Man I have to come to this place at least once a month. I would come once a week if it werent about a 30 mile drive for me. The stone pot bowls, korean bbq, and giant spicy soup bowls these guys have are just fantastic. And the service is always excellent, the food is hot, spicy, and super flavorful. We moved from Atlanta and I had an old korean room mate in college so I lived on Korean for few years. Being in south florida, It took me several years to find this place and its hands down the best Korean in south florida. Their menu is awesome and they have hot and cold dishes. The korean style small plates they bring out with the food is aweseome. Comparatively I go to a few other places that kinda skimp on the dishes and thats really what makes the whole korean food experience in my opinion. This place is always packed out but they move people along and the food is spot on perfect everytime. Last time we did the Korean bbq we did the calamari and cooked it on the coal fire ourselves. Wow it was amazing! I only give these guys less than 5 stars because I have eaten some of the best korean in the usa in other cities. These guys are up there on par with some of the best. One thing I really like, is that the young owner of the restaurant or he may be the manager is always extremely nice, helpeful and he goes out of his way to come to every table, talk to you and asks you how your meal was. I will go here until the day I die! Also, they have some of the more private lower tables in the back that have a nice asian style shade blocking the view. It is really nice to take a date or your wife for a romantic evening or get something more personal for the family. On weekends call in advance for the bbq tables. It gets really busy. Also I never satisfied my korean fix in 7 years of living down here until i found this place.

Take it from someone whos lived in Korea for 8 years. This is the BEST Korean BBQ Ive EVER had. Period. One of the things I missed from my childhood was going to the Korean restaurants (in Korea) taking off my shoes, stepping up onto a stage like area, walking through rice paper doors, sitting on cushions, and eating the from the massive selection of food presented to me. The tables would host a center stove that allowed us to cook the meats on our own. At Gabose, you wont have to take off your shoes, youll be dining at regular tables. However, the food makes up for any lost authenticity. The food is absolutely amazing. Specifically the BBQ. We had marinated beef and marinated pork. The beef was my favorite. The coals add a nice flavor that you cant get from any other method of cooking. They also presented us with the traditional spread of kimchi, fish cakes, peppers, garlic, soybean sauce, lettuce, etc...its all there. I highly recommend it, and if youve never had Korean BBQ before, you absolutely must try it! Some of the foods like kimchi will be an acquired taste, but the main dishes will hit very close to home (think American sweet BBQ). The service was great. I had a nice conversation with our waitress who was also Korean and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. Korean food made and run by Koreans...it doesnt get much more authentic than that.

I would have loved to give a 5 star because Ive been coming to this restaurant for 4 years and have always received excellent food and service UNTIL TODAY!! Usually we see the owner of the restaurant and he is nothing but nice and accommodating but today he wasnt there and neither was the customer service! We ordered our appetizer and entrees at once, as we always do. I noticed the table next to us who was rounding up their dinner got our appetizer but, I didnt jump to conclusions. Until our entrees came out and no app. We asked for the apps nicely and we were told it was coming, now were half way through our meal and have to ask for it again. Then we finished our meal and still no app our waiter offers to bring it complementary and we agreed. Then brings a pancake without seafood when we ordered one with seafood. If you were going to try and make it right by giving the item complementary, why insult us by giving us something cheaper than what we intended on PAYING for! We didnt go through all that trouble to have it for free, we just wanted what we ordered and would have gladly paid for it!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Florida and the best Korean restaurat I have been to including those in NY and New England. Why? There are two primary reasons. The first is that unlike any other Korean restaurant that I have ever been to, this restaurant gives you the option to cook your food over wood charcoal at 8 of their 30 or so tables. The marinated boneless beef BBQ is one of the best dishes that I have ever eaten. It is served with rice and about a dozen condiments ranging from potato salad to seaweed to jalapeno peppers. Of course, at least one variety of Kimchi is always included. The second reason that I love this restaurant is that everything is freshly prepared by the staff - no frozen dumplings or other mass-produced items that you are likely to find at most Asian restaurants in Florida. The owners take the time and spend the money to prepare just about everything themselves (although they do sell soda from one of the well known US producers. LOL) This is GREAT Asian cuisine in a part of the country that is not known for great Asian cuisine. I love it!

This is my favorite restaurant. Here are my main reasons: 1. The food is delicious, dishes are balanced in flavor. I have not had one thing I did not love. In fact I could mention several that I can eat every day. 2. The people who work there are great. Every time I go here I am treated like family. Since the first time I came here and on. They treat my daughter like an angel. Which leads me to my next point; 3. They are very kid friendly... I lost a baby spoon here and they found it and held onto it for two weeks and gave it back to me. 4. If the menu choices seem large, ask them for advice; You will not be let down in their understanding of the menu and the ability to find you something delicious. 5. They will change dishes to suit your needs. 6. Among the many delicious things, I highly recommend the charcoal barbeque. It is amazing. Recommendations: Kimchi chigae (soup) Kimchi jeyuk bokum (mixed dish) Yukejang (soup) Dolsot bimbimbop (rice dish) Deaji Bulgogi (pork bbq) Those are just SOME of the amazing things I personally recommend. Enjoy

I understand that there is very limited Korean food in South Florida, but that does not mean that you need to skip out on quality. Hailing from Dallas, Texas where the Korean community is booming -the food barely compares. I gave this place multiple chances, but the mediocre food and high price makes this place seem like they are taking advantage of the Korean food hype now-a-days to mark-up prices. I got sick after eating their 소고기 순두부 (beef tofu soup) with a rough dinner service for a party of 10 (however, service is usually good). Honestly, their Korean BBQ a la carte (~$20 per dish) is about 9oz of meat. Given that it has the best quality of KBBQ I have had so far in S.FL, the price is almost like you are buying the experience rather than to fill your stomach. If it is your first time getting Korean food, the experience is completely valid. I just hope one day you can experience the simple, hearty, and flavorful meals that the rest of the US is falling in love with somewhere else in the future. p.s. please try something else other than bibimbap.
