Not good! Perhaps things have changed since the original reviews but I stopped by here a month ago craving some authentic BBQ. Where else better as this place looks the part. The pulled pork sandwich I had tasted and looked identical to the Jack Daniels stuff you buy in the plastic tub in your local grocery store. The park was shredded so fine and was swimming in sauce as to indicated it had been cooked in it. Between that and my two sides--potato salad and slaw, it tasted to me and wife like everything we ate came from a big box store. No signs of smoke in the microscopic shredded pork and when its swimming in the sauce like thick soup, it makes me instantly think that the meat couldnt possibly stand on its own. Maybe new owners, or new cost savings, or something b/c I dont see how this place could ever get multiple stars. One of my worst bbq experiences in a long time. At the least the beer was cheap.

Dam Smoker is a local BBQ joint with covered and uncovered picnic tables to eat at, plus serving draft or bottled beer. They have a stage and microphone for speakers or musicians in the outside covered pavilion. They periodically have a car show for the local Vetrans VORRH group. Political groups have events here due to the reasonable prices. If you like BBQ in a laid back atmospere, drop by. There is also an indoor eating area with Air Conditioning, but when I am with groups we are in the outside "picnic" area. If you come with a large group, the capacity of the womens restroom is limited, resulting in lines, so go inside the main building to use that one.

I moved here from New Hampshire and my boyfriend brought me here once and now I have to come here at least twice a month if not more... They have the best BBQ I have ever tasted but what really brings me back is the coleslaw, period.(And the great people that work there) I love it such much that I would drive there to get the coleslaw because I like to have it in the house along with there sweet BBQ sauce, overall just awesome... Everything they serve is great and I recommend the Dam" smoker barbecue to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price.

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat. Girlfriend stepped into the shade to have a smoke before we went in, since we had the baby with us. Some old lady came out screaming that we were on private property and wed have to leave. She was under the impression we were hunting pokemon. She didnt bother to ask, just assumed. Im not gonna say that I dont hunt pokemon, just that I wasnt at the time. Either way, I wont be back, the food is mediocre anyway.

Old school barbecue served in styrofoam containers and plenty of beer around. The locals clearly know each other and makes for an entertaining environment. Food portions were good - I got the rib dinner and couldnt finish the 6 healthy sized ribs and two sides. Worth a stop if you like to dunk your BBQ in sauce, but youll need to look elsewhere if you want a good dry rub style. Prices were fair and its worth coming to visit again.

Brought family here from Nebraska to try some true southern bbq ..the lady was so rude we almost left but the kids were starving so we waited for her to finally come take our order ..only to find out nothing was fresh everything they served us was microwaved and partially cold ...12 people ..120$ we all left still hungry and disapointed. .worst restaurant in lake County

Just ok came here as a second option since the old crow was closed. The only decent thing there was that they serve alcohol. Got the pulled pork sandwich and the pork had been sitting for a bit it was dry and sweet way too sweet. Cole slaw was watery and the beans were super sweet as well. Probably wont ever come back.

Place is hit or miss anymore unfortunately. We loved it here but something changed and food isnt nearly what it used to be. Ive had bone in my pork sandwich twice and the beef sandwiches are tough to chew. I wont return again. Btw it hasnt been my choice to stop hete after the first incident.

Stopped by on the way through and tried the chicken and ribs dinner with Mac n cheese and potato salad. Really good portion, had to force myself to finish it. Food was delicious and friendly service and a good value for the amount and quality of food. Ill stop by again.

Had one of the lunch specials the pulled chicken sandwich and 2 sides. The pulled bbq chicken was great. The bbq beans were good the mac and cheese ok. I will be back to try the ribs and the half bbq chicken. Great atmosphere.

To start the lady taking orders was VERY rude..My pork had more bone and gristle the meat. The greens were so salty i could not eat them. This place use to be so good.. I would NOt recommend and will never go back...

Loved it, we got full slab of ribs with two large sides on Sunday special had enough left over for second meal. Best ribs ever! Enjoyed Bluegrass music in barn. Only open Thursday-Sunday

Best Dam Barbecue Ribs I have ever eaten! I recently moved to just outside of Dallas Texas and yes, best brisket, BUT I miss DAM SMOKERS RIBS!!!!!
