Had a hair in my shrimp and grits. Didnt mind, because I understand accidents happen. Waitress didnt apologize or do anything other than huff and pick up my plate and walk off. When it came back, I could tell the shrimp were definitely previously frozen, despite the selling point of this restaurant being fresh seafood. Service was less than average. And the fact that its inside a shopping mall is really off-putting. Ill give them another try in a month or so and rewrite my review if its improved. EDIT 2: Gave them another shot (9 months later). Not much has changed. Im curious about the other reviewers and how theyve maintained such a stellar rating. Im not saying its a bad restaurant... just not better than other options around town. No hair in food this time, but definitely the same weak service as before. And food came out at about room-temperature. So I wont be changing my rating.

I dont even know where to begin when describing this "diamond in the rough". Just getting there requires you to go through a run down mall that looks like it was the set of a Saw Movie (Im actually going to look up who makes the movies and recommend the location). I wish I could say that the restaurant looked any better. Then comes the service, wow, they couldnt figure out how to give customers a clean menu, or laminate paper. It was gross to even look at. Then they couldnt figure out how to make a scallop dinner and insisted that it was an appetizer. They had us wait and wait and all we could do was look at the peeling purple paint and fake New Orleans decorations that would offend anyone that even had an interest In Cajun culture, much less someone from New Orleans. The place was empty, I could see why. We had to leave. Horrible.

OMG! Please dont let the fact that is in a older Mall discourage you from going...I promise you wont be disappointed! I had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer...wow Then I had the the fried blue crab claws; they were so good that I didnt even need the sauce that came with them! I was torn between the grilled catfish and their steamed shrimp. Went with the steam shrimp....Lawd have mercy!!! The spicy beer and butter sauce was just off the chain and the warm bread to dip in the sauce...you will hurt yourself. My waitress was simply awesome. She was attentive and open; just what youre looking for when its a new experience. No I didnt finish the shrimp, brought some back to my hotel room...along with an amaretto bread pudding....and I sampled a slice....danger, watch youre self...danger! i.e. that means dangerously delicious!!

To say this Restaurant is good is an understatement. There is really no word in any language to describe how good the food is here. The staff and the owner are very attentive and polite. They work their backsides off at this restaurant to make this the best experience possible. You totally forget you are in the mall. The food is really just to die for here. Oh and if you get the chance to try the beignets please do. They only way I can describe them is it is like having a whole lot of awesome and a whole lot of heaven all at once. This it not the kind of restaurant that turns and burns tables. So just sit down and enjoy one of the most fantastic meals you are gonna have. All we can say to the Owner and Staff is THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. You were the answer to our wishes for a great restaurant.

There are few places that can do what this restaurant does! My husband and I have been a chef for over 15 years and we have worked in fine dining restaurants all around the country. This little "hole in the wall" is the real deal! There menu is well composed, flavored are spot on and you can honestly taste the love in their food and service!! We will most definitely come back for the FRESH seafood including the hard to source crawfish, most restaurants use that frozen crap from China but not this place. Also, I do want to note that the owners are absolutely amazing and were truly born to do what they do....... Extremely refreshing, totally amazing and worth a 2 hour drive any day of the week for us!!!!

When I was first told of this restaurant, I was thinking food court style food because its located in the mall. I had scallops during scallop season and they were really good. Lots of the food this restaurant serves is locally sourced and fresh. I have literally seen them preparing the live blue crab. The only "negative" thing I have to say is that their beer selection is not very good at all. But that doesnt deter me from eating at Seafood Seller & Cafe every time Im in Crystal River. My favorite item off of the menu is the fish tacos. Most restaurants overfill the tortillas with tons of lettuce, tomato and other fillers but not here- the fish is in the spotlight and it always tastes good.

Ok. Its inside a mall. We found the easiest way to get to it was go through the bac entrance next to Kmart. Hang a left towards the movie theater and you will see it on the right. Being a bonified foodie and everyone raving about the grouper I had to try it. We started with fried green green tomatoes. Being the good southern girl I am, Ive eaten plenty. Learned how to make them from my auntie. These were different but very good.I loved my Grouper sandwich and the toppings. I loved my hush puppies. My husband loved his sandwich and corn melody. I drove 2 hours to get there and I will do it again.

Food was ok, service was slow. My husband liked his mahi dinner, my grouper sandwich was lack luster. The blue crab ball appetizer was good with the dipping sauce they give you. Never got drink refills and asked for ketchup and tarter sauce to not get them until flagging down and asking another server. We are patient people I can assure you we waited 10 min. until flagging another server down. When we were done we waited another 10 min. after being told we would be given the bill. Dont be in a hurry if you go here. I tip according to service and it just wasnt there on our visit.

My boyfriend and I were craving good quality and fresh seafood, we saw the reviews for seafood cafe and decided to try it out. Upon arrival we were almost turned away by the fact its within the Kmart shopping mall. Glad we didnt! Staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. We had the Grouper sandwich blackened and the gator sausage sandwich. We didnt leave a crumb. Zero complaints, you wont be sorry. Prices are typical of seafood prices and availability. Pride in ownership shown.

We are so very lucky to have a place like this in our area , our family spends a lot of time in New Orleans and we know where the best spots are. The fresh Cajun Sea food here is about as authentic as you can get anywhere. The owner works very hard to entertain you and still provide a great place to eat for the whole family. Even the staff is pleasent, I take everyone to this restaurant and they all love the place. Even took my wife there for our anniversary.
