Well as I arrive to the window the young boy didnt even knowledge me because he was too busy and his cell phone the woman that was standing next to him just looked at me and look the other way and told the young boy to come to the window and take my order so I purchased my order as soon as the order they close the window and then had me waiting in the window for more than 20 minutes so I asked what seems to be the problem they said that the french fries are cooked order so I said OK understandable so how long your french fries I cook for he says five minutes I say really French for is a cook for five minutes I thought french fries will cook for at least 2 1/2 minutes to 3 minutes And then the young boy just closest to window again I didnt even hear I apologize for the wait we are cooking your french fries to order they just left me standing there forever I appreciate if the owner comes to this location and just make sure that your employees are doing the right thing at all times I am a general manager for food industry and if my employees do anything like that there will be disciplinary action taken customer service should be always at 100% yes sometimes I understand that the customers are not always right but at this moment I was right they just need a little bit of more guileless the lady that was there shouldve been more professional and came to the window and said Im sorry maam for your weight customer service should be always at 100% yes sometimes I understand that the customers are not always right but at this moment I was right they just need a little bit of more guileless the lady that was there shouldve been more professional and came to the window and said Im sorry maam for your wait we are frying french fries oh and by the way the store needs a little bit of cleaning your hood vents are disgusting theyre supposed to be white and they are black I dont know how the health inspector havent been in your store yet so I just hope you get this fixed because I know you guys been open for the many years and the owner is a very great man but he needs to shape up his employees Because his employees have very bad customer service

Absolutely disgusting. I was raised in Maryland and spent most of my adult life there. Lived in Baltimore, frederick, olney, rockville, and so on and Ive never had anything as utterly vial as what I was served at this place. Maybe it was just a bad day for the staff when I visited this not so fine establishment. First of all the decor was depressing to say the least. I looks dirty and run down in there. Secondly the chicken I was served was tasteless. Other than the mouth full of fryer grease I got when I bit down. There seemed to be zero seasoning or anything else on the chicken. Its like they took a raw chicken breast and threw it in the fryer and called it a day. Maybe thats there brilliant strategy. To save cost by not buying any seasoning or flour. Just buy the chicken, fry it, sell it. Please do not associate this place with anything Maryland. This is not our style of frying chicken. Its just lazy and disgusting.

Get the chicken. Not the gizzards and livers (mushy), not the fish (average), not the shrimp (boring). Get the very good chicken the place is named for. The coleslaw is adequate. Get it if you must with THE CHICKEN. The chicken is excellent every time. Call your order ahead, this place is no joy to dine in and everything is made to order, which is good, but slow. The staff is friendly enough, but unlikely to care much about whatever your drama might be. They make good enough chicken to do business that way. Get the chicken.

As other have said, the store is not fancy or in the best location, but the chicken is the very best. I have been coming to this place regularly since 1996 and the chicken has never disappointed me. Others have complained about the fish. Dont know about that because when chicken is in the name, chicken is what you should get. Once in awhile, I will get wings somewhere else because it is close to where I am at the time, but I still like Maryland the best and will go out of my way to come to this location whenever I can.

Use to be the best chicken in town. Went there today and got my order to go, my Chicken was over fried, burnt, or re-fried again to make it hot. The use to be awesome potato salad clearly is not being done the same. Potato was hard and taste horrible. The chicken smelled like old oil. I called them and ask if there was new management and was told no, something is fishy about that answer. The person didnt even ask why I called to ask. Service also sucks!

Ive been coming here ever since i was a kid. Now i bring my kids. The place is a small hole in the wall joint but great chicken and hot wings. We dont come for atmosphere we come for food. Expecting a chicken joint serving you on a silver platter wont happen here. All the negative reviews about prices etc may need to just stick to the gas station chicken strips for more "affordable" prices.

Chicken was good, coleslaw was a mix in the house, the one who hates KFC love theirs and the ones who love KFC thought theirs was ok. Wings were the standard, taste good/ good price, but if you like hot, go up more then the hot. The one taking our order was friendly. The only downside was you could tell the place needed work, some minor but then some that really should be addressed.

The prices are ridiculous! Go down the street on North Dean to Juniors. They have better wings and are way cheaper. Maryland price for 30 wings is 28.99. Juniors is 21.95. I only go to Maryland because they are the only place around that has livers. Otherwise I would not step foot in there. RIP OFF!!

The staff treated me more like my presence was a nuisance than anything, and the guy saying he was the owner was talking loudly over the phone to a guest complaining about undercooked liver just a table away from me. Really awkward. The sides tasted off, but the chicken was pretty okay, so thats something.

Ive decided that Im no longer going to eat at this place the only thing that they have there good are their hot wings and I live 4 houses away. Im going to be driving down to Juniors because its better food, better variety and its cheaper. Theres a reason why theres nobody ever in the store.

Peanut oil fried chicken like Grandma used to make.. Excellent potato salad, staff is friendy and extremely nice! Worth a trip out of your way... Why eat over-breaded and salted chicken at KFC when this delectable place has amazing really great food! And the wings are fabulous!!

Ordered the chicken liver dinner the livers werent cook all the way they were raw and bloody bit into one liver and it was mushy and bloody been comming here for 10 years and the manager wouldnt correct the issue for me very unsatisfied will not come here again.
