We really enjoy Mojos, its a great place to eat an early dinner and walk off that extra desert by visiting the Shops at Avandale. The menu is set to please any palate and the full bar adds to any group get-to-together. It clean and friendly, waiters, waitresses and servers are knowledgeable and happy to assist your every request. We like to get there between 4 and 5 (its easier to find a parking place) and enjoy a leisurely before meal drink and a appetizer. Plan on sitting close together as the acoustics are a bit off with the high ceiling. We prefer a booth or a table in the back. The food is quickly served and there is a large choice of sauces to chose from. My daughter loves the onion rings (me too). Take your time and enjoy the meal. its worth it.

In the heart of Avondale, this restaurant is a favorite. Parking can be a trick at dinner time, you just have to be patient. Park a block or two away and you wont be disappointed, its a quaint area. Love the brisket here. It melts in your mouth. If you love Rubens and brisket, order it. So yummy. Also their corn is amazing. I know..its corn, how can it be amazing? They smoke it so its got a nice hearty flavor to it. The croutons for the salads are yummy too, it almost makes me sad that Ive gone gluten free. If you are a Whiskey drinker there will be plenty of options for you to taste.

The dryrub ribs and pulled pork are excellent and flavorful. Love the sweet sauce here - once tasted, was inclined to put it on everything. The sweet potato mash is also awesome - the crushed pecans and cinnamon was a nice touch to it. Service was very friendly and helpful in highlighting menu options and details to recipes. Decor is inviting and engaging - dimly lit, warm/dark browns, subtle orange and cream colors, offset by the visually pop / brightness of the pop surrealist themed paintings. Nice location - good for people watching, shopping, or a light stroll after the meal.

This place was amazing. Not a lot to look at from the outside but inside the staff were very friendly. It was busy but only a short wait to heaven and the need for expanding pants. Had dry rub ribs melt in your mouth, greens just like a sweet spinach and the most amazing smoked yellow corn. You will not need an app but I highly recommend the onion rings and the brisket bites. The music is great. My stomach cant wait to go back. My waist can

If you want great BBQ with a special atmosphere this is the place to go. Im very picky about BBQ and this place ranks among the best Ive had. Great Smokey flavor but not overpowering to the point where it lingers in your mouth for hours. The only con that I could think of is that its totally open and get loud very quick but really its kind of a personal preference thing and doesnt really matter as long as your contributing to the noise.

The service here is awful! I waited 10 minutes just to get annoyed, tell the receptionist I was leaving, and have someone chase me out the door as I left. I kid you not, I sat at a table for 10 minutes as I watched waiters and waitresses stand around and chit-chat with each other. No wonder the restaurant had plenty of open tables on a Saturday night (for future reference: That is never a good sign)!

Mojos is currently our favorite local bbq spot, we normally enjoy the University Blvd location. Our usual is the burnt ends and ribs and are normally great.. Not so much this time.. They didnt taste fresh. Please dont let that deter you from trying them out as everything else was good, especially the onion rings and smoked corn. I think we will stick to our favorite University Blvd location.

One of my favorite Mojo spots. The other would be the beach spot. Although I have never been to the other ones in Jax I find these two hard to beat. BBQ thats very hard to beat. The food and drinks here are top notch. Drinks are a bit pricey IMO, but with good company and good food I can forget about that. Great spot too right in the middle of the Avondale strip. One of my top spots in Jax.

Our dinner last night was delicious. I had salmon and my husband had chicken. Unfortunately the service was bad, really bad. We are usually pretty lenient and understanding when it comes to bad service, but in this case we actually said something to the waiter only to receive a flippant response. Sorry about the 3 stars, it would have been 5 if the service had been decent.

Ordered food tonight for dinner takeout the order was suppose to be Beef Brisket with Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy and Mac & Cheese and came home with Beef Brisket with Corn and Collard Greens... Went back and they gave us mashed potatoes and mac & cheese but with no gravy.. Two times messing it up is kind of bad... Wish they knew what the hell they were doing.

One of my favorite local restaurants with their Mojo Q Salad and some burnt ends. By the way, my dogs love Burnt ends, brisket. I always forget to go see them on Tuesdays, but they have some amazing deals on craft cocktails and other bar options. Dog friendly and Dog ready outside. Great addition to the restaurants offered in Avondale.

My fiance and I were nervous to come here after reading the reviews on Google. A family member recommended it. The hostess and waitstaff were prompt and polite. We ordered the spicy deviled eggs... Yum! Our meal came quickly and everything was hot and delicious. The waiter recommended two great whiskeys and I enjoyed my beef brisket.

No service at all. Even with multiple people coming into the place they turned away customers 2 hours before closing times posted. The excuse was because they werent a corporate store. If you arent a corporate store then you have seasonal hours, as simple as that. It constraints customers and helps the business to make more profit.

I had the pork and chicken barbeque with macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was some of the best I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, the service was really slow. The restaurant was not crowded. It took nearly 30 minutes for my 10 year old son to get his kids dinner. Really need to concentrate on faster service.

Amazing food. Great survive. The only thing I can say bad is that it can get kind of loud which makes it a bit difficult for hard hearing people. Also the way the outside is set up if even one person is smoking it lingers in the whole outside area since the wind cant move it along. But the food and drinks are amazing!
