Visited May 9th for breakfast while viting my family in Ocala. I entered the restaurant and was not even greeted. The waitress was cold and not too Friendly. I ordered the Cuban omelette it came with toast and potatoes on the side. I got the distinct feeling that I was treated so inappropriately by the staff because of the color of my skin being black. I noticed that the same cold waitress was nice to three ladies that came in Hispanic speaking Spanish and was more friendly than while she was serving me. The food was a total disappointment but I gave the waitress a $2 tip. I also noticed two strands of hair on the Cuban bread. I would never revisit this hole in the wall and I would never recommend anyone passing through to stop and eat there the food was not authentic Cuban at all. The best part of the meal, was the Cuban coffee and milk served in a styrofoam cup while I have table service. Please note that I am from Latin America and fully speak Spanish and understand everything that the ladies were talking

Im in here almost every week. Thats how much I love the food and the atmosphere. Since the first day I went in (just a few months ago), I was treated like family. Manny, the owner, knew my name by the second time I went in. I have since taken my family, friends, and coworkers. Everyone loves it. Its a family owned business and each member is as friendly and welcoming. It feels like home when I go in. You never eat alone because the owners and staff always engage in conversation. I call in my order some days to save time but always end up chatting for a while once inside. I cant pick a favorite dish because its all deliscious, authentic Cuban food. Coming from Miami, I hadnt been able to find a true Cuban restaurant until now. Love this place, love the owners!

When we first arrived, my husband and I were asked to move to a smaller table since there was only two of us and we sat at table for four. I have never been asked this at another restaurant. Personally, I dont love small tables but that wasnt a big deal so we moved per the waitresss request. I ordered the Cuban pot roast. The reason I gave it a 1 is because it tasted awful and I couldnt eat it. I wondered if it was spoiled. I felt the food lacked traditional Latin vibrant flavor. Also, a customer walked in with a dog without a leash and the dog was walking around. I seemed to be the only one surprised by that and it wasnt a service dog. The staff seemed friendly but I sadly, will not return.

Just placed an order for this AWESOME food from NC, my dear cousin is coming up and will bring me a big order of steak sandwiches and other goodies and deliver them up here to me in the mountains of NC!!! The food is cravable, before you finish eating you start planning your next meal from here. Cant wait until I get back to Ocala and can eat here every day. If you like REAL CUBAN FOOD (Im originally born and raised in Miami, so I know real Cuban food well), this is the go to place, small, friendly and AWESOME food, they treat everyone like family. Cant wait to get back!!!

Cozy and convenient family owned restaurant. We took the children for a late lunch and we all left exceedingly pleased with the experience. We went with the classic Cuban Sandwich and Arroz con Pollo. Delicious and well prepared tender meats with both of the main dishes. The kids had chicken tenders and they both enjoyed the experience. Definitely quality home style cooking and the authentic Cuban style prep is a major reason we will return. Take Out or Dine In makes a great reason for us to visit much more often.

I stopped by the Latin American Cafe in Ocala when I was looking for some lunch. I decided to go with the Classic Cuban Sandwich and a soda. The environment is awesome, the people and the service was friendly. I enjoyed the Cuban Sandwich and I plan on bringing some friends back to get lunch sometime. Before I left I picked up a couple Churros to top the meal off. The Churros were sooooo Good... I will be stopping at the Latin American Cafe again real soon. Highly Recommended.

My wife and I and another couple were first-time visitors for lunch today. Storefront, diner-style decor but delicious Cuban sandwiches, attentive service, and an entertaining table-side visit by the owner/host, Manny. Even though the place filled while we were there, we felt no rush from staff to clear us out. Id award five stars, but I thought the sandwiches could be a little larger for $8.00. Im definitely adding this place to my local favorites list.

Terrific little neighborhood cafe. Delicious and authentic latino foods including superb black and red beans with rice, yucca, friend plantains and much more. Taste of Miami in the convenience of being just a short drive away. Puerto Rican spouse says the red beans are the best since leaving the island....former Miami native, I say the black beans are the best. Bottom line - both are terrific and the price is right.

So I asked for a grilled flank steak, and they brought out a really dry steak, it was almost like a price of beef jerky. I told them about it and they offered a fresh steak but I decline, they were polite but I wont visit again. This does not mean this place is bad it was just my experience and my comment.

Very popular with locals for Cuban. This is the real deal- not a bad item on the menu. Go for the special. Ask for the homemade habanero sauce! This is a small place with limited seating. You may have to wait for a seat but well worth it. Wonderful owner and staff.

A must stop for local Ocala. Great food and staff but can get busy. Worth a stop for sure, nice menu of authentic Cuban food. They have started to run some new menu items that vary from day to day making the need to go back even more critical. Great place.

My family & I love to eat here. It takes back to our roots. They have those cut Cuban bread w/ butter roared to perfection. Their confrontation is out of this world & their flans are to die for. I highly recommend it. Go and try it you wont be sorry.
