shared the Firecracker Shrimp, it had a very fresh taste and a light breading. It could have used a little more spice and it was still delicious. I had the seared Ahi salad. It was excellent. My wife had the steak salad - I sampled hers and it was delicious - I really enjoyed the spice in the dressing and the steak was cooked perfectly. Both salads were plated expertly - when they arrived I started eating with my eyes. We indulged in dessert. I am the worlds number one expert on carrot cake. Natalie said that theirs was so good that it made her love carrot cake. We gave it a whirl - HOLY MOLEY!!!! This is the best carrot cake I have ever eaten. The next time I will skip the caramel sauce because it takes the sweet to a little over the top. But trust me, if you like sweet dessert and dont like carrot cake - get the carrot cake - you willl be converted. Great atmosphere, GREAT service, GREAT food, GREAT place!

Normally love it there. Made a reservation and took the family there for a birthday brunch. We waited for a long time for food to be served (we asked that the kids meals be brought out as soon as possible). The food then came out in groups (not including the kid meals), not all at one time and they didnt seem to know where the meals belonged. The sides of bacon we ordered and any bacon on the plates were cold. We did send them back, then came back overcooked, with some burnt. When the waitress brought them back, she left them in front of us to distribute to our table. The waitress came out with an omelette and fries meal and gave to the wrong person, who not knowing what type of omelette it was started eating. It was an omelette that belonged to a different person at the table. The drinks also came out super slowly. A server told us there was only one bar tender until noon. Our waiter was great, but we were not impressed today with the food or bar service. Rather disappointed for the price we paid for a table of 9.

This is my second time at Nona Blue. Both experiences have been fantastic. They have a huge bar that usually has seats open even when they are busy. I love the atmosphere, it is cozy and laid back. It feels upscale without being stuffy. The house music can be a little loud at times. The food is great. Absolutely love the blue cheese kettle chips. Crispy crunchy chips topped with a blue cheese sauce, bacon and some balsamic. During happy hour they are only $5. The French Quarter pasta was really good. Penne with shrimp, andouille and ham in a cream sauce. It had a nice depth of flavor and a little spice. The Cheddar Beef is made with prime rib and served with au jus. The baked potato was great. Cooked evenly and had a nice salty skin. Love this place and will absolutely be back.

Went there once and wait time was 2:00 hours. 8 lefft then i went and call 5 hours prior to make a reservation and told me that the minimun wait is atleast 10 hours to make a reservation. Called ANOTHER time to make a reservation for 1 day and STILL TOLD ME was NOT APPROVED. Gave up months passed by and i had a group to get going over there and tried making a reservation FIVE (5) days prior reservation and the girl told me " i will call you back once the manager reviews the reservation" ? Called me back 2 hours ago to tell me it wasnt approved. I had ate there before. Long tiem ago and its not even worth it. Lake nona needs more local restaurants so this peoples head can get smaller. DO NOT, recommend this place horrible coatumer service, i will not go again.

A friend found this place by using a simple Google search and saw the great reviews. I got a reservation using OpenTable and as soon as we walked in they were ready for us. The hostess quickly seated us and our waitress was fantastic; she was timely without frequenting our table too much. She was very engaging. Our food arrived promptly. I had Mamas Meatloaf and she had the French Quarter Penne Pasta Bowl. Both were very good; however, my meatloaf was noticeably dry. The waitress was prompt and checking on us without being pushy and was very good with our check. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone when I know theyre visiting Orlando.

Taylor Taylor Taylor! If you get the pleasure of having Taylor as your server, you will be in great, humorous hands. Eveyone has an opinion, not everyone enjoys thier first time somewhere and everyone is human. I would never NOT go somewhere because i read a bad review. Everyone has different taste and expectations. I say YES YES YES to this place. Servers make a huge difference. I hope when you try this place you get a great server. Taylor made our experience so much fun and memorable. She is a real joy! To us, the food was great, prices are like any other place. Nice place to sit and chill! We are definitly going back.

I dont normally write reviews but I had to make an exception for this wonderful restaurant. Jenifer H made it extra special, I highly HIGHLY recommend requesting her. She paid attention to small details that I almost never see in other servers. We ate the Baja tacos and mussels, which were awesome. Generous portions and tasted ahhhhmazing. Also get the tippling lemonade if you want to have a great time, most alcohol for your $$. Strongest mixed drink Ive ever had at a restaurant. I will be back for the food and great service!! Will be recommending to all my medical school friends!!

Review is for the Lake Nona location, 9685 Lake Nona Village Place Orlando, FL 32827. We went with the family (teenagers and adults), nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the musician (guitar) and the songs he sang. They have a rich macaronni and cheese with lobster that is enough for two. Appetizers were also good. Service could have been better, there were a few mistakes with our beverages, it was not even busy and we even saw the server roll her eyes a couple of times. This is the reason for our 3 star rating.
