I havent been to a golden corral in ten years, because they had bad food, but this place is great!! Fresh cooked to order talapia, shrimp and scallops as well as cooked to order steak, their cabbage wasnt over cooked, carrots are fresh not canned junk, their banana pudding was like my grandmothers! They have fresh baked goods, the people on here complaining have no idea how good they have it, as this is the only food bar in Ocala, the town Im from has a sizzler and ryans which both in comparison suck greatly!!! Im a fat man that travels a lot, you will be hard pressed to top this place at any price!!! My wife and I will return often as we feel this place in in the top 5% of what ocala has to offer! I still cannot believe Im saying this as I used to think from past experience that golden corral was horrible, this has changed both of our minds!!!

Awful place. Terrible customer service. We had a party of 11. Girl asking our group amount rolled her eyes and said, "Eleven. Oh god." A man at the front counter refilling the straw dispenser who I believe is the manager as he was only employee in a button up shirt said, "Youll never sit that." We wait less than 10 minutes but then the same girl takes us to 2 separate tables. And she asks if we want the highchairs between them. We say no and that well move the tables together. Then the man I think is the manager comes yelling we cant do that. Funny, the waitress never said anything. Then he slams chairs around when we asked to be sat together. Rude man. Very ugly attitude towards paying customers who told you upfront they had a party of 11. They then tried to separate another party! That family was not having it either.

Horrible, to start Fellica was a less than hospitable hostess, she had an attitude that most black women would find disturbing. On to the salad bar, the mix greens were slimy and rotting while smelling like hay. The Mac n cheese was gritty and the sweat potato fries were soggy and cold. While sitting and trying not to throw up at the shear nasty selection I had chosen we witnessed employees handling food with out gloves, one sneezed into her hands and continued loading already cut strawberries into the customer reach container. Over all the food was poor even for a golden corral and above all the staff had no respect for their jobs or the health and welfare of the people eating there. Gross!!!!!

Quick and easy meal. Fresh food on the Buffett. Open later until 10. Lots of food choices and also many desserts. Revision 6/1/17. After posting about my less than positive experience last night, the management team went out of their way to contact me and made several very sincere gestures to address and correct my concerns. To make such an effort for a single customer in such a high volume establishment speaks volumes about their commitment to their clients. I am truly impressed by the response to my concerns and will most definitely remain a frequent customer. The food has always been good, but this kind of customer relations is quite rare. Thank you.

They charged us $14 at 1130 and said it was dinner time.... They do not offer any discounts for veterans, seniors, or first responders. What a rip off it cost us almost $40 for early lunch. The girl at the front counter taking The money was too busy on her phone to work, she just told us The total and went back to her conversation with her boyfriend. It was incredibly rude and I was seriously disappointed. The food was not even that good. I wont be going back to this location I will go to the villages or something. The only good thing I can say is our waitress was so sweet and nice. She brought drinks fast and was very attentive.

Best fried chicken in Ocala...but guys its time to face the music. Close for a day or two and abate that place of urine, fecal and vomit odors. I distinctly smelled all three in separate places until i settled on a place in the back. I mean all the carpet has got to go...not just the patchwork job youve been doing. Address any plumbing problems. I know its a common occurance when your clients are elderly. Put a little thought into this. That stuff has got to be aspirating in the air and who knows from there. The big fan you turned on after i complained did little to help but did make the food on my plate immediately cold.

Not good, got sick half way though my meal, but the server he was very nice I wish I could remember his name was very nice food was mediocre I went in late I dont like Ill go back again unless I take my grandchildren to me the prices are High if you want to take a family of 5 or 6 youre putting out over $100 because you can never eat the amount food that you pay for and they wont give you a carry-out box for what you dont eat. I know people my stuff on their plate to take home but still they should offer whats on your plate take home I didnt have anything on my break cuz I threw it up

Today was the last day we come to this horrible place. The salad bar is always running out of something, they hire staff with absolutely no experience so you have to wait forever for someone to bring you a drink (even when its not busy), there was a group of 5 employees standing by us and a few other tables blocking the walk way while complaining about management. Although I agree that they should not have hired a manager that ran a pizza hut into the ground just a few months earlier. Its not hard to see why this place is going into the ground too. We will never eat here again.

This is a constant go to location for family gatherings. What makes it nice is that its a buffet experience so that everyone gets what they want and how much they want. If you are looking for a generic buffet (non-Chinese) Golden Corral is for you. Not so much because it is an excellent choice, but because it is the only real option around. The Food is one step above edible and the service is deplorable. It could be because they are understaffed, but I never seem to get any refills. Why cant they make that self serve to instead of waiting 15+ minutes to get a refill.

the food was horrible! anything I tried I wanted to puke! only thing I did like was the steak that was it! my 2 yr old who loves mashed potatoes,fries, and green beans took one bite and pushed it away! also there was an employee trying to be boss and was yelling at another employee in front of customers. understandable if he would have just said it or asked for the other employee to do something but you dont stand there and yell I mean there were kids standing there listening to it! I know I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!! nasty food and no team work.

If youre hungry, this is the place for as much as you can eat and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The wait staff was very attentive of refilling our drinks and taking plates away when youre finished. This place can definitely handle large groups. There are healthier alternatives with a nice size salad bar, but then theres the fried chicken and cheeseburger sliders, mac and cheese, popcorn shrimp etc. that will make you say mmmmmm. Then you have to save room for a variety of yummy desserts that are the perfect end to your meal. :)
