Weve eaten at Origami at least 8 times this past year and our experience there worsens with each visit. Last night killed it for us. For starters the fountain at the entrance to the restaurant smells like an unclean fish tank.. Nasty! But tonight it was about service and sushi.. Both were wanting. After we received our drinks it was 10 minutes before our waitress took our order. The place wasnt busy and there were 4 wait staff. We ordered Korean and were served the side dishes 20 minutes before the entree. The sushi rolls we ordered were the worst Ive ever had. This is unusal for Origami, but last night they were sloppy, uneven and loose rolls. The entrees were fine, but at this point I was analyzing everything and the value isnt worth the cost (they are overpriced). Needless to say it was the utterly poor service that motivated this review. We wont be going back.

We are new to the area and found this restaurant after a quick search for "romantic restaurants in Fort Myers" to celebrate our anniversary. My husband loves sushi so thought wed give it a go. I was almost 6 months pregnant at the time so I checked the menu out before and was pleasantly surprised with all the non-sushi items! Arrived here late Thursday evening and it was quiet, not busy at all. Cute decor, really nice environment. I got chicken fried rice with clear soup (which was delicious, first time trying it!) and my husband got 2 rolls and Yakisoba. He loved the rolls and said next time hed just get those as the Yakisoba was good but not really noteworthy. Waitress was very friendly. Prices were pretty reasonable. Will come back again!

This is REAL Korean food! It brought up great memories of our stay in Korea and all of the wonderful food that we had there. The soup was terrific...as well as the pork belly. We also tried some Sushi which was very nice. The spices, warmth, selection as well as a nice array of beverages makes this place THE PLACE to go for Korean. The staff is wonderful and all very personable. This place does not disappoint. I should mention that the restaurant is beautiful as well. Extremely clean and no cramping of space. Wonderful sushi bar as well as a regular bar. Restrooms were very clean.

Food was nice and simple but service moved slowly where my wife and I were the only customers. The waitress also presented herself as a little "irked" that she had to work. I would of left then but my wife wanted to see what the food was like. We ordered bento boxes with beef and chicken bulgogi. Sweet, tender and with a slight hint of onion, the meat was delicious as was the sushi accompaniment. Thats it. Food was good, service needs some work. Big time in the attitude area.

This sushi place is the best one around hands down!! Me and my family started going here from the time they were at their old location to the time theyve moved. Love their tuna tataki and spicy mayo rolls. The interior of the place is beautiful and fancy. The people are so friendly and the owner is great! Its not cheap, but its worth it. If youre looking for a good sushi place I would definitely recommend this one.

Origami has a broad menu of Japanese and Korean food with a laid back, clean atmosphere and friendly and prompt service. Front sushi bar is great for food and drink happy hour and back restaurant is perfect for a sit down dinner with friends or family. I stopped in after arriving at the Fort Myers airport craving fresh sushi and was not disappointed. I will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I visited while on vacation in the area. We got a Mexican roll and the Clear Soup to start with. Both were delicious! We had the Roast Duck and Teriyaki Steak & Chicken as our entrees. Both meals were very tasty, with the exception of the mashed potatoes with the duck. They tasted very artificial. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area again.

My first experience with the Origami sushi restaurant was great. I literally had a drink and appetizers on the way within minutes of sitting down. The food was top class and delicious. My server Kelly was awesome and the sushi chefs were all artists. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for great sushi and a laid back atmosphere.

My friends brought me here for my birthday because I love sushi. The food was amazing and abundant! I ordered the calamari steak which was the biggest piece of calamari I have ever seen! I actually took enough home to have for dinner the next day. The servers were attentive and pleasant. I left there stuffed and happy and will return. Gladly.

The service was struggling to keep up & slow on a Sunday night in October, and the main courses seemed hit or miss (2 of 3 in my party were unhappy with their order). However, the sushi selection, flavor, and presentation was excellent for both rolls we ordered, and the hot sake was good. Overall, it was a little on the pricey side.

Was actually turned on to Origami because we did a hands on sushi class with the owner Rosa. We visited the new location and the food was excellent. The two highlights had to be the crab appetizer and the sashimi tacos. The sashimi tacos are not on the menu, but are a must. Will go back for more.

This is by far the best place to get sushi and Asian cuisine in general in the area. The chefs know what they are doing and the ingredients are quality. There is a variety of food for every taste. This restaurant features a sushi bar, a drink bar, and a seating area both inside and outside.

The best food for sushi and Korean food. They created sushi with their passion and vision. I could see vision of Origami Korean restaurant how they create Sushi. You will see and feel if you order their special sushi at Origami. I really loved the place and time to spend. thanks

Came here for lunch. They have about the best sushi around! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. After looking at their menu of Oriental food, I will be returning to try them for dinner. You can sit outside by the fountain, inside at the sushi bar or in their dining room.

I was very happy with my meal. The cajun tuna sashimi was one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had! The bibim bap was top notch as well. All in all I am glad I stopped. Traveler fyi this is located between bealls outlet and stein mart - which was not clear on my GPS

I really like the spicy pork. The box lunch is a great deal. I love the salad with the sesame dressing. My husband and I love the spicy crab spring roll and the lightly battered fried oysters. Our daughters love the yakitori. Wish they were open for lunch on Sundays
