My family and I had never heard of the place, so we went there with a groupon to try it out. I could have stayed at home to have a better, more delicious meal in a better, friendlier, more accommodating and peaceful atmosphere. The server/owner was a grunt-- an impatient woman from the moment we were seated. Because of this, we felt subdued and had difficulty ordering under her grudgy attitude. The food was served promptly, but food taste and presentation was shoddy and bland, perhaps because they put so much haste into preparation. The locale also lacks better color and decor as if done in a hurry. We have been to authentic Mexican cuisine restaurants before. Better places... This place is not it.

I order to go, enchiladas, tacos,and chile relleno,I dont know where this people get the recipe for the chille rellono, and also en MEXICO the tacos are made with home made corn tortilla, all the food was bad, I gave them a chance, I travei to MEXICO one or twice per year,so I know the real Mexican food,they claim that they serve authentic MEXICAN food, but that is no true , and I almost forget,prices O.M.G they charge you like a fine BISTRO WAY TO EXPENSIVE. :((

legitimately amazing,.. ask for the house hot salsa, its green and full of tomatillo, jalapeno and cilantro and really hot... so good on anything there.. the Carne Asada was the best ive ever had... we have eaten there twice in 3 days.. its family run and everything weve had is homemade and beyond good.. definitely where the locals go .. you wont be dissapointed..

The food was good but not the best in town. The reason for the low rating was the service; to use a credit card you have to spend at least $10 not including the tip this is unreasonable for having a lunch by yourself and to get the 5.99 lunch special you must buy a soft drink so you are not getting a 6$ lunch. It is more around 8.50. I will not be going back.

Good food, quick and friendly service, and good deals via Groupon. The Margaritas arent strong, but they are pretty tasty. I cant recommend the carne asada though. Ive had a number of entrees here that were all pretty good, but I couldnt eat the carne asada. Im not sure if it was low quality beef or if it was old, but it tasted and smelled not ok.

This FOOD is AMAZING and fresh and the service is friendly and lightening fast. I am not sure why some of these reviews are so hateful regarding a credit card limit. If its a problem to spend $10 when you go out to eat, then bring cash! We have had many authentic Mexican dishes here and it is definitely one of our favorites in Melbourne!!

Love the high ceilings! My husband loves Mexican food. I like it, too, but dont like leaving one smelling of what I ate. No problems like that at El Indio. Bathrooms were clean. Service was super pleasant and fast. I had the chile rellenos and my husband had the burrito special--both VERY good.

This place provides an interesting mix of food styles. Greek, Mexican, American, and Italian. I would recommend sticking to the Mexican, with the other styles not being the house specialty. Nice for a quick bite, and reasonably priced.

Horrible. Worst customer service in town. At least people are friendly at Taco Bell or the Flats. Disrespectful almost to the point of "no speak Mexican " racism They just want your money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

El Indio is a great restaurant, especially for work lunches. They are consistently quick, inexpensive (plus have lunch specials), and have delicious food. I recommend the enchiladas and the steak fajita burrito.

Im a lunchtime regular. El Indio send to be a Mom and Pop organization. Food ranges from good to very good. Service is quick and usually friendly. Friends that I have brought along seem to concur.

Excellent food. Diverse menu with Greek, Italian and American food from appetizers to full dinner entrees. Sangria, margaritas, and beer. Clean quirky atmosphere. Fast service. Friendly staff.

The Carne Al Pastor was very, very good. The other people in our party enjoyed their dinners as well. Just skip the "Queso sticks". And the service was great. Definitely check this place out.
