Visited here last night, my wife and i fancied some bbq food and this place had pretty good reviews and wasnt far from us. From the entrance to the menu it was all appealing to us .... until we ordered the "combo meal" After ordering our selected combos we were informed the beef brisket had run out, so we changed it for smoked chicken, it took them 10 mins to tell us that had also run out... anouther 15 minutes past and the waiter came along with a few ribs and chips (no garlic bread or broccolli as ordered) said that this will keep you going as were waiting [anouther] 15 mins for the full rack (which we were forced to order as everything else had gone) ... fair enough but then anouther 20 mins past and finally a full rack chopped in half came our way (yet we still had to prompt the broccolli and garlic bread <---which the latter we never recieved) COLD FRICKEN COLD RIBS couldnt believe it and that was the nail in the coffin. Fortunately for there service sake (earning 1 star) the manager did come over and hear out the whole ordeal and apologised also "looked after the food bill for us" but after that experience still charged us the drinks ?? I think the place has got great potential but the chefs and waiters need addressing otherwise it will turn into a downward slop at smokey bones!!

This was by far the most horrible food experience I have had in a while. We were a party of 15 which should not have been a challenge for the restaurant at all. However, it apparently was. Our food was burned to the point I couldnt even eat my ribs or the chicken. We ordered a drink that was supposedly triple rum, but it tasted more like a lemonade with melted ice and no alcohol in it. I could go on and on but I must tell you the worst part of it all. We all had various complaints so the waiter sent the manager over. Since we were a large party of 15, the tip was automatically added to the bill. To "compensate" us for our horrible experience, he discounted our tickets by 20% which was the equivalent of him taking the automatic tip off the bill. He probably didnt think we were intelligent enough to figure that out, but we figured it out immediately. Our solution was to not leave a tip. The waiter kept giving us lame excuses for the service we received. Tip: if you want a good tip, provide the same level of care and service to all patrons. Dr. Lattimore

This is the 6th year in a row we have been to this part of Florida and we absolutely MUST go to smokey bones every time. The whole place has so many good things about it - the atmosphere is great, basically a sports bar crossed with a family restaurant but a hundred times better. The food is AMAZING, such great variety, all perfectly cooked and just so tasty. The drinks are good too, huge range of wines, beers, cocktails; again, so tasty. Weve been served by loads of people at Smokey Bones before but this time we were served by Jessica, and she remembered us even though we hadnt been there in well over a year! I cannot express enough what a fantastic lady she is. She was so attentive to our every need, found ways to make our orders better and more suited to us, was so entertaining and funny and made every second feel so personal. This place is already amazing as it is but she made it even better for us, a true asset to the restaurant and worth her weight in gold!

I came here to treat my family to a nice dinner but our server Jessica had a hostile attitude during the whole course of the evening we were there. She made my family uncomfortable during the whole meal, also making comments about how she "officially hates her life". Very unprofessional. I dont remember very well if Jessica was her name, she also used the card scanner from another table, but she was a blonde caucasian. On our way out she asked me if "everything was alright?", I told her "yes" as to avoid confrontation since we just wanted to leave immediately. As we were on our way out we overheard her saying "if the service was alright why would he give me only $9 dollars", that was just unbelievable, I actually regreted leaving a tip at all and spending +$80 at this place. This is the second bad experience we have had in the location, we will no longer be back here, this was just too much.

We decided on this as our last dinner before leaving town, BIG mistake. We ordered drinks and the sprite had a problem, had no flavor so we asked for sweat tea instead. The waiter apparently forgot as he walked around servicing everyone else and still no drink. We ordered potato soup and it was delivered warm at best and still no drink. When we got our meal they did not bring silverware and we had to go looking for silverware. We had to ask for the drink as he apparently forgot to bring it. The only time we had the attention of the waiter was at the end of the meal and he was explaining the game cards they were giving out.Sorry we wont be back so no need for game pieces. You should have given us this attention as we were getting our meal and not make us chase our silverware and drinks. If you want real barbecue and great service try Mannys chop house in Haines City. Worth the ride.

Heerlijk gegeten. Vriendelijk personeel.

We got food to go and we are definitely disappointed. Never been here before and wont be back for sure. The website should have been a clue when it wouldnt order properly but I was really in the mood for some good bbq. Apparently...good bbq is just found at Famous Daves. We got three dinners and it cost 55 dollars. Got back to the house and while they give you giant bags and big boxes, the food takes up 1/4 of the box space. The food is good... just not worth 55 bucks. The wings were burnt. We asked for blue cheese but it was not in the bag. We asked for butter for two entrees and apparently a teapson in one container is good enough for these guys. Just not a good place to go...at least for a to-go order. Might be better as a sit down. Disappointed...

Just had a great meal at Smokey Bones. Excellent food and service here. We went in, had 1/2 a beer, and were seated within the time that was promised. The plates were hot, ribs cooked perfectly, with a pink smoke ring the way it should be. The sides (I had beans and slaw) were perfect. The pulled pork was moist. The place was packed, but still the food came out on time, and there was no compromise on quality just because it was packed. Tons of hustle in the kitchen to get it done. Our server was polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and smiled. She came by a couple time during the meal. I give this place, the staff (and the management) a big thumbs up.
