If I could give Boston Coffeehouse a negative star, I would. I have had the absolute worst experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. My family owns numerous amounts of restaurants in Miami, Fl so you could say I know a little bit about owning and operating a restaurant. First things first, you treat people with respect - something that seems so second nature and obvious to be extremely uncommon for the workers at the Boston Coffeehouse. I work full time and go to school, and like many other busy people who like to go to a place to unwind -- thats what Boston Coffeehouse was for me previous to this incidence. Today is my day off and I have an extensive assignment due on Friday, so unwillingly I knew I had to spend the whole or at least half of the day somewhere doing so. I went to the Boston Coffeehouse with my friend today to do the assignment. I went in, sat down and was excited to get homework done and sip coffee. Now, I did not want to order my coffee right away so I opened up my laptop and began to do my work. Haley, my disrespectful waitress, came up to my friend and I asking us what would we like. I politely responded saying that I needed a minute but to please let me keep a menu and I would order when I was ready to do so. Side note: I was planning to stay the entire day and have one of their sandwiches as it got closer to dinner time...After getting my coffee to give me that "finish your homework today" buzz. She leaves my table while rolling her eyes. I looked at my friend shocked as if I had seen a ghost. I had to ask myself if that was really the treatment I was given (after coming here for so long). So then, the manager or I suppose is the manager comes to the table and asks us what we are getting. I told him that I needed a minute just how I told his disrespectful waitress (I could use many harsh words to describe her, but I was raised better). Heres another shocker, that man was just as disrespectful as his waitress was. He said he needed my order because people do not just sit here and take his FREE wifi....Excuse me? I am not some shlep that needs to steal Wi-Fi from a restaurant when I have an apartment of my own with its own Wi-Fi. I was going to order eventually, just let me breathe a bit. So I ordered the usual, my chai latte. He asked my friend if she wanted anything and she was so upset about what she had just seen that she said no. He looked at her in shock. He then goes behind the counter/kitchen area and begins to mock me to his employees and all of them were talking smack about me. I was in shock and could not believe this. His waitress, Haley comes and leaves my coffee on my table and says "youre welcome" rudely without even me saying thank you. My stomach turned. I was not only embarrassed by the uneducated employees that are hired at the Boston Coffeehouse but how could the manager or whatever he is even dare to think that is acceptable. I took two sips of my coffee, stayed for an hour, asked for my check and left. As I was leaving, I saw the manager and Hayley in my peripheral communicate a sense of excitement as I was exiting. They did not even say "Have a great day" or anything that one should say just to be a polite human. I am appalled by the way I was treated. I will never go back and I am going to make further steps to ensure that people I know do not go there as well (I am a student who knows a lot of students). This business needs to change managers or do something because I will not be returning to that dump of a place they call a "coffeehouse." I hope I warned anyone who is fooled by this rude, disrespectful, and unpleasant establishment.

I have been to this place before, several times. I have usually never been disappointed--sometimes theres issues with the soups not being as hot as they could be, but theres always bound to be a few issues like that here and there for places that serve food. Normally, I would have given this place a full five stars, because I adore it, and have never really had bad service until now. I went in about 10-12 minutes from their closing time. Yes, I felt bad, and yes, I understand that at that time the machines and such used to make/prepare the coffee might have been ready to be shut down, and the employees were probably ready to leave. I felt bad for showing up so close to closing, but unfortunately it was the only time I was able to go with my boyfriend. I wanted to show him my favorite local coffee spot--and I love this place, so I feel incredibly awful to give it anything lower than 4 stars. When we walked in, we were met with a few unhappy looks from behind the counter, and I apologized for coming in so close to closing. No response. We ordered two chai lattes and they gave us the drinks, at which point I apologized again for coming in late, and hoped no one else would come in tonight for them. No response. Over all, it was a very lackluster and disheartening interaction, one that is very out of character for the employees of the Coffee Factory. I brushed it off, some people get cranky and tired at the end of their shifts. I get it. The problem lies in what they served us. My boyfriend and I arrived home and a few hours later had bad stomach cramps and...well. Some bowel issues. We ordered the same drink, and I consume caffeine like its nobodys business, so I know it wasnt just the caffeine itself. Ive never gotten a reaction like this from drinking chai nor coffee products, and Ive certainly never gotten sick like this at any other time that Ive consumed Coffee Factory food or drink. Maybe your machines need to be cleaned, or some sort of health inspection should be conducted at this establishment? I really wouldnt suggest it unless our reactions were truly that extreme (heck, this is the first google review Ive ever written). But other than this one bad experience, all the rest of my interactions with this establishment have been fantastic. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, great service (if a bit of a wait at busy times of the day). I highly recommend it! ...Just dont order the chai tea lattes.

I have been here numerous times (it is close by, semi quiet compared to other nearby coffee house, and pretty decent sandwiches). Service is usually a bit slow but overall had ok experiences prior to my last. The last time I went in there, I brought a training group of 9 other people. I came in with a reusable cup from Starbucks (yes it was filled with coffee) and asked for a menu as soon as I sat down. The server came over (he was very nice) and said I could not use my reusable cup because of health code. I told him to please charge me for a coffee but I preferred to keep my own coffee and order food. The owner came over with a throw away cup; which I explained defeated the purpose of having a reusable cup. He continued to repeat that it was for health code & because kids come in and free load off their internet that I couldnt use my own cup (even though I repeatedly explained I would be happy to be charged for a cup of coffee). They brought me out a coffee mug, which was extremely dirty after making a big deal of health code. The kicker 1/2 of the ladies I brought in all came in with reusable cups and I was the only one told I could not use my own cup. We all ordered food, snacks to go, and drinks. It was more than embarrassing to be singled out (I am sure because it had their competitors logo) in front of the group I brought in and told beforehand that it was a nice cozy atmosphere. The server was very nice and apologized several times. The owner coming over and making it a "thing" was disappointing. I often have large groups that we need a meeting space to go to. I was hoping due to distance this was going to be my go to place. I much rather support another small business than take meetings to the big chains. After this last experience though, I am not sure Id be comfortable going back.
