The food was delicious but the service was outstanding. Our server, Tiffany, was having a bad day & a bit stressed out but she never once let it effect her ability to perform her job with a smile on her face. You see, like most of us, Tiffanys babysitter bailed on her today, so Tiffany had two choices: either bring her 4 year old to work to provide for her child & herself (a single mother) or stay home, leave the restaurant short-staffed and miss her money. She is a great mother. She clearly has an understanding boss. Her manager came by our table & asked if all was ok, and we told her that Tiffanys little boy was the highlight of our lunch. Im a former pre-K teacher so 4 year olds are my personal specialty. We were all talking to the little boy, and interested in him, which in turn made him interested in us, and I think for a moment, it made Tiffany nervous, but who hasnt been there in that same position of stuck between a rock & a hard place. If you want to support a restaurant who has great food, and also appreciates their staff, and encourages their staff to keep going strong-even on their less than perfect days...then definitely patronize this restaurant & these good people of Lake City, FL. We enjoyed the Italian feast & the Cheesesteak sandwich & Greek salads. Everything was fresh & delicous, but the highlight was meeting Tiffanys little boy. He made our lunch enjoyable. I will go back there again, and I will definitely ask for Tiffany. She works every day but Monday. If you want great service w/ a beautiful smile, ask for this single mom, Tiffany, who has a heart of gold & knows how to wait tables with efficiency & grace under pressure.

Great Italian (for Florida) with large portions. There is a lunch menu for those watching their money. Only down side is Pepsi products so its tea or water time. As you walk in the patron is greeted by a a large display of fantastic deserts that will leave you eating sparingly so you can fit in a piece of cake. Even the desert serving sizes are huge! I had the cannelloni lunch special with a slice of M&M covered chocolate cake as desert. Th cannelloni was excellent. The sauce isnt thin or overly thick, its middle of the road perfect. The meal include bread sticks with red sauce to dip into. We werent finished with the first two baskets when two more baskets were brought out. Each of the plates served (lasagna, ravioli, cannelloni and eggplant) were so large we had to take extra home. I went slow and savored my meal because the cannelloni was very good... and because it was served out of the oven and poured out enough steam to run an old time train for a couple miles. If youre in the area and want good food at moderate prices then Gonolier PIzza is the place to go.

OMG! I have never had such a nice experience... I am a server by trade and my server was the best...although she (Brianna) awesome Charlene the bar tender sold everything... She seated us because the manager and servers were busy.. We were given perfect timin to get settled in and Charlene can over to explain that she enjoyed playing with alcohol and would help us with all the alcohol beverages... I explained to her I wanted something tropical, sweet and frozen and she hooked it up... The drink she officially named the SuZn Delight and it was just that... I loved it and could have spent the rest of the night drinking them... The food was delicious.. I had the chicken and spinoch cantelonni... AMAZING! My husband worked in lake city that day and drove 50 ish miles to come home and get us ( the family) and bring us back... He spoke with Carlos the manager at lunch time and Carlos encouraged him to come back... It was well worth the 100 ish mile drive... Service was great and the food was outstanding! I give this particular restraunt two thumbs up... A high five... Cheers...

Every time I come here I have good service an the food is always fresh an good tasting an big portions. They have lunch specials under $.9.95 an theres alot to eat, we end up getting to go boxes as theres so much food left. Theres a full bar to an plenty of seating. They also make homemade Italian cakes an cheesecakes they are to die for. Yummy! This place has a old Italian charm to go with it. Back again theres also Greek specialities served here also..Free dessert is served with the lunch specials...Its beautifully authentic decor an good Italian music playing. Theres many outside tables under a covered patio with ceiling fans. The servers an waiters are on there game.. Its in right near the mall by taco Bell an has plenty of parking.

I dont understand why people dont talk about this place more. The food is fresh, affordable, and the service has always been very good. Also, they have a varied and refreshing draft selection and menu. I honestly may try to catch an NFL game one of these upcoming Sundays because the TVs usually always have sports playing live. Ive been to this location multiple times and have never had a bad experience. I look forward to my next visit very soon because I just had lunch here today at around noon and ALL my food was on my table within 10 minutes. My server Hunter was prompt, polite, was very knowledgeable and easy going. Very well done, Gondolier.

My husband got the NY Strip portobello, and there was not portobello mushrooms in it. The sauce was so over powering with rosemary that you couldnt taste the steak. I got the chicken Alfredo & the alfredo was extremely watery and tasted like it was missing something. I have came here several times for lunch and pizza and they were very good. So I was very disappointed with the dinner, I expected it to be better. If you want Italian food go to Olive Garden with their frozen meals cause it tastes better than this place. I just want somewhere that has FRESH Italian food, it that too much to ask.

Everything weve tried has been delicious. I like lasagna and it was so good I cant even describe it. We mentioned it was my sisters birthday and we told my sister to pick out a dessert. We talked and our server answered our questions. My sister had mentioned she likes cheesecake. Our server brought a huge slice of cheesecake with chocolate on top to our table in a to go box. She said no charge and happy birthday. We have been treated wonderfully by all of the staff and the meals have all been excellent.

We had a large group - 20 people, kids and adults - and we were all well taken care of. Well attended. The food was great! Authentic Greek and Italian menu and we had just about everything. Very large portions. Unfortunately, no one had room for any of cakes or other delicious looking desserts that greet you when you come in the door. I will probably go back just for a slice of the chocolate and fudge cake. If you just want to drink there is a full service bar and plenty of tvs.

My mothers day was perfect at the Gondolier. The food was on point , we even made it to a point to thanking the owner for a wonderful evening . The waiter was supreme ! . We were so impressed we told the manager and owner. My only negative the host and same woman running the front register acted like a snob wearing a gallon of Makeup . But I did not let that ruin the food it was fantastic ! Thank you.
