I will not be spending any money at this rude business, you would think because of the high rating and title "best barbeque" in town it would fit and stand for just that but its far from the best. I visted tonight and was highly disappointed i sat in the drive thru line for 20 mins and not one car had moved up so i decided to go inside, everyone inside had an attitude INCLUDING the rude old lady standing directly at the counter just staring at the line in front of her saying not a word. She eventually says all we have is chicken, i asked her how long is the wait on ribs? She ignored me i asked her twice more and was ignored again. She walks to the back comes back and says 45mins rudely as if i insulted her. I will not be going back here, the customer service is piss poor and not very worth it. I didnt even get to try the food but if the customer service is like this I dont care about the highly rated ribs and chicken.

I will never come back to this crap hole again. I had been there several years ago and really enjoyed the food. I went in today, myself and my husband. There was only one other patron. The service was terrible, as if they didnt even care if I ate there or not. I asked the cashier if the potatoe salad had onion and she didnt respond. I then asked the cook who was looking directly in my eyes the same question. He didnt respond either. I asked the question again and was ignored again. Finally I just ordered 2 pork on a bun and 2 sides and the cashier walked away without saying a word. How can you support local businesses when you get treated like crap. I dont even think the fact that I am Puerto Rican and my husband is white had anything to do with the horrible service. I think these people just dont give a damn. Its a shame that one of the best bar-b-que restaurants in Jacksonville has completely become a dump.

Im not impressed, I ate at a lot of bbq spot, and I dont know anybody in there so Im not being bias. I order fries, corn nuggets and a rib sandwich, cause I couldnt order a beef on a bun, to go. Almost all the places I had a rib sandwich at, most of the time it made with cut up rib meat, but I get a half a slab, bone in,had more sauce than meat and to pieces of white bread on top and bottom of the ribs. The fries I got was covered with sauce, which I didnt ask for. So far the only thing I had the wasnt covered in was the corn nuggets. I found this to be lazy, shows no pride in ur food, and I dont think Ill be visiting the other locations.

Will not spend my hard earn money there anymore. No refund and exhanges the old lady told me to read the sign...we try to panel our black business, however, its not right when they are giving nasty old product away to customer. I order 1 whole chicken and a half a chicken, the chicken tasted was burnt and dried out. Why treat people this why. Well what I learn is that well dont have to build these nasty people wealth up. When they dont care about us. Theres no quality when it comes to this places ......just worried about getting rich off our wealth not off mines..

the service is extremely lacking. I grew up eating Jenkins but somehow they never seemed to improve in service time. They seemed to open later than posted and close earlier than posted. 06.01.2017. Love being ignored by the woman taking the orders because she has major attitude. The grill had to come take our order and I was 2nd customer in line that she did that to. It seemed like he was the only trying to make the best of a bad situation. I am done with this location and I honestly think they should just shut it down.

Horrible experience. Cashier was VERY rude, ribs were cold, and I tried to call in my order on a slow Thursday night and no one answered the phone. The kings road location needs to take the "Quality " name off the sign! This restaurant used to be a local institution and now I will have serious doubts about ever spending another dollar there. It is a shame at how the name and quality of this restaurant has been denigrated. Totally disappointed, and in a sense heartbroken.

My favorite BBQ EVER! Every time I go home, I have to make a stop at Jenkins Barbecue. Im not quite sure what they put in the sauce but it has to be crack or something addictive because it keeps me coming back. While the people who work there are nice I cant give kudos for service because Ive waiting in line for at least 45 minutes to an hour on several occasions to get BBQ. They seem to never have anything ready. However, the food is just that good to get me to wait!

As a frequent customer of Jenkins, I would normally put 5 star but this time when I went in there today and I got three pork sandwiches and they stunk because they were rotten. So please check all of your food before you leave the premises. They just lost two customers. I know thats not a lot but if yall keep going like that its going to be more then two. Sincerely, Angela

It was just okay to me. The ribs were dry and over cooked. Very tough. The chicken was decent but lacked the smoked taste. After being told this was the best BBQ in Jacksonville Florida, I must admit I am extremely disappointed. The sauces were good and portions were good for the price.

We love eating Jenkins Barbecue but today 8/23/16 the cashier was very rude and the chicken was so dry and very very small, its a shame they would even put that on your plate.....What happened to carry about the customers.....will never go back to that Jenkins again what a SHAME!!!!

Luv luv luv. I even buy extra sauce to take home. Slab of ribs and half a chicken - who needs sides? The cover the ribs with that sauce, layer bread over the top and wrap that paper to close and I cant wait to get home !!! Makes ya wana slap your momma!!! Lol

A real place with real people! Dont go to the neighboring fast food restaurants. This place has good BBQ and sandwiches plus you get the family business experience. I enjoyed the conversation with Donovan who was born working in the family restaurant.

They NEVER have beef... But its delish anyways. But I always have to get chicken since its my religion to eat pork, so I dont have it as often as I would if the had beef!!

Excellent food and great friendly service. Pork on a bun with potato salad and baked and a sweet tea. Great affordable meal. Highly recommended to visit tgis place to eat
