Our son flys in from Germany after 2 years of being there and the first place he wants to go is here. So, we shall go here from the airport and be there for dinner tonight. Ill show him where the Ghost pepper sauce and habanero sauce is. Hes been here many times but didnt know about the Ghost pepper sauce. :) He loves good Mexican food as much the whole family. Plus this is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants and we live beachside. We go there at least every couple of weeks or so. The food is fantastic, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable. The waitresses we have had are always super fast in bringing us anything we ask for. Plus they have Ghost pepper sauce (Bhut jolokia) and this is the only place I know that has it. It is 9/10 on the hot scale and if you use too much you will regret it. They also have habanero sauce too which we mix with the ghost pepper sauce and the regular salsa that you get with chips. My eyes tear up from the mixture of sauces. They have no problem bringing you as much salsa as you want, which is a big plus for us. The hotter sauces are along the wall in the back left side of the restaurant. My wife and I have been eating Mexican food for over 30 years and we know a good place when we see one. This one is awesome; could not say enough good things about this restaurant.

This was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant. First, the hostess that sat us was extremely rude. There was 1 small dirty plate on the table and when she sat us I moved the plate to the edge and said the plate was dirty. She then said it was supposed to be there and grabbed 3 more from another table and literally slid them across the table then walked away. This should have been our first sign. Next our waiter seemed ok at first, except he never came back to see if we were ok or if we needed to get drinks. Offered us chips, but never actually brought them. We see him talking to people at the hostess stand and we over hear that he was cut for the night. Still doesnt come to check on us. We then just go to the bar and ask for refills on our drinks ourself. Food was cold and flavor wasnt even good. I will never go there again and I used to love coming here. I dont know what happened but somethings changed in the last few months. No wonder they were almost empty at 6:30 on a Saturday while every other restaurant has a line out the door nearby. Terrible service and mediocre food. Id rather have Taco Bell then this place.

We went there with our baby and toddler and were the first ones there for lunch. The hostess sat us in the corner in a booth that had about a foot clearance between the table and one bench. My husband is a skinny guy and he barely fit, so we asked to move. The waitress allowed us to move, then the hostess came back and told us we had to move back to the corner because thats the only place babies can sit. After we said we didnt want to sit in that tight space, she told us we could stay. After we had our drinks and chips, the manager came out and told us we had to move because of fire codes, and that hed move the benches aroun so we could fit in the other space. He was nice and helped us move our drinks and food. He also offered us free queso. I left to get something out of the car and the hostess introduced herself all over to me again like I was new. Lol... what? The food was ok. When we got our bill, not only did they charge us for the queso, but also charged for the second tea they brought me (without my asking) that I didnt even touch. Annoying and strange experience. Probably wont go back.

upon arrival my wife and i were impressed that the parking lot was full, which is always a good sign. our waitress was very polite and had our drinks at the table in no time, however, we waited 45min for our food which was very bland and expensive! Our waitress disappeared after bringing our food and we didnt see her again until she brought us our check. We arrived @ 6pm and finally was able to leave at 7:45! We did notice that the dining areas were for the most part empty. El Chicos must have paid people to park in their lot, or they were all across the street at Duffys? I recommend paying to see a movie, chances are youll at be entertained for the 2 hrs youll expect to be there!

Ordered chicken and mushroom enchiladas, queso and flower tortillas last night. Even though it was near completely dead, it took forever to get our food and refills for our drinks. Once the queso arrived at our table it was already coagulated from cooling off and the salsa was watery. When we received our entrees, the cheese on the outside of the enchiladas wasnt even melted as if it had been thrown on just before coming out after spending a period of time under a headlamp. Our waitress was nice but where the hell was she? We were her only table. In addition to the lousy unauthentic food, the cost was ridiculous compared to true Mexican restaurant s. We wont be back, even for free.

Absolutely HORRIBLE Food wasnt at all good NEVER got a refill on our drink PLUS our bill that was ONLY about $12 and we were charger $65!!!! This is RIDICULOUS our waitress didnt check on us at all plus over charger us. She rang up the WRONG TICKET TWICE!!!!!!! And it wasnt even busy maybe only 4 tables thats it! This was probably the WORST EXPERIENCE we have ever had eating out and its safe to say we will NEVER be back!!!! It deserves NO stars but thats not a choice Also hearing this place was busted for CREDIT CARD FRAUD! Now its more concerning why they "messed up"..... TWICE!!!! ! We just better get our money back!!

If I could give this place a zero I would, not sure if the people who own this place have ever had Mexican food before..our waitress was horrible to top it off full of attitude and didnt want to take the time to explain anything! Her name rhymes with gidget, on top of it WAY over priced food the drinks..drinks were also over priced and watered down..Save yourself the money .... no one wants to be treated like dirt ...and then get crappy food.. when they pay this much ..thanks for the boxed rice and unflavorved steak ..glad I payed so much for it next time Ill go to taco bell

I loved this place...very friendly and professional atmosphere and staff, waitress Jennifer had a great personality . Music was enjoyable, The food presentation was on point I loved how they hand poured soup table side......however food taste was off fajitas tasted old or spoiled, chicken was dry and tasted like it was from a can. Tamale was not good and tortillas were like paper not homemade ... rice was tasteless and garnish was not fresh and who puts mushroom and carrots in tortilla soup???? If this place had a better chef then it would be worth a return.
