Food was mediocre at best but service was inexcusably horrible. Resturant was a little over half full and it still took over 15 min just to bring coffee. When we got them they were in papercups with lids. "Not sure why since we were dining in". My daughter ordered a hot chocolate. Thank god i checked the temp before giving it to her. Boiling hot and the lid was never put on correctly. I found out when almost a full cup boiling hot coco ended up down my chest and lap. I know accidents happen .. my complaint isnt even that they didnt care enough to put the lid on right before handing a hot beverage to a child. Accidents happen.. my COMPLAINT is that there was ZERO accountability from our waitress or even acknowledgement from the manager who never even came to check on us.. no discount, no apologie, nothing. ....if these burns were on my daughter instead of me there would have been major problems.. If you want to spend 60 bucks on breakfast, i dont think asking for a few mugs and a little accountability is unreasonable. If you care anything at all about the level of service that comes with your food, go elsewhere..

The food was good but not worth the price. If you want exactly what is on the menu with nothing added the price isnt bad. A large orange juice was 4.95. If you want an omlet you get one side and three topings. If you want anything extra it is a dollar per extra topping. If you want blueberries on your waffle that will be an extra two dollars. Beware of what you order. We were told the price difference was because if you go to First Watch they microwave your food. Im not sure that is accurate. They also said they separate their utensils for food preparation. I may be mistaken but I thought this was required for food safety. The menu is also misleading make sure you look closely at the menu and ask questions. They are locally sourced gluten free but I am not sure it is worth this. It was 72 dollars for a family of 3 with a mediocre tip. If you ask them about it they will tell you maybe this isnt the place for you.

Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy!!! (And gluten free waffles, gluten free toast, gluten free pastries). Liberty cafe is your mom and pop, gourmet house roasted coffee house that caters to gluten free. Of course, the also have full gluten items. I come here often for things like the Baffle Sandwich (bacon waffle used as the bun of a breakfast sandwich) or Chicken and Waffles (yes - you can get gluten free chicken and waffles). This morning, I was hankering for biscuits and gravy. After an exhaustive search for gluten free biscuits and gravy anywhere in Tampa, I gave up and went to my trusty favorite, Liberty. I mentioned this to my server (they are all amazing there) and he told me that they have a bread substitute for the biscuits, and their gravy is always gluten free! I was leery, but I tried it. Oh my goodness it was delicious! This place is a gem!

I was hoping they could keep up with the quality of Hatties. Wow, was I disappointed! My first trip, I ordered their special NY Egg sandwich. It was a runny egg with a piece of cheese from plastic wrap, and a burnt hamburger bun. Maybe it was just a one time thing, so I went back a week later. This time I ordered scrambled eggs. They were burnt, and the home fries were as hard as rocks. Two of the staff were outside smoking cigarettes, and one of the staff was inside eating McDonalds food. I asked my waitress what type and kind of coffee they have, and she told me small, medium, and large. The redesign is terrible, when sitting at the side chairs your knees dont fit under the table. The tables and floor were not clean and the bathroom was as horrible as the food. Its amazing to me how someone can take a successful restaurant and totally screw it up.

Waiting at the counter for about 3 to 4 minutes finally got addressed. I asked for a cinnamon bun only to be informed that they were waiting on a truck in a day or two. Sadly I wont be back. Looks like someone could have gone to a local grocery store to purchase ingredients. Place looks very disorganized cart with condiments is outside with roof water dripping on the products that customers are using. Cable locks were also draped over the cart. I used to come here when in town but sadly I wont be back. Looks like either bad management or a lack of it.

This café is new and is a remodel of the old Hatties café that was in this location. The atmosphere is different than that of Hatties so dont go in expecting it to be the same. It is a new owner as the old owner who was my friend died. They really upgraded the gluten free options on the menu. And they are always looking to please everyone. The food is amazing especially the gluten free waffles. And for those of you who did go to Hatties they do still have the Hatties nest egg sandwich and now they will even try and make it on gluten free bread.

Awesome experience friendly staff and amazing gluten-free menu. The coffee is perfect as well. The waffle sandwiches are an amazing blend of flavors, and the salads are huge for the price. I would have to say this is our new favorite place especially since it is so hard to find gluten-free that tastes good at most restaurants. Just promise me youll try it at least once! You definitely wont be disappointed.

This is not the old Hatties as the owner died and new people took over. But the food is great and I like that its all natural healthy and gluten-free! And the coffee is all fresh roasted and really good! Its busy here, the service is good, the people are nice, and I even got to meet the owners and talk with them - theyre really nice! Great place for breakfast and lunch! And you can bring your dog!

I have severe gluten and dairy allergies and I was able to eat here no problem! The staff was very knowledgable- they cook gluten free in a separate place and even have a dedicated gluten free toaster. I had and egg and ham breakfast sandwich with home fries. I waited a day before reviewing to make sure I didnt feel sick. Im so excited to have a safe local place for brunch!

LOVE this cafe/bistro! Lots of gluten free and all natural options. AWESOME fresh roasted coffee! Tip: Running low on your phone battery or need to plug in? Need to have a working breakfast or lunch? Sit on the right at the high top tables. They have USB and AC plugs. Awesome feature!
