Terrible experience! After church on Sunday I took my family and a friend (who had already eaten) there for the buffet. There were 5 of us at the table, we had 4 buffets and 4 ice teas and an ice water. The food was o.k. Some items were very good, most were average and some items were awful; especially the deserts. In fact they were so awful that it was a joke at our table. It went something like this: "I triple dog dare you to take a bite of that cake". Imagine aspartame, old coffee and Raid, but worse. We werent rude and we didnt share our opinion with anyone outside our table. Even my friend who didnt eat took a bite of cake to join in on the fun. Our waiter who was MIA , never brought our check so i placed my credit card at the edge of our table to signal that we were more than ready to go. The waiter walked by, pick up my card, still didnt leave a check, but proceed with the charge on my account. I was charged for 5 Buffets and 5 drink. I took my bill to the cashier to correct the over site. The extremely rude cashier blamed me for not being clear when being seated that one of our party was not eating. So when all else fail talk to management? Management refused to refund for the buffet since my friend admitted to tasting the cake then walked away from me and into an office behind the cashier and closed the door. My friend asked if she could just pay for the price of the cake slice and was told, "thats not how it works" . I was told "I dont care if you ever come back" and "its your fault" and "you should not come to a buffet if your not going to eat". I was refunded for 1 drink and left with a bad taste in my mouth.

So we have decided to share our experience with anyone who is willing to listen or read. We have been to this eatery in the past and experienced only problems with the lack of fresh food. We decided to go last night because we had a large party which included 5 adults, 1-11 month old, a 24month old, a 3year old, a five year old and 3 of my ten year old cousins. When we first got their an Asian man in a backwards cap approached us, he had terrible customer service...didnt greet us just asked how many. I gave him the ages of all the children and advised him that we had five adults. He said, "No that ten year old not 5ft"... No restaurant EVER has a height requirement to eat. So we pressed a little and asked why must the child be 5ft to indicate that he is 10 years of age. The man grew impatient and walked away from us and then a lady approached. He spoke to her in their native tongue, and then she started yelling FULL PRICE FOR ALL THE CHILDREN...including my infants. My husband and my friends husband questioned why no signs indicated that children over 5ft had to pay an additional $5.49 each. We would have paid if their was something that stated this in writing but their was NOTHING other than a homemade ruler to the right side of the wall marked with the words 5ft in sharpee which came up to my husbands nose and he stands very tall at 65". After the lady tried to explain that because the child is their definition of 5ft and will eat more and that is their reasoning for paying full price we left... Our family will not return. This is America where a childs age is measured in years not by height....

They hate handicapped people of all kinds no matter if you have a walker or a service dog. I have a service dog that is certified by the United States and by Florida and they would not let me in. Believe me sit in the lobby which was hot as hell. And wait and wait and we were turned away. A woman came out to talk to us and then she made a phone call to God only knows who. As far as going back to them I will never go back to them ever in my life none of my friends eat their food nobody will never tell anybody the place itll be the worst place in the face of the planet worse than a third world country. So if your reading this DO NOT go here.

I absolutely loved it! I have never had a pleasant experience with chinese buffets, and I am not a fan of buffets in general. However, my boyfriend convinced me to go and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, they were constantly bringing it out, and most importantly it was CLEAN! Something that has been a problem at other chinese buffets I have been to. I really loved the variety of food they had. There are alot more options at this place than others. Some of their sushi was pretty good. We went on Mothers Day so it was pretty packed; however, that did not effect the quality of the service or food. I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately there is no option to put. - stars. This place is by far the worst place I have ER EATEN at. The food was hours old and tasted like vomit. The food was ice cold and when I told the manager she said she would take off $2.00 of a $40.00 dollar meal, mind you there were roaches crawling on the buffet and they charge $10.00 plus drinks are extra in which they charged full price for my 4 yr old grand son who didnt even eat a piece of pizza let alone anything else. When I told her i wasnt going to pay for something we couldnt even eat plus had roaches she threatened to call the cops. This place needs to be shut down

I went here for lunch with my husband and my three year old. If you enjoy ice cold food from a buffet place, then this place is for you! If you want to wait 10 minutes for someone to miraculously show up at the hibachi to prepare your meal after ringing the button 17 times, then this place is perfect for you! If you enjoy getting charged for not eating at this location and arguing back and forth with irresponsible restaurant owners then what are you waiting for? Pack up your minivan and head on down to Wild Rice Buffet...a truly wild experience indeed!

Open under new name. My wife and I were disappointed to find that Wild Rice Buffet had closed since this is one of only two Chinese buffets we have found in the Orlando area that we would go to again. The place is open under a new name and other than the name seems the same as before. The new name is Kirin Buffet. We went there yesterday afternoon and the food tasted great and was fresh even on a Wednesday afternoon. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for good Chinese at a reasonable price.

We was in the area on 9/15/2014 and decided to try out the buffet. It was on Monday @ around 6:00pm., it was crowded then. The atmosphere was very pleasant and rest room was clean. For $9.99 dinner price, it was excellent. There were quite a variety of food, pastry & fruits. The best was the shelled shrimp with a little bit of salt & pepper, very flavored. I ate plenty of it. There were also ham & roast beef which you can carve all you want to eat. Overall, it was worth the trip & money.
