Firstly, dont be discouraged by the sour puss 2 star review on here. Also, Ive never been to NY so I cant compare. Yet isnt everyone from up there, down here making pizza? Anyway, we drive by the place several times a week since it opened and always said to ourselves, "we should try them sometime". So Wednesday night we did and Im happy to say we have a new favorite pizza place. Admittedly from the outside it looks kind of plain, but once you enter youll be pleasantly surprised. Its decorated very nice and has an inviting aura to it. The wood fire oven is visible when you enter and some of the aromas form the fresh food is very evident. We were offered to sit where we pleased, I like that! Our waitress Barbara was very nice and knew the menu so well that we thought she wrote it. I like that too! Within the first minute she informed us of the childrens menu and offered our 8 yr old daughter something to drink. Service was quick and friendly. We opted for the salad and pizza selections. The strawberry salad my wife ordered was great. More than enough for all 3 of us and my daughter asked for more! She liked that! We ordered 2 pizzas as we wanted to try one from the wood fired oven and one traditional. We knew our daughter would crinkle her nose at the goat cheese, olive and basil Caprezi, so we also ordered a traditional Grandmas with pepperoni and pineapple. We couldnt finish them all but man were they delicious. As we sat there and ate I witnessed several families enter and receive the welcome back greetings. I looked around the restaurant and watched the staff interact with each other and customers and could tell they were striving for success. This is just the kind of place Ill return to again for a pleasant meal in a nice environment. And as we were told before we left, "No body leaves without a Baci". Go and see for yourself.

Mediocre, overpriced food served in a small, hot no class environment. We had two subs and a childs spaghetti with one order of fries. The tab was $25 for the food. By the way, there is no official childs menu, we had to ask and spaghetti was all they had. Our waitress was ok but complained that is was hot and she was right..it was uncomfortably warm. We dont know if the AC was broken or the owner had it turned too warm. The steak and cheese sub comes with steak, cheese and a bun. If you want onions, peppers or mushrooms, it is extra. We added onions and I can tell you there was a hard chunk of something in the sub that was not meat and not onion so it was disgusting. The chicken parm sub was bland and looked like pre prepared chicken fingers in some red sauce. No flavor. The subs come with nothing...not even a pickle. So we had to order fries. Just all around not worth your time or money and needless to say, there are numerous better choices all around so we will never be back. Their claim to fame is their brick oven pizzas. We saw several. They were small and burned. Most folks either left some or did not eat them and took the rest with them. Not recommended:-( One more thing, I see two other reviews and they are 5 star. They must be relatives or staff because they are not honest in any stretch of the imagination.

Finally! Excellent pizza.....easily the best Ive had outside of NY City. A+++ (Come to think of it, this pizza might actually be better than any pizza Ive had in NYC.) Baci Pizzeria Restaurant is not just a great pizza place, its a gourmet restaurant with something for everyone. The menu is interesting and diverse. You may choose from many traditional oven-baked pizzas, as well as specialty wood-fired pizzas, such as Artichoke Pizza or White Clam Pizza. A large selection of healthy gourmet salads, appetizers, and sandwiches is also available. (Anyone care for antipasto, a veggie panini, strawberry spinach salad, or eggplant?) Of course they have Philly cheese steaks, wings and burgers, and the prices are reasonable. As for myself, Im looking forward to my next traditional oven-baked pizza with red peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms. Yummy. The restaurant has been decorated elegantly, and provides a nice environment for enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. I hope they offer delivery in the future. Note: I dont know anybody at this restaurant, and I have no affiliations with it. My wife and I want Baci Pizzeria to succeed in New Smyrna Beach simply because WE WANT TO EAT THEIR PIZZA!

I thought this was such a strange place to put a restaurant and is not much to look at. We went on a Sunday afternoon. There were only about 5 tables sat. It is small and quaint but lacks ambiance during the day. May be different at night. We ordered Caprese which was fresh but the Mozzarella did not have much flavor. We also ordered the Italian Nachos with parmesan cheese sliced over the top and a pesto base, they were excellent. I would return for that. Also enjoyed the Brick oven pizza it was perfectly cooked the combination of artichokes, greek olives, prosciutto, and meatballs. The crust was crispy and thin. The flavors were excellent. We also had a cannoli, it was ok. Service was excellent though it wasnt busy. The wine list appeared adequate though only select wines are sold by the glass. There isnt a happy hour yet but will be soon. I would return for those nachos and a glass of wine for sure. Different than other pizzerias in the area. Moderately priced, definitely worth the try.

They claim to have "wood -fired " pizza on their menu, but if the pizza I ordered was wood -fired, then something is not right. The two pizzas we ordered were less flavorful than a grocery store frozen Tombstone pizza. I also have a very hard time believing that they even make their pizza dough. It had no flavor or even remotely decent texture. We could have saved both time and money by popping a grocery store frozen pizza in the oven! I dont understand why anyone in their right mind would have the desire to open a pizza restaurant if they didnt even make their own dough. I also was really disappointed by the broccoli rabe and clam sauteed appetizer I ordered. The broccoli rabe, stems and leaves were tough and under -cooked, with little to no seasoning. My husband and son opted for the cheeseburger and fries, which was bland and nothing special. Our house salads were nothing special or memorable. My advice to you, dear readers, is to save your dough and pass this disappointment by.

I went to Bacis in New Smyrna Beach, FL for the first time tonight and fell in love. The BEST Italian Ive had in a really long time. I dont even like broccolirabe, theirs was amazing. Eggplant is not my first favorite but theirs just melts in your mouth. My Chicken Parmesan over fresh fettuccine was so good I had to force myself to stop. Their sauce ~ the most important part, was so flavorful I asked for extra. I havent been impressed by anyones sauce in forever. Their limoncello cake was very good. I should have gotten the tiramisu. Ill just have to go back..... ;)
