Came here for the first time in mid October, 2016. I had the chicken and waffles ($18) and my girlfriend had the raspberry "stuffed" french toast ($14). The chicken and waffles was extremely boring. The chicken was under seasoned and the fry was lacking and wet. However, the chicken was at least moist and super hot. The waffle was chewy and you almost had to pull it apart versus cut it. The waffle alone is $10. The maple syrup was also lacking flavor, might as well have used simple syrup. The overall color of the plate was a pale yellow and really needed a splash of color and a more golden fry/toast on the chicken and waffle. The "stuffed" french toast consists of two slices folded in half with the raspberry jam in the middle. It arrived with one flopped open and was not necessarily attractive. The plate was also cold. The raspberry jam tasted and had the consistency of jam from a jar, like Smuckers. I suspect it was not made in-house. The plate did not come with maple syrup. Overall, Morgans is overpriced and is lacking flavor and finesse in the kitchen. On the bright side, service was good.

Upon entering Morgans, we were greeted by the hostess who told us it would be a 45 minute wait. My party and I decided to go to the bar downstairs to get a drink while we waited. There were people seated at the bar, but after waiting around for a bartender to show up, we realized there wasnt one. We decided to ask a server for a drink. It took approximately 25 minutes from the time we ordered the drink until it was delivered to us. Our server never stated her name, simply asked us what we wanted to eat and we didnt see her again until AFTER we had finished our food. The service was extremely slow, the staff lacked teamwork and was very rude. When we asked for the check, our server took 15 minutes to deliver it to us. When we placed the card in the check holder, she glanced and walked away, aiming me to ask for someone who wasnt our server to cash our table out. The service was the worst I have experienced in my entire life, the food was sub-par, and I would never come back here. Dont waste your money.

5 stars for customer service. I read about their sticky buns and chicken and waffles so naturally, I wanted to order those items. Our waitress said they were out of sticky buns but had cinnamon buns. I said it was OK and then she told me they were out of waffles. However, she told me to hold on so she could check if they could have waffles ready before confirming it was a NO. She came back and said waffles could be ready in 10 minutes. 5 STARS! She didnt have to check to make sure but she was proactive in helping me out and was genuine about her efforts. THIS IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The rest of the staff helping clear tables and bringing dishes WERE ALSO AMAZING!!!! I enjoyed my chicken (no bones) but the waffle wasnt crispy so I was a bit disappointed in that. I also ordered a side of maple bacon which was truly bacon dipped in maple. It was extremely rich, tasty, but rich and maybe a tad too much. I wouldnt order this dish again but willing to try other ones. Had an amazing time regardless.

We went for Sunday Brunch for a friends birthday and the experience was pretty disappointing. Upon arrival we were told that our party of 7 would have to wait 45-60 minutes because all of the tables for large groups were already being used by people with reservations. However I was told that they only take reservations for groups of 8 or more. After waiting almost an hour (in 100 degree weather) and checking in with the hostess I was told "oh youre going to be waiting for a while" EXCUSE ME?! Why didnt they just say we cant accommodate you. So we finally get seated and get water and half of our glasses have random stuff floating in the water. I noticed that they just leave the pitchers outside in the open, gross. Our waiter was nice and tried to be as accommodating as he could be which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. The food was meh... good but not really worth waiting an hour and a half. Not impressed... They do have a lot of options if your vegetarian.

Ive been to Morgans twice now and while its just fine, I dont really get what all the hype is about. The first time I went I had to wait in line in the sun for over an hour. I expected to have an outstanding experience, but the service was just ok, I felt like Harry Potter because they sat us in the corner where the stairs are with constant foot traffic. I ordered the frittata and it was good but not great and frankly, a little dry. The second time I went with a group of people, so we called ahead and made a reservation - no waiting this time! They sat us in our own room upstairs which was great but the service was non-existent and whats worse is she literally kicked us out after just over an hour sitting there. If it wasnt for the chicken and waffles I ordered that tasted like God brought them down from Heaven and placed it on my dish himself I would be giving this restaurant only 1 star.

My sister wanted to surprise me yesterday by taking me to a great place for brunch. As it turned out, I absolutely loved everything about this hidden gem - Morgans Restaurant, located in the heart of the Wynwood, Midtown, Design District. Built in 1925 as a two story spacious family home, the structure has been transformed to house this wonderful restaurant, surrounded by nature, with trees and shrubbery, which only add to its bohemian-like ambiance. Given the option to sit indoors or outside in its lovely terrace, we chose the terrace in order to enjoy the beautiful weather. The service was outstanding and friendly. The food was phenomenal! Fresh ingredients and lovely presentation. The coffee - best Ive had in Miami in a very long time. I will be returning this morning with my spouse! Cant wait to show the place off!! Will be recommending it to all my friends.

This place is EXTREMELY OVER HYPED. The pictures on Instagrams are a physical representation of how everyone bandwagons and goes with the "hipster" trend. The place is small so the wait is ridiculous. I ordered the hyped up Waffles, where chicken is a separate charge and my chicken was fried too well and my waffle was average. The restaurant wasnt that pack, I work in a restaurant, I know what packed is, yet our drinks took forever. I server had thee most dirtiest nails that I have ever seen. I dont know if it was dye or something but it was gross, I wanted to leave but stayed for my friend. The French fries are a must have though, they are perfect, no sarcasm, thin with just the right amount of crisp. I gave 2 stars for the fries. If you are going for the "hype beast" Chicken and Waffles you are better off going to Kush in Wynwood, youll be better satisfied.

Liked it the first couple of times we came here but this last time was just okay. The food is good but the service is not. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks and to order food. Service staff wasnt very friendly. Waiters had no allergen information. High chair has no straps. Not vegetarian friendly- couldnt even get cheese on my omelet instead of a meat without paying $2 extra. Like I just wanted cheese... and the omelet was already $12.. Toast came hard and stale. Then they took my food away while I was attending to my baby (still sitting in my chair) without asking if I was done (which I wasnt yet.. still had 2 pancakes left...) or if I wanted to take it home. Just disappointing. Then the parking situation when youre leaving makes t almost impossible to leave because of double and triple parking.. probably wont be bringing our friends here anymore..
