July 2017 Sweet Tomatoes, Tamiami Trl, Fort Myers, Fl. Here is chatter and my 2 cents on the food. Well the only reason this carnivore went here is because I got a $25 gift card for free. I will say the staff was outstanding in helping me. It was very clean. Salad fresh. The food. I had 3 soups. A zucchini , clam chowder and mushroom. The zucchini was fine since I had no comparison. The room and clowder. Just plain suck. It states all made from scratch.They need to get new recipes. Plenty of ingredients just no good flavor. The cheese pizza bland. Macn cheese watery. Spaghetti only veggies, NO GARLIC, horrible. Well if you go against nature and are a vegetarian you deserve this nasty stufff... I have heard and seen the ads for Sweet tomatoes CA & FL. I prefer mom and pops places. But I must say my experience was very positive. I wanted a salad buffet and this seem to be one or two of the only game in the area. Its one price all you can eat salad soup & so call pizza stuff. The soups I tried were clam chowder( too much bacon flavor, large pieces of potatoes, ok) chili soup just that a soup ok tasting. The minestrone was all right lots of tomato flavor. Bread was hot and fresh very tasty. AHHH salad bar many different choices crisp and fresh. Place was wonderfully clean and Staff was outstandingly (lol) helpful. So when the veggie inside me hits I will come here for my salad craving. Note I was here at 1100 AM on a Tuesday. Going later you MAY have a different experience

Sweet Tomatoes ist ein Vegatarisches All You Can Eat Restaurant, es gibt aber auch normale Speisen wie Suppen mit Fleisch,Nudeln etc. Die Auswahl an Salaten, Tomaten usw. ist schon Großartig. Ich hatte einen Georgia Caesar Salad probiert, der hat klasse geschmeckt. Auch die vielen anderen " Sides " sind sehr gut. Die Auswahl beim Dessert ist Riesig und das Softeis ist Spitze. Das Lokal ist Sauber und Einladend, man muß auch den Restroom erwähnen, hier war es Piccobello Sauber. Das Abräumen der leeren Teller durch das Personal funktioniert super und fast unmerklich. Also wer mal etwas anderes wie Steak Essen will der muß hier unbedingt herkommen, man wird es nicht bereuen.

On vacay from Canada. Was here for lunch today. Cafeteria/buffet style eats. Unbelievable selection of salads and soups. Be it pre-prepped (not premade) or fresh, the selection was brilliant. Being that I am beginning a transition to Vegan and Gluten free, this place nailed it. Very unique combinations. I was tempted to try it all and came very close haha! On a side note, I was pleased to see all the young children eating healthy and genuinely enjoying themselves. Im also proud of all the parents for encouraging good habits and a healthy alternative dining experience. This is definitely my top go to while vacationing in the area.

I was greeted when I walked in, cashier was very friendly . that salad bar was good , the soup was good the pasta wasnt good. I didnt like the fact there was nothing interesting about this restaurant . if you like to pay 9.95 buffet plus 2.49 drink and eat mostly salad then this place is for you. More better Golden Coral at least they offer meats steamed vegs salad seafood etc and much better deserts . would I return mostly likely no , if they add chicken or other meats then most likely I would. I did like the fact you could refill your own drinks thats a plus

I went to this place at breakfast time for a meeting with a group. There was no one else there so I assume they reserved the place for this meeting. They had a breakfast buffet with some delicious things. The only reason Im giving them 4 stars is because they didnt mark the ingredients of their items. People have preferences in todays age. Vegetarian, kosher, gluten, etc. If they make it a practice to post the ingredients Id give them a full 5 star.

Really nice salad buffet that has staff constantly cleaning everything - so I never really worry about dirty plates or cups. They also have awesome soup, bread, pasta, and desserts (my favorite is chocolate lava or brownie muffins). Dont forget to try their strawberry lemonade, absolutely superb! So many options to mix and match everywhere too. Like I can make chocolate milk or bacon macaroni and cheese - the options are limitless!

Really enjoy coming here. Much better with new GM. The place has never been cleaner. Runs like a good watch. The new GM is on the floor and watches everything to make sure there is a great customer experience. The salad bar is excellent always fresh and clean. The soups and other hot dishes are made fresh daily. The baked goods are still hot with a wide selection. We eat here every Saturday.

This really was a wonderful all-you-can-eat place to eat. Lots of different fresh homemade soups to choose from. Salad bar had everything you could want on a salad. Pasta bar that I didnt try but looked good. Baked potato and sweet potato bar. The sweet potato was great with the flavored butter. And then the dessert bar was great with a lava cake and icemilk...yum! :) Super price too!!

Salad items provided great variety. I appreciated the oriental as well as Italian features. The pizza stuff is called focaccia, by the way. The soup selection was wonderful. I could not sample everything but I tried everything new to me. And my elderly grandmother received help carrying her tray to the table. That was so thoughtful!!! I had better commend the assistance!

Best buffet ever. All you can eat salad soups and pasta. Soft serve ice cream dessert bar. Breads and fruits. Very healthy. So many vegetarian options. Everything has signs to let you know. No servers only bussers that come and pick up your empty plates. Please dont feel like you wont leave full. Trust me youll have a happy full belly. Best healthy resturant option.

How does this place get such good reviews? I had a bowl of soup and chili, both were awful. The salad was standard, not good, not bad. I didnt try anything else because you can tell its cheap cafeteria food thats not cheap. I am a nice guy who is hard to disappoint but wow is all I can say. Wouldnt recommend over McDonalds.

Sloppy place with sloppy people. Expect coughing and sneezing with no effective effort to protect others. No dress code and people generally in anything up to dirty tee shirts, shorts and sandles. Open salad and food. You can have a nice relaxing slow meal of many things but this downside is there.

Usually when I come to Sweet Tomatoes I have a very good experience the staff is friendly and the food is good. This time the food was good same as usual however the waiter did not come to collect the plates off the table which was kind of annoying... and the bathrooms are never clean enough for me.

The best place to eat healthy at a reasonable price. An all time favorite of my family. Vegetables are always fresh and theres a wide variety to choose from. They have several kinds of soups,breads and pasta dishes. Of course dont forget the soft serve ice cream with all the toppings.

The salad was good, but nothing new or above par. The highlight for me was the soups. They tasted homemade and fresh. The establishment was very busy for lunch, but the staff went out of their way to find a seat for us. Next time, I would like to try their dinner selection.
