I am utterly baffled why this place has so many positive reviews. That was one of the worst meals I have ever had in my life, not even taking into consideration that I can name half a dozen other places in Orlando that do authentic Mexican food better and cheaper. I got the carne asada tacos and the meat was way, way, way overcooked, flavorless, dry, and ice cold. I guess they must cook it in bulk and just leave it sitting in the fridge for when orders come (this was during the regular lunch hour so I was expecting fresh, hot food, not day old meat). My husbands burrito was also flavorless and 90% rice. I have heard nothing but rave reviews of this place since it opened which I can only assume is due to its close proximity to alcohol ... maybe people are only eating there while drunk. The service was also completely horrible. I made it clear to the guy taking my order that it was my first time there and he made no recommendations and would barely look up from his cell phone. When he brought us our food outside, he didnt bring napkins, so I had to get up and walk back inside to get napkins. Also, he just had a really rude and unfriendly demeanor. Please save yourself and do not trust these high reviews. They are lies.

The staff was excellent, knowledgeable of the menu and was quick to help customers. The environment is very nice as well. Other than that, I can think of many better place for food than this. I got the pulled pork burrito, and even though it was nicely wrapped, the food was bland and cold. It was not mixed well (or at all) prior to folding, and since it is so huge, you never get a good bite! You get warm, plain rice, and then room temperature pork afterwards on the other side. The Wako Tako was probably the most flavorful thing I had. There were 2 sauces to choose from, mild and hot. The hot was not hot at all, it was a little tangy. The mild was just very sweet, wasnt a fan of that one too much. I think this place will benefit from the brewery it is connected with to drive business, but if you are expecting amazing flavorful food, this might not be the place. Having that said, I wouldnt rule it out completely. Nothing that I had was gross or anything, its just for the price they charge.... in comparison to equivalent restaurants, it doesnt hold up.

Nit sure if we hit the place on a bad night, but I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. We went on the recommendations of multiple friends, and regretted it immediately. The good: friendly staff, helpful, good atmosphere, definitely clean. The ingredients were fresh. The mediocre: happened to be out of what I wanted (but hey... That happens, and is not enough to get knocked down. Ive worked food service. IT HAPPENS.) The bad: spent $26 for a chimichanga, nachos, and drinks. The nachos were 3/4 chips, there was very little cheese, and almost no chicken on the dish. The chimichanga was cooked at too high a temperature for too short a time. The tortilla was nearly burnt, the beans lukewarm at best, and the cheese still cold, never mind melted. The pork left a puddle of grease on the table where it dripped onto the table when it was set down (before I took a bite). The first bite of it I took was nothing but fat. I was able to eat 3 or 4 bites before the urge to throw up hit.

I visited Wako Taco on the recommendation of a friend and it did not live up to the hype for me. After my first visit my friend told me that they have the best chimichanga, but I disliked my food so much that I wont be returning to find out. I ordered the steak nachos, and felt that they were bland and uninspired. There was almost no taste to them until you got to the bottom, where all the salt from the chips and the spicy sauce (that I wish would have coated the entire dish evenly) gathered. My boyfriend ordered a couple other menu items and was equally unimpressed. While I feel that Wako Taco will continue to get frequent business due to its proximity to Hourglass Brewery, I dont recommend the food, especially not for the prices they charge. Save your money and walk over to Papa Bees two doors down for some wings.

This place is absolutely amazing! It is one of the nicest/ friendliest staff Ive had the pleasure of meeting. The store and kitchen were extremely clean which is the first thing I look for when I walk into a place. I chose the 3 taco meal with 3 different shells. Every bite was phenomenal and i even liked their optiinal side sauces which ae made made fresh daily. Since I was dining alone and didnt have my nose buried in my phone one of the employees, Ron, came over to keep me company and a very respectful manner. Ive learned how much care goes into their food, about their lunch specials during the week, and some history about the restaurant in how they transitioned from a food truck. It was a lovely conversation to go along with a great meal. I will be back very soon.

This is easily one of my most favorite places to eat! They make burritos, tacos, nachos, and others foods of that nature. They even have ice cream tacos! I suggest getting the pork as your meat for whatever item you choose. It marinated in a delicious sauce and is tender and juicy. They also have hot and mild sauces they make in house for you to put on your food. They also have fruit sodas and drinks and if that doesnt sound like the right beverage for you there is a door in the wall that lets you walk right into the Hourglass Brewery. You can even sit in the brewery and enjoy a beer while you wait for your food to be made and they will bring it to you when it ready. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I was working next door at the brewery and these guys brought me a vegetarian chimichanga just to show it off.. to be honest I want expecting much, but it was a HUGE portion and sooo freakin good! All the veggies were ripe and fresh and it was cooked to crispy, gooey perfection. Best mexican food Ive had the whole year Ive lived in Orlando, and Im really picky having lived 20 mins from TJ for 10 years! PS, I recommend the HOT hot sauce. Legit. ;)

I eat hear semi-regularly, and it is usually great. I Just got a job arround the corner and grab a burrito to go after 8 hours of working in the sun, figuring I would treat myself. Well I get home and the thing is almost Entirely rice. A few bits of meat at one end, one bite in the middle, and a little at the other end. I have gotten more meat on single taco there before. I just paid $11 for a pound and a half of rice... Not happy.

Holy Guacamole! Best Damn Burritos & Chimichangas! So fresh. So delicious. Cant wait to get back. Fast service. EXTREMELY POLITE! High quality. I am very impressed. I live in Orlando and work nearby, but it is way worth the drive. I just saw on the FB page how their Wako Taco is made. Being a Vegetarian I am getting it next. Also their Hot Sauce is a perfectly balanced Heat & Flavor. Hoping they are in business a long time!
