This is an authentic Italian family restaurant with lovely table settings, European style service and a uniquely Italian cuisine. The location is the only issue I had was finding it off of International ave...all that does is make a real diamond in the rough. Orlando is full of dining options most of which are chains where even the nicest has a packaged experience let alone the big box places surrounding all the international attractions here. Not surprisingly the tables around us this Christmas eve were full of families and laughter with Italian accents. Our appetizer of sauté Calamari was served with butter lemon sauce and snippets of spinach. The balance of butter, garlic and lemon was perfect. In fact the lemon sauces appeared in a number of entrees too - apparently a chefs favorite. Seafood predominates mixed with appropriate macaroni. We were delighted with everything. Desserts... wow. Lots to choose from. We had the Affogato, Tiramsu, and Ice cream with black Cherries. Its worth going here for the dessert alone. This is a four star dining experience without the pretensions or cost youd find elsewhere.

We were in Orlando, FL and were a few blocks away from Ciao, so we were in the mood for Italian Food and ordered here for takeout since we had two little kids that needed to go to bed and we didnt want to take them to a restaurant. We were told it would take 15 minutes for our order so that is when we showed up to pick it up. When we got there, the hostess was nowhere to be found and when we finally got her, she told us our food would be ready in a couple minutes. 20 minutes later she was nowhere to be found, and the patrons that wanted to dine in in back of us were getting upset. When she finally appeared she told me my take out meal would take another 10-15 mintues. Needless to say, I wasnt to thrilled about this since I had a family at home that needed to be fed. When I expressed my displeasure, the hostess said..."what can I do"? All the people that I came across in the restuarant were not happy with the service, I definetely dont recomend going here.

This restaurant is the "WORST".... Service was terrible. Food was horrible. I had their seafood special. It tasted like black licorice. When we asked the waiter he said it was their special seasoning. Well they can keep it. One of the guest got extremely ill. There were 13 of us at the restaurant. My husband wanted a to go box. The waiter came over took his plate and threw his meal out. When we asked about the doggie bag. He said he didnt think we wanted to take the meal. (They did make him a new meal to go) The bill came to $612.00 only a few of us had drinks. Wine was $10.00 glass. The 20% gratuity already figured in was $96.78. We left a total of $610.00. They came running outside to chase us down for $2.00.

I took my girlfriend out to dinner here. It was a rainy Saturday night and I was afraid we might make the chef angry by arriving 30 minutes until close. Luckily, the staff was quick to seat us in the half empty restaurant (it was raining cats and dogs) The wine menu and food menu had perfect amount of choices. Most meals are prepared with locally sourced food. I got the Seafood special which had Shrimp, Lobster, Scallops and Grouper in a cherry tomato sauce. It was amazing from the first bite to the last. I suggest this place for couples or for large groups. Dont be fooled by the strip-mall location. Its 5 stars out the door!

Restaurant is in a completely unassuming shopping plaza, but once inside the decor and ambience is reminiscent of a higher end restaurant. We made a reservation for Friday at 630 pm. Table was ready and waiting when we arrived. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Sauteed calamari was delicious, we had to dip our bread in the sauce just to get every last bit! got the chicken marsala and my date got the seafood pasta on special - both were phenomenal. Tiramisu was smooth and perfect. We are just thrilled to have happened upon this family owned establishment. Next time we are in Orlando we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The resteraunt is nice on the inside, It was WAY over priced. I expectd that but with a meal you dont get anything else but some hard bread, no salad, no soup, no nothing. I figured for the amount your spending, they would toss you a bone of some sort. I could have handeled all this, the real problem was the food was terrible, i ordered the fettucini Alfredo with shrimp, worst alfredo i ever had. I have had better at Fridays, actually every where else i ever order alfredo from. My wife had the red sauce Linguini with shrimp. Terrible also, i would reccomend finding somewhere else to eat.

The food was incredible. I had the pappardelle with wild boar - wide, perfectly cooked pasta in a rich sauce of tomato and stewed meat. My wife had the pasta special - huge pieces of fresh seafood in a light sauce of tomato, butter and fish stock with massive tubular pasta. The bruchetta appetizer was very good, tomatoes were very fresh with basil and quality extra virgin olive oil. My son had spaghetti and loved it. Prices were fine, around $20 per adult entree. The service was quick and friendly. Will be returning repeatedly to try everything on the menu.

I was there with my girlfriend. The food was okay. However, I was charged 19% tip for party of two. I am Asian. Is it a regular treat of this restaurant for party of two? I am the owner of many businesses and also own one restaurant. I never allow any of my servers do that kind of treat to any race. If it is a regular treat, I am fine. If it is not a regular treat and subjective because the servers felt afraid that I would never give any tip, I think it is discrimination and the owner should train their servers with more fidelity.

Fantastic as usual and always great service. This time the wife and I both had linguine with clams and shared The Catch of the Day which was grouper with a white wine lemon butter sauce with artichokes amazingly delicious. We ended things off with a tartufo and a cannoli with two picture perfect and amazingly tasting double espressos excellent service and will definitely be back cant imagine how anyone would complain about this place.

Talk about great southern italian that was just as good or better than these reviews, You may be a bit cynical when you arrive at this strip mall, but this really is a hidden jem! The Calamari in lemon butter (not fired) was out of this world. The pasta with grouper diablo style was also a hit. Great wines for under $40/bottle and top notch service capped off a great dinner. This is a definite on our list for Orlanda!!

My husband and I are in town for a conference and stumbled on this restaurant where we had dinner last night. Wow! The menu is totally "real" Italian and quite good. We spent two weeks in Italy last October and were able to eat at some outstanding restaurants, but frankly nothing we had there was any better than we experienced at Ciao Italia. We liked it so much, in fact, that we plan to eat there again this evening!
